I know that not everyone is a big fan of zombie apocalypse but trust me, the story will not be about survival only. If you've read my stuff, you know how messy my books get xd

Wednesday walked upstairs to their shared room, finding Enid on the balcony, just looking and admiring the nature surrounding the place. Wednesday took a second before making her way up to the blonde, leaning on the railing.

-I am not in the mood for more of your stupid comments., warned Enid with a low tone.

-I didn’t come here for that., replied Wednesday truthfully.

Enid didn’t say anything, but Wednesday could tell that the girl was wondering why she was there then.

-I’m not one to apologize so don’t expect that. But your friend has warned me that you have some sort of anger issues. I do not wish to be ‘smacked’, as Yoko said. Although it definitely sounds like it’s something you should work on, I will try my best to refrain from, well, pissing you off., said the smaller girl.

-So you won’t be a bitch anymore cause you’re scared of me?, scoffed Enid.

-Scared of you? In your dreams. I won’t be a bitch to you anymore because I have better things to do. Such as surviving an apocalypse with a bunch of strangers., replied Wednesday, looking at the forest.

-You’ve only been an asshole towards me. Why?, asked Enid, looking at her.

Wednesday wasn’t sure why. It’s not like she was doing it on purpose. Or maybe she was? Maybe she liked pushing Enid’s buttons? But she’d never say that out loud.

-Hello?, frowned the blonde.

-Because you get easily frustrated., shrugged Wednesday.

-Wow. Very mature of you., scoffed Enid.

-I didn’t come here to argue., frowned the smaller girl.

-Well, apparently it’s all we do, so., shrugged the younger girl.

-I suppose that’s true. I could sleep on the couch in the living room if you’d like., suggested Wednesday, looking at Enid.

-What? No. No, that’s stupid. How is that your conclusion of this conversation?, frowned the blonde.

-To be honest, this is probably the longest normal conversation I’ve had with someone., shrugged Wednesday.

-This is a normal conversation? You’ve got some low standards., said Enid with a light chuckle.

-I don’t usually converse with anyone outside of my family., admitted Wednesday.

-Well that’s just sad., replied the blonde.

Wednesday rolled her eyes at Enid’s comment, looking back at the trees gently moving with the breeze.

-I just came here to make sure that I don’t have to sleep with one eye open. That is all., said Wednesday with a sigh.

-I’d never lay my hands on anyone who doesn’t seriously deserve it., stated Enid quickly.

-Well, I sure hope that’s true., nodded the smaller girl.

Enid simply nodded back before moving away from the railing.

-I need to take a shower. I’ll use our private bathroom, right?, asked Enid, unsure how to behave in this unfamiliar house.

-Yes. There are clean towels on the shelves and you can use my shampoo and stuff., replied Wednesday, looking at her.

-Perfect. Thank you., nodded the blonde.

-Mhm., hummed the smaller girl.

Enid gave her one last look before walking back into their bedroom. She walked to her duffel bag, grabbing her clean clothes before walking to the bathroom. She locked the door out of relax and then looked around, seeing the towels Wednesday had mentioned. She grabbed one and placed it near the bathtub before starting to undress herself.

Meanwhile, Wednesday walked back into their bedroom. Her eyes landed on her roommate’s opened duffel bag. She frowned a little, being tempted. At first she hesitated, shaking her head. But she eventually gave into temptation, walking up to the duffel bag and looking inside it. Wednesday went through it, looking at what Enid had packed. She wasn’t interested in her clothes, obviously. She was just looking for- well, she wasn’t sure what she was looking for. She shrugged that off. That’s when she saw a huge envelope. The girl pulled it out and looked into it, seeing her passport? Well that made sense she had to travel. Although she could have just used her ID. That’s when Wednesday noticed another document. Why would Enid carry her own birth certificate? Shouldn’t that be at her home?

-What are you doing?, asked a voice behind her.

Well shit.

-Your bag was open., said Wednesday, trying to sound nonchalant and unbothered.

-And you think that gives you the right to go through my stuff? Fuck, Wednesday. I thought we were making progress a few minutes ago and now I find you snooping around?, said Enid as she walked up to her bag and ripped it away from Wednesday.

-Why do you have your birth certificate?, asked Wednesday with a frown.

Enid scoffed and shook her head, not believing the girl’s actions.

-You went through my fucking things, Wednesday. That is not okay. You do realize that, right?, frowned the blonde.

-You’re also going through my things. You’re literally living in my house., shrugged the smaller girl.

-That is different and you know it., argued Enid, still in disbelief.

-You left the bag open., continued Wednesday.

-Stop trying to find an excuse and own up to what you did!, yelled the younger girl, slowly losing my patience.

Wednesday just looked at her and shook her head, as if Enid was the one who had made a mistake. Enid lost it. She dropped her bag, grabbed Wednesday by her hoodie and pushed her up against a wall.

-You’re fucking testing my patience right now, Addams., warned the blonde.

-So? What are you going to do? Punch me? Kill me?, scoffed Wednesday.

Enid was about to reply but she saw something in the doorframe. She looked at it, seeing Amy, in Yoko’s hoodie and her sweatpants, just watching the two. The blonde clenched her jaw, not wanting Amy to get the wrong idea about her. Enid let go of Wednesday. That is when the little girl just walked up to Enid and hugged her, her arms barely reaching Enid’s waist, her head against the blonde’s stomach. The older girl hadn’t expected that. She just looked down at the girl, surprised by her actions. Enid gently rubbed her back, hugging her back.

-Can I sleep here?, mumbled the girl.

Enid did not see that coming.

-Uh yeah. Of course., nodded the blonde.

The little girl smiled and let go of Enid. She ran up to the bed, jumping on it with her teddybear in her hand. Wednesday gave the blonde a little glare.

-The only reason you don’t have a broken nose right now, is her. One word and I swear I’ll fuck you up., warned Enid after lowering her voice.

Wednesday wouldn’t let it show, but she for once took the threat seriously. She just shrugged it off and walked to her bed, laying down. Enid did the same, happy to have Amy between the two. The blonde tried to get comfortable, but she then felt someone hugging her arm. Enid got the hint and gently pulled Amy into her arms, holding her.

-Comfy?, asked the blonde.

-You’re like a big teddybear. Very comfy., nodded Amy with a grin.

Enid couldn’t help but chuckle at that. And without uttering another word, the three of them went to sleep.
