Five months have passed since Elphaba’s pregnancy and the Upland-Thropp family
couldn’t been more happier.
It’s exactly what they wanted and they wouldn’t change anything about their journey.
Galinda went to Elphaba with the idea of having children first. Weeks later, the couple decided to dabble in magic, which was once second nature to them. They found the perfect spell that would grant their wishes.
A month later, after researching and making sure the spell was just right, with no faults or errors, Galinda and Elphaba decided it was time to try. The spell made a way for Galinda’s female ejaculation to be transformed as semen to impregnate Elphaba.
The couple made the decision that Elphaba would carry their baby. Galinda always smiled at the thought of Elphaba carrying their child.
The couple spent that entire night love (baby) making.
Now all they had to do was wait.
Two weeks after the spell, Elphaba woke up to the odd feeling in her stomach, before hurrying out of bed and rushing to the toilet.
She plummeted on the floor being releasing the unwanted fluids that came from her mouth.
Galinda wasted no time springing into action, she jumped from the bed and immediately followed Elphaba in the bathroom.
Galinda came to her side, calmly rubbing her back. “It’s okay, Elphie. I’m here.” Elphaba’s puking continued, and so did Galinda’s comforting.
Once Elphaba seemed to be finished, she backed away from the toilet with a disgusted groan.
“I’ll be right back, okay?” Galinda leaned down, planting a kiss on Elphaba’s forehead and adjusting her bonnet, which had slipped during the violent puking, before exiting the bathroom.
Elphaba nodded, leaning against the wall. Her body was far too weak to do anything else right now.
Galinda arrived back into the bathroom, a soft smile appeared on her lips before walking over to Elphaba. She held out her hand to assist her sick wife up from the floor.
“Are you okay, baby?” Galinda asked, opening a bottle of water and handing it to Elphaba. She downed half of the water before speaking, “I feel better now, I just haven’t thrown up in ages. I forgot how much of a pain it is.”
Galinda slowly began to speak, “Yeah.. well I think this has something to do with your sickness..” Elphaba raised her eyebrows, but they immediately went flat when Galinda revealed a pregnancy test.
The spell.
“Oh.” Elphaba looked at the box Galinda had in her hand. She almost forgotten about the spell they casted weeks ago.
Could it had possibly worked?
“You think..?” Elphaba grabbed the box from her wife’s grip. Galinda shifted her weight to the opposite side before speaking, “Possibly.. I did read that symptoms of pregnancy would show 10-14 days after completion of the spell.”
Galinda grabbed Elphaba’s hand. “We’ll just have to find out.”A comforting smile appeared on Galinda’s face.
Elphaba nodded, “I’ll take the test.” She began to read the box and open it.
“Do you want me to stay with you?” Galinda became anxious. Everything is happening too fast.
Elphaba became nervous, “I mean, you could stay if you would like. I just have to pee on a stick.” She shrugged.
The couple hadn’t felt this nervous with each other since a decade ago when they were back at Shiz University.
“Oh- Okay. I’ll look away until you’re finished.” She reassured. Galinda turned to the wall and occupied herself with her fidgeting fingers.
The room became silent before the sound of Elphaba peeing filled the room. Galinda couldn’t help but to giggle at the sound.
“Okay, you can turn now.” Elphaba announced as she walked towards the sink. She sat the test down and began to wash her hands.
“The test should be ready in a few minutes.” Galinda spoke, “Let’s wait in the room, okay?” She grabbed her wife’s hand and walked them into the room.
During the wait, Elphaba became anxious. What if I’m unable to carry. I don’t want to disappoint Galinda, more so myself. I want this as much as her.
Galinda noticed Elphaba staring into space with fidgeting hands. “Hey,” Galinda’s hand fell on Elphaba’s thigh. Elphaba’s fidgeting stopped, yet her stares at the wall didn’t.
“Just relax, baby. Everything is gonna be fine no matter the outcome. I love you and you’re all I need, okay?”Galinda reassured.
“But, I know how bad you’ve been wanting to have children.. What If I’m unable to give you want you want..?” Elphaba was far too in her head right now, her foot beginning to bounce.
“Elphaba, look at me.” Galinda turned Elphaba’s face for them to be eye to eye. She leaned her forehead against Elphaba’s.
“You’re all I want and need Elphaba Thropp-Upland. It could be just us growing old together in this house and I would die the happiest woman in the world. Do you hear me?”
A tear began to roll down Elphaba’s face. Desperate for touch, she quickly grabbed Galinda’s hand, leaving behind a firm squeeze. “I love you.” She whispered, pressing a light kiss on Galinda’s lips, Galinda herself deepening the kiss.
“I love you most.” Galinda smiled, another kiss being shared between the couple.
“Are you ready?” Galinda gently rubbed Elphaba’s cheeks with her thumbs. “I’ll come with?” It was more of a question, Galinda being unsure if Elphaba changed her mind because of emotions.
“Yes, I’m ready.” Elphaba nodded softly and rose to her feet, Galinda mirroring her actions and grabbing her wife’s hand.
The two made it to the bathroom. The pregnancy test still placed on the sink, waiting to be revealed.
Elphaba grabbed the test slowly, her hand slightly trembling in anticipation. She flipped the test over, analyzed it before looking at Galinda.
“What does it say, baby?”
Elphaba turned the test to Galinda. Galinda held her gaze with Elphaba before looking down at the test.
Two lines.
“We’re- You’re pregnant..” Galinda trailed off.
A big smile formed onto Galinda’s face. “You’re pregnant!” She leaped into Elphaba’s arms, the pregnancy test falling from Elphaba’s hands.
“I can’t believe it, Elphie we’re gonna be parents.” nearly sobbing in Elphaba’s ear as she continued to hold her.
“We’re gonna be great parents, Galinda.” Elphaba crying as well. Galinda parted from Elphaba’s arms.
“I cannot believe we have a little one growing in my stomach.” Elphaba spoke. Being a mother is something she always wanted.
She wanted to do it right. She wanted to give their child everything she never had, that she’s always wanted. Elphaba was going to make sure that happened.
Her little one.
