Chapter 3
Thanos tapped his fingers on the desk, his leg bouncing, boredom swallowed him whole. He tried to focus, but it was useless, nothing made sense anymore, Same god awful old shit, It was like the universe had picked on him. He kept glancing at the clock every nanosecond, waiting for the break, he just needed to get out of here, He had some “business” to take care of..
Finally, the goddamn bell rang.
Without hesitation, Thanos shot up from his seat and was already halfway out the door before the teacher could even dismiss the class, “Thanos! Get back here!” the teacher called after him.
Yeah, not happening.
He didn’t care about the embarrassment. Didn’t care about the stares. He was already in the hallway, weaving past students, making a beeline for the music room, he pushed the door open, Empty, like yesterday, But the little pianist would show up any second.. right?
He ducked under the desk, popped a pill from the necklace around his neck, and swallowed it dry.
Right on cue, the door creaked open, the lights flicked on, Thanos didn’t even bother to check, but this time Namgyu went straight to the piano.
Did he not notice him?
Thanos sat up, brushing dust off his shirt “Hey!” Namgyu groaned, barely glancing up “Are you here for the drugs again?” Thanos grinned “Mhm~ Gotta clear my head, piano boy~!”
Namgyu shot him a glare “Never call me that ever again” Thanos shrugged and stuck his tongue out, then, without a second thought, he hopped onto the piano sitting on it like a chair “Play something!”
Namgyu’s eyes widened in horror “GET OFF!!” ,Thanos held his hands up in mock defense “Whoa, hey, no need to get so sensitive—”
“I’m serious. Get off.”
“And what if I don’t?” Thanos smirked, Namgyu gritted his teeth “Then I’m gonna tell on about you”
Thanos didn’t even flinch and basically replied “I’ll simply tell them you took one from me”
Namgyu glared but said nothing, he had no comeback for that.. “Come on, don’t be a party pooper” Thanos said, swinging his legs “Just play something!”
Namgyu let out a long, suffering sigh “Will that get you off?”
Thanos tapped his chin, pretending to think “Sure!”, Namgyu muttered something under his breath but sighed and placed his hands on the keys. His fingers flew across the piano, filling the room with rapid, The only sound was the music and the tapping noise.
Thanos kept talking.. some nonsense about his day, complaining about school, about teachers, but Namgyu wasn’t listening. He just nodded along, pretending to care, until a certain question caught him “Yo, yo, dude, you said you’d help me with music, right?”
Shit.
Namgyu had forgotten about that..
Why did he ever agree to that? What was he thinking? He didn’t want to do this, At all. But backing out now would be awkward, so he sighed and stopped playing.
“Yeah, I guess.”
Thanos beamed “Let’s go! Can you come over today? I really need help, bro.”
Ah, fuck. Should’ve seen that coming, “Sure….”Namgyu muttered, trying (and failing) to hide his annoyance, “Great! Gimme your number so I can send you the location” thanos said unlocking his phone opening the contacts app and handing it to Namgyu.
Namgyu hesitated, Then, with another sigh, he took Thanos phone and typed it in “There” he said, handing it back, Thanos smirked at the screen, then stuffed the phone into his pocket “YIPPEE!!” He cheered
Silence. Silence filled the room, Awkward silence, at least for Namgyu..
He fidgeted with his fingers, staring at the piano, then at Thanos, making eye contact then immediately looked back down, he wanted the bell to ring, Now. He wanted to get the fuck out of here, He wished yesterday had never happened…
meanwhile Thanos was watching him, observing him, he squinted his eyes and—
“OHHHHHH, you want drugssss!”
Namgyu blinked, Stared, he opens his mouth to speak multiple of times sounded more like stuttering.
This guy was stupid.
He pinched the bridge of his nose “YEAHHHH. YEAAHH, TOTALLLY..” he said sarcastically, smiling sarcastically.
Thanos smirked, completely oblivious “Junkie” he whispered “I’m not giving you any, though” ,Namgyu gasped “Are you serious?” He said in a confused tone this isn’t about drugs, “Sorry!” Thanos replied “Oh, for fuck’s sake—”
The bell rang.
Finally.
Namgyu was up in an instant, flicking the lights off and bolting out of the room before Thanos could react “Huh?” Thanos blinked he tried to follow, but Namgyu had already disappeared into the crowd.
“Aww” he whined.
With a sigh, he shoved his hands into his pockets and dragged himself back to class.
