Note
Hey y'all! This is going to be a side fic for the time being. I've been working on another fic for quite some time so this one won't be updated as regularly as my 'Leaving Home (My Heart Never Left You)' fic..for now atleast.Anyways, hope you like what I have so far. Enjoy! And sorry for any mistakes.Oh and btw, when Clarke is singing in the flashback, she's singing Gasoline by Halsey. Just wanted to get that out there, so nobody thinks I created those lyrics.

Paparazzi

Clarke knows that she should't just be walking into Lexa's house like this. They aren't together and it's a complete invasion of Lexa's privacy, but then she sees the paparazzi getting their cameras ready and instinct takes over. She really doesn't want to be at the center of the magazines again, especially after that interview that bitch Costia blasted everywhere. If Clarke ever sees that girl again...she doesn't know what she'd do.

Clarke breathes in slowly and pushes the door open. The first thing she sees is Lexa. Lexa's facial features already look enraged before she even walked through the door, but the green eyed girl's face quickly shifts to one of fear and nervousness. It's all going in slow motion. Lexa's eyes immediately flicker to Luna and back to Clarke with a million questions evident in her eyes. Not even a second later, Lexa's eyes flicker over to her right and back to Clarke, conveying what seems to be worry and...Clarke isn't quite sure. Clarke looks over and sees none other than Costia standing in her ex girlfriend's house.

The blue eyed singer releases a bitter, watery laugh. She is absolutely shaking.

"Clarke...let me explain.." Lexa puts her hands up in surrender.

Clarke shakes her head and mumbles to herself. 'This can't be happening.' She mumbles so low that she's not even sure anyone heard her.

Luna's eyes are wide and her mouth is agape. She has no idea what to do or say right now. Out of all the scenarios that Luna imagined, she never accounted for Costia to be here. She just knows all hell is going to break loose and any progress Clarke has made the past few days is going to immediately backslide.

Everything happens too fast that nobody really has a second to gather herself. Showing the true coward she is, Costia is slowly backing up with fear evident in her eyes. She just got a nose job in the past few months and she really doesn't feel like getting punched in the face by Clarke Griffin today.

Instead of violence or screaming or crying though, Clarke takes a deep breath and closes her eyes. She can hear Lexa rambling at a million miles a minute but she genuinely cannot hear a word she's saying. All Clarke can hear is the blood pumping in her eyes and all she can see is the cerulean vase that she made Lexa for their 2nd anniversary nestled between Lexa's books on the shelf right behind where her ex girlfriend is standing. She remembers that day as clear as ever. Oh how far they've come since then...and that's not necessarily a good thing either.

Clarke just turns on her heels and walks out the door, her knuckles turning white for how tightly she's clenching her first.

"Clarke! Clarke, please! She just showed up here. Nothing is going on!" Lexa runs out the door after her. She's not sure what to say. She knows that any chance of being in Clarke's life now, even as a friend, is over. All because Costia decided to show up to her door and rub it in their face that they have to do a stupid fucking sequel together. She feels her heartbreaking. She saw the pure sorrow on Clarke's face once she realized Costia was in her house. God, the things she must assume. Lexa desperately needs to set the record straight.

Clarke is crying at this point and curses herself for showing her emotions like this when that bitch Costia is around. Luna is right behind her, her arms protectively shielding her and preventing her from turning back and doing or saying something she shouldn't.

"Hey princess, why don't you smile for the camera?!" Suddenly one of the paparazzi pops out of the van and another one from the bushes. They are surrounded in a matter of seconds with flashing lights invading every angle of their view. Clarke puts her hand out trying to block the cameras.

"Get the hell away from us." Luna firmly says. She's never been one to shy away from altercations with the paparazzi, but only the rude ones. Sometimes they can be so nice. And then others just don't respect boundaries or the fact that they have lives and a right to privacy. She can tell this crowd is definitely the type to do anything for a good picture with little regard to the people actually in the photos.

"Clarke, please.." Lexa whimpers and tries to grab Clarke's arm to pull her back over.

Luna turns around sharply. "You need to back off, Lexa." Luna spats out and Lexa's brows furrow.

"I'm sorry, what the hell do you have to do with any of this?" Lexa draws her words out carefully. She still doesn't understand what Luna is doing here. She still doesn't know what Clarke was coming to talk about, although she assumes now she might never know.

'What do I have to do with this?" Luna asks incredulously. "I saw the mess that Clarke was after what you and that one over there did." Luna tilts her head angrily toward Costia. "And to think, you have the audacity to tell Clarke you want to be there for her or whatever other bullshit you spew out. Meanwhile, you're still screwing this one? AND she's giving out interviews about how great you are in bed? Come on, Lexa, give this whole martyr act a break."

