Chapter 1
As the sun began to set on the small village of Bronzelton, a young boy named Korzar Belovan ventured into the nearby forest, seeking adventure and escape from his daily chores. With a curious heart and a thirst for discovery, Korzar wandered deeper into the woods than he had ever gone before.
As the trees grew taller and the underbrush thicker, Korzar stumbled upon a hidden path he had never seen before. The air grew quieter, and an eerie silence fell over the forest. Korzar's curiosity got the better of him, and he followed the path, which wound its way through the trees until he came upon a clearing.
In the center of the clearing stood the remnants of a once-great kingdom. Crumbling stone walls, overgrown with vines and moss, surrounded a massive stone keep. Korzar's eyes widened as he approached the entrance, where two stone statues of majestic lions guarded the gate.
Just as Korzar reached out to touch one of the lions, a figure emerged from the shadows. Hood up and face obscured, the figure regarded Korzar with an unreadable gaze.
"Welcome, young one," the figure said in a low, gravelly voice. "I have been waiting for you. I have been charged with keeping the secrets of this ruin, a once beautiful kingdom now to ruins."
Korzar's eyes sparkled with excitement as Arin beckoned him to follow. They walked through the ruined streets, the hooded figure pointed out the various landmarks and sharing stories of the kingdom's former glory.
"Leuronix was a place of wonder and magic," Arin said, his voice filled with a deep longing.
"The kingdom was ruled by a wise and just Queen, who possessed the power to communicate with the ancient magic that flowed through the land. She was the strongest known in our lands, there stood with her wife. Whom she always folded to, so strong yet so weak to her wife." The hooded figure chuckled.
As they approached the statue, the tale unfolded further.
"The ruler of Leuronix was a brave woman, fought wars. And guess what? She was a dragon! She was beautiful with her silver hair and she was huge! Around 6'5 or the statue stated. Her name was Kerazona Reveldon. Her wife was the beautiful and perfect Jaylan Leuronix. The heir to the throne but married to our strong dragon."
"Five hundred years ago, a great calamity struck Leuronix. A dark sorcerer, fueled by ambition and greed, sought to claim the kingdom's magic for himself. The Queen, determined to protect her people, confronted the sorcerer in a final, desperate bid to save Leuronix."
The figure's voice dropped to a whisper as they entered the keep.
"The battle raged on, with both sides wielding powerful magic. But in the end, it was the Queen's own sacrifice that saved his people. He absorbed the dark sorcerer's magic, sacrificing himself to save Leuronix. But the kingdom was already doomed. The magic, now unstable and corrupted, ravaged the land, destroying everything in its path."
As the figure ended the tale with a cliffhanger on what happened next, the sun dipped below the horizon, casting the ruins in a warm, golden light. Korzar felt a deep connection to the fallen kingdom and its people.
"What happened to the people of Leuronix?" Korzar asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
The hooded figure's hooded gaze met Korzar's.
"Hm.. come back the next day, I'll be waiting for you, and if you finish the tale of the legendary Leuronix, will you help me revive it? I might have to show you my face as well."
As the stars began to twinkle in the night sky, the hooded figure turned to Korzar.
"You, young one, are now a part of Leuronix's story. Will you help keep the memory of this fallen kingdom alive?"
Korzar nodded, his heart filled with a sense of purpose.
"I will," he promised. "I'll make sure the story of Leuronix is never forgotten. I'll come back when I can sir!"
As Korzar left the ruins, the weight of Leuronix's history settled upon him. He knew that he had stumbled upon something much greater than himself – a legacy that would stay with him forever. A new mission and a realisation.
He was destined to find the unusual path, destined to bring back the Kingdom of Leuronix.
