Return and New Arrival
Leo's POV:
I couldn’t believe that I didn’t die. I was lucky and eager to return home, but before I could I had a promise that I had to complete. Gaea wasn’t the final battle and I had to help Calypso get off her island and then return to our family to begin to prepare for the final battle.
“I am really going to miss this place, after so many years stuck, I grown to love it as home. You know that feeling right?" Calypso told me as she met me on the shore.
“I know, but don’t worry, next time you come for even a visit, you won’t get stuck. Now its time to finally return home, back to our family. Are you ready?” I told her.
“Always.”
We began our voyage to our family knowing where we will all meet up to go to our final destination-home.
Percy's POV:
After some time, I finally left my cabin. I was all cried out, but I kept thinking that now that the war was over, what use am I? I was lost in my thoughts when I found myself by Thalia’s tree and saw someone running towards the camp with a silhouette following them. Without hesitation, I ran towards them, thinking they are in trouble.
“Are you ok?” I asked the person when I met them, the silhouette still a bit far away.
“ Hell no! What the hell is that thing with horns?! I just began chasing me out of nowhere.” They responded.
“ Horns? You have to run past that tree, then you will be safe. Wait there and then I’ll explain everything. Go!” I told them urgently, pointing past Thalia’s tree. How the hell to monsters respawn so quickly. We just finished the final battle, but as always the Minotaur keeps on coming back. Just as the person finished crossing the tree, the Minotaur finally catches up to where I was waiting for him.
“I’d say long time no see, but honestly it hasn’t been long enough. How about next time saying away for 100 years.” I snarked at the Minotaur.
I just received a grunt in response, seems like he wasn’t amused. Well that sucks, these monsters really need a sense of humor. Oh well, guess its time to kill him again. I uncapped Riptide and began to circle the Minotaur. I saw he was beginning to get ready to charge, and just as I was about to side jump, I noticed his stance was different. Damn, seems like he made some modifications to his fighting style. This observation cost me a few seconds, forcing me to block his horns with Riptide, trying to slide underneath his legs or else I would be crushed. It took some time, but I was able to slide underneath. At this point, I heard the unknown demigod yell, distracting me as I turned to see what caused them to yell. In this moment the Minotaur was able to grab me by the arm and began squeezing. Damn it hurts, luckily, he didn’t grab my sword arm and I was able to swing Riptide, cutting his arm. In his moment of pain, I slashed across Minotaur’s chest and stabbed him in the heart. In the moment when he turned to dust, I began to stagger back to camp. For some reason, the Minotaur had changed his usual battle forms but why? I didn’t have much time as then I saw the demigod faint and hit his head against the tree. I wasn’t going to be able to carry them to the infirmary, the Minotaur had truly hurt my arm. I used my empathy link to contact Grover to come to the tree and to bring some ambrosia and water. While I waited, I checked the demigod’s head, it doesn’t’ seem that he hit himself to hard, but I did notice some minor injuries around his arms.
“Percy! What the happened?!”
I turned around and saw Grover and Annabeth running towards us. I recounted to them what had happened once they arrived, while eating some of the ambrosia, feeling my arm get better.
“Help me take him to the infirmary.” I told them.
Grover and me carried the demigod to the infirmary and laid him to the first empty bed we found.
“Why is it empty? Where are the children of Apollo?” I asked.
“ I don’t know, maybe they just stepped out for a bit.” Grover responded.
I turned to look through the medical cabinets looking for some smelling salts.
“Percy, what are you looking for?”
I heard someone say, and as I turned around I saw Jake, the son of Hephaestus, enter with some burns on his right arm.
“ Looking for some smelling salts. They fainted and I’m trying to wake them up.” I told him, while gesturing to the occupied bed. Jake takes a seat in the bed next to that one, as Annabeth handed him some ambrosia for his burns.
“Aha!” I exclaimed as I found the salts. I turned to the bed and lifted their head, and opened the salts underneath their nose. As I waited for them to wake up, I began to observe them, they were tan and had a couple of lip piercings that suited their face. Their hair was black with purple highlights, and they had some muscles underneath his hoodie. Then I noticed that slowly their eyes were fluttering, until they opened and I was pierced by their blue eyes.
“Hello”
“Well at least he didn’t drool.”
