"Laura! we're gonna be late! Can you just Hurry up?!"
Carmilla was practically screaming from the living room of Laura's house.
"Hey honeybear! looks like 'motherdearest' paid Carmilla a big amount to go to school this time."
Mr. Hollis joked while he's laughing at Carmilla for getting excited on their first day in college. Carmilla gave him an eye-roll for that.
"Oh Come on Laura! Will and I made a bet that I will not be late on the first day and I left home with him still sleeping on the couch!"
Carmilla gave an exasperated sigh and gave Mr. Hollis a pleading look.
"Oh no! Laura! Carmilla just gave me her charmed pleading look! and I can't resist it! I'm coming up to get you."
Carmilla silently gave herself a high five for nailing that pleading look that gets anyone. As Mr. Hollis goes near the stairs Laura shouted
"No need for you to get me dad! I'm almost done with my hair!"
"What the hell are you even doing with your hair?"
Carmilla growled then quickly covered her mouth shockingly. She turns to look at Mr. Hollis and he just gave her a smirk. Frustratedly, Carmilla grab a dollar in her pocket and walk lazily to the Swear Jar. (I swear, most of the money in this Swear jar was mine. WAS REALLY MINE! Ugh I've got to zip my mouth shut when I'm in this house!)
"And there goes one dollar of what motherdearest gave me."
Mr. Hollis laughs, Carmilla sighs this time he's feeling sorry for the girl which makes him go upstairs to get Laura.
"Laura honey, you're gonna be late can you just-"
The door flings open.
"Dad! I told you you don't need to come up! Carmilla's being competitive with Will again even though she knows she'll win another bet with him.. AGAIN."
Laura says while Mr. Hollis is giving her a bearhug
"FINALLY!"
Carmilla says as she stood up from the couch after she glance at Laura, she gave her an angry questioning look.
"What? Is there something in my face? Or in my Shirt? Does my top looks ugly? Does it not match with my shoes? CARMILLA! SAY SOMETHING!"
Laura said in less than 5seconds
Carmilla stares at her for so long she practically wave her hands infront of her.
(DAMN KARNSTEIN YOU'RE STARING AGAIN!! Laura's looking great as always, she's a huge dork but yeahh she really is cute, she really is my one and only cupcake..... my one and only BEST FRIEND.)
"You are so buying our meal this time! Your hair didn't even change! It's still the same style you fix every single day! What took you so long fixing it?"
"Seriously? Carm?! I put some pins in it!"
"Ugh! Just hurry up cupcake so you can have a front row seat on our first subject-"
"And you can take the back row part? No way Carm! You're gonna seat beside me and that final."
"You know I hate it when I get some professors and students looking at my back right? and I can't read my book .."
"I know but how will you see them if you don't have your eyes behind your thick head? plus you really have to listen to class."
"Let's just see who wins this seating arrangement when we head to Silas so can you pleaaase just go inside my car?"
Carmilla sighs for the nth time this morning (this girl will really be the death of me.) looking at Laura while she's saying goodbye to Mr. Hollis
"Bye dad!"
"Bye Honeybear! Drive safe Carmilla and I don't wanna hear a report about a hot looking car with a cupcake sticker on it speeding past the limit ... again ok kid?"
Laughing sarcastically at her bestfriends dad but you can see the small smile in her lips
"Ha-Ha That was one time! Yas Mr. Hollis! And I'll make sure to bring this cute cupcake home safe too" then whispers "You know she might get start to be jealous about our lovely bond Papa-Bear!" That made Mr. Hollis chuckle.
"I heard that! ohh come on you big baby! You have a bet to win! mmkey dad! byeeee!"
"Bye girls!" Mr. Hollis said as he look at her lovely daughter and her bestfriend for almost 14 years a knowing smile.
