Chapter 2

I walk over to the table where some of my adopted siblings, Tim, Damian, Dick, and Barbra, are sitting. I take the seat two seats over from Tim. He's the least likely to talk to me- just how I like it. I sit down and Alfred brings me a plate with two pancakes, two eggs (Sunny side up), and three strips of bacon. Simple. I mumble a thanks before digging in, I wasn't very hungry but I don't eat the school lunches so I'll need a full enough stomach to last until I get a snack when I get home from school. But of course I just can't have this sensational breakfast in peace- someone just NEEDS to butt in.

"So, Liz, did you sleep well?" Dick asks, he's most likley the only one that wants to be awake right now.

"Mhm, it was fine" I reply simply. It's too early for conversations man. "You?" I mean- it would be rude not to ask it back.

"Pretty well for a Monday, am I right?" He asks as he nudges Tim, who has the pain of sitting by him. Tim looks half dead while drinking coffee out of a mug that says 'Best Dad" on it in red letters. Decaf I bet. Tim just makes a grunt sound in reply. I feel him.

I have nothing against Dick, he's just too much for me. Its too early and Monday-ey for him right now. He's too awake. He's like a kid on a sugar high or a baby crying at 2am. Too much. Once I finish I take the plate and put it in the sink before grabbing my backpack by the door and I sit on the couch as I wait for Damian, Steph, and Duke to get ready so Alfred can drive us to school. Within 5 minutes, all three come down at different times. After Damian eats he leaves his plate where it is before coming to the livingroom and waiting with me. Duke comes shortly after, skipping breakfast, claiming he'd eat at school. Steph comes last and in a rush. She dashes to the waffles and quickly eats 2 within a minute. Now THATS magic.