Lexa is starting to get real pissed now and it doesn't help that this is happening literally in front of a million cameras snapping photo after photo and steadily recording the entire scene. She looks over at Clarke and the girl is quietly sniffling, holding onto Luna's arm. She glances briefly over at Costia who of course followed them outside and is eating up all of this attention.

"First of all, I am not sleeping with Costia!! I never would do that to Clarke.." Lexa has more to say but Luna cuts her off again.

"Yeah, except you already did do that to Clarke!" Luna bites out.

"All this attention will do wonders for Grounders 2." Costia cuts in and you can see her starry eyes, already envisioning the extra money and fame this will bring her. Even if she's notorious, Costia just wants to be known in Hollywood. Clarke looks at Lexa for the first time during all of this. The bright lights of the cameras behind them still going off during the entire conversation.

"What?" Clarke croaks out, her eyes look tired and puffy from all the crying. "You're...you're doing a second movie with her?" Clarke says softly and every syllable breaks Lexa's heart.

"Clarke.." Lexa says softly. "I didn't know either...that's why Costia barged into my house, with no invitation mind you." Lexa grits out and looks over at Costia angrily. Costia just shrugs her shoulders and continues posing for the cameras. "It's in my contract." Lexa mutters.

"I see." Clarke says quietly.

"Oh that's rich." Luna mutters sarcastically. Lexa's softened features toward Clarke immediately harden when she looks over at Luna.

"You know what Luna..you have been nothing but.." Lexa starts speaking angrily but Clarke immediately cuts her off.

"Enough!" Clarke barks out. "It doesn't matter what is going on between you two. It doesn't matter if you two star in 5 more movies." Clarke is speaking directly to Lexa's soul right now. She is staring deep in her eyes. Lexa is stunned into silence at the pure intensity of it. "We are over. We will always be over. Coming here was a massive mistake."

"Clarke, wait no please, listen to me..the other night.." Lexa starts to string words together desperately. Clarke disappeared from her life for months and now she's finally coming back to her and it's all going to shit.

"Ooo the other night huh? Well Lexa Woods, you didn't tell me you and the little princess over there were back together. Seems like information I should know about." Costia coos out, all for the sake of the cameras. "But then again, that little tidbit of information didn't matter the first time around. I doubt it'll matter this time either."

And that's when all hell breaks loose. Right in front of the cameras, Clarke charges at Costia. She breaks past Luna's arms and slaps Costia across the face hard. Costia retaliates by pulling Clarke's blonde ponytail. Both girls end up on the floor fighting with one another. It's absolute madness. Luna and Lexa look at each other for a second before both of them try to pull the two girls off of each other. The paparazzi is eating this up. The photos are flashing and the expletives are running freely from all of the girls' mouths.

"Jesus Lexa, get that bitch off of Clarke." Luna barks out.

Luna pulls Clarke away from the fight but not before Clarke spits on Costia. "Try me again bitch!" Clarke growls out.

Lexa reluctantly holds Costia back even though she doesn't want to. She just knows that if she doesn't the fighting will continue and all she wants right now is to hold Clarke close and never let go.

"Come on, Clarke. There are cameras everywhere. This isn't worth it." Luna whispers in her ear and it's intimate. Lexa shudders at watching the interaction. Even if it's just friendly, Luna and Clarke are so close. She didn't realize they had that connection.

Clarke breathes in and out, her chest moving fast with each breath in. She keeps mumbling to Luna, although Lexa can't hear exactly what she's saying. Meanwhile, Costia runs into Lexa's house for some reason. Probably because she doesn't want the paparazzi to get any of her bad angles. Lexa just wants the girl out of her house though. Costia running so freely into Lexa's house certainly isn't going to reinforce Lexa's words to Clarke that she hasn't been with Costia since that one night only.

"Clarke, I'm so sorry. She was just trying to get a rise out of you. I promise, it was only that night. I haven't even seen her.." Lexa speaks softly and apologetically until Clarke shakily puts her hand up and Lexa immediately stops speaking and looks to the ground like a wounded puppy.

"The other night was nothing." Clarke says blankly. Lexa knows Clarke better than anyone and can tell she's shutting down. "I'm sorry for all the pain I've caused you too, Lex. It's not all your fault, but this is done. I cannot be around you ever again. It hurts too much."

"Clarke.." Lexa croaks out.

"Goodbye Lexa." Clarke says with a sad smile on her face. And with that, Luna finally is able to break up the paparazzi band and get them safely to their car. Lexa stands there frozen, watching as Clarke's car drives away. The paparazzi is split between taking pictures of a heartbroken Lexa and taking pictures of Clarke and Luna driving away. Lexa doesn't want to believe that this is the last time she will see Clarke ever again. She just can't believe it. Clarke was right about one thing though: the two former lovers would not be around each other again for a very very long time.
