What the hell...

Practice was rather harsher than usual. Everyone was panting, exhausted, as they tried the new routine for their comeback. Everyone was pissed that even Yuqi and Shuhua– who usually has an energy enough to bounce off the walls– were awfully quiet.

“E-everyone take…take 5.” Minnie was finally thankful as Soyeon said those words. Her head felt heavy and her knees felt weaker than usual which contrasted to the fact that she's a gym rat. She sits on the floor and lies down on her back, feeling like she might die anytime. She breathes deeply. Suddenly a figure towered over her, offering her a drink. She smiles as Miyeon's face comes into view.

“Why do I feel like we have collective headaches today?” Minnie takes the drink as Miyeon sits down beside her.

“You do too?” Minnie gets up at a speed that made her headache worse. She winces and curses herself.

“Yeah.” Suddenly,The five members barely had time to scream before the world around them shattered like fragile glass. A deafening roar filled their ears as their bodies were wrenched in every direction at once—pulled, twisted, and stretched beyond recognition. Their skin burned like fire and froze like ice simultaneously, the sensation so overwhelming it blurred the lines between pain and existence itself.

Soyeon felt her very thoughts unravel, her memories scattering like torn pages caught in a storm. Miyeon’s vision fractured, showing her past, present, and future selves all at once—each one reaching out, pleading, vanishing. Minnie clawed at the air, but her fingers dissolved into streaks of light before reforming in an instant, her bones grinding against themselves as if trying to find their rightful shape. Yuqi let out a guttural cry as her body compressed into something smaller than a pinprick before exploding outward again, stretching across centuries. Shuhua felt her heartbeat stutter, stopping entirely for what felt like eternity before slamming back into rhythm with a force that nearly shattered her ribs.

Then—silence.

Their bodies crashed onto a cold, wet surface, lungs burning as they gasped for breath. The sky above them swirled unnaturally, a bleeding mix of colors that didn’t belong in any reality they had ever known. Their bodies still trembled, aching in ways they didn’t know were possible.
They were alive. But they weren’t where they were supposed to be.

Minnie breathed in slowly, opening her eyes as she was greeted by the harsh lights of the practice room. Only it was different. She hears a figure groan behind her and she shuffles despite herself to help Miyeon who was still on the ground, groaning.

“Shit, Miyeon-ah.” She helps the older as Miyeon pulls herself up and groans.

“M-Min…” They both stood and pats themselves clean.

“Hey, you okay?” Minnie asks, worried and Miyeon nodded.

“What happened?” Miyeon asks and they look around the room they were in just minutes ago which changed dramatically.

“I don't know. But, where are the others?” Minnie shrugs and starts exploring the room. Minnie furrows her eyebrows as she wonders.

"Is everyone okay?" Soyeon's voice was hoarse, strained. She forced herself upright, swaying. Her vision pulsed, as if her eyes couldn’t decide what was real.

Yuqi groaned, pressing a hand to her chest. "I think I left my stomach back in 2024."

Shuhua, usually the loudest, said nothing. She sat still, her wide eyes fixed on something or rather someone.

Holy shit.” she mutters and everyone follows her line of vision where another Minnie stood.

A more mature Minnie, who’s dressed in a more formal way. Yuqi’s jaw fell, Shuhua remained on the ground still processing whatever this is, Soyeon just stood not knowing how to react and Miyeon, well Miyeon’s enjoying the view. Minnie— from the past or present—looks at her future version with mouth agape. The woman in front of her— no, her— stood with the same features, only more mature and confident, she carried an intimidating aura that Minnie liked a little bit too much.
The future Minnie just smirked and took out her phone to snap a photo.

“Holy shit, we were so cute back then.” she chuckles and shakes her head.

“E-excuse me u-uh where are we?” Soyeon, being the leader, asks nervously. Sure, her and her Minnie unnie were close in their own timeline but standing near to this Minnie intimidated her.

“OH YEAH! I forgot! You’re in the future!” Minnie says excitedly.

“Wai-”

“Wait, wait, wait—” Minnie (the younger one) raised a hand, trying to process everything. “You’re me? And we’re in the future?”

Future Minnie gave her a knowing smile. “Mhm. That’s what I just said.”

Yuqi finally snapped out of her shock and pointed dramatically. “Okay, but why do you look like a rich CEO who owns five companies and doesn’t have time for nonsense?”
Future Minnie laughed, crossing her arms. “Because I am a rich CEO who owns five companies and doesn’t have time for nonsense.”

The group collectively lost their minds.

“WHAT?!”

“SHUT UP.”

“OH MY GOD, YOU MADE IT!” Miyeon clapped her hands together, absolutely delighted.

Minnie (the younger) looked both horrified and impressed. “Wait, I actually got my life together? This is a plot twist.”

Future Minnie smirked. “Trust me, I was just as surprised as you are.”

Shuhua, still sitting on the ground, finally found her voice. “Okay but… if this is the future, does that mean I’m rich too? Are we all famous? Do I have an award-winning movie?”
Future Minnie pursed her lips. “I could tell you… but spoilers.”

Shuhua groaned, flopping dramatically onto the floor. “I hate this.”

Soyeon, still trying to be the responsible one, cleared her throat. “Alright, let’s be logical. How did we even get here?”

Future Minnie tapped her chin. “Oh, right. That.” She purses her lips

“I totally don’t know.”

The group stared in disbelief.

Yuqi groans,”Even in this timeline I can’t believe Minnie is still an idiot.”

Future Minnie shrugged, completely unbothered.

Suddenly, future Minnie’s phone rang and smirks before picking it up.

Jagiyaaaa!! Did you miss me??” She answers in a disgustingly cute and high-pitched voice.Everyone froze and stared at her horrified, especially younger Minnie.“AHH what the hell? Make it stop!” Yuqi recoils and covers her ears before she started screaming as older Minnie continues to baby talk on the phone.“NO. WAY.” Shuhua screamed, still on the floor as if she’s witnessing a murder.Minnie felt her entire soul leave her body.Miyeon gasped so hard she nearly passed out. “WHO ARE YOU TALKING TO?!” Soyeon looked like she was witnessing the end of reality itself. “…I don’t know how to process this.”

Meanwhile, Future Minnie just giggled into the phone. “Ehe~~ you’re so sweet~~! I miss you tooo~~! Did you eat yet? Mmm? You better have! Okay okay I'm sorry...but I'll make it up to you tonight.”Minnie (the younger) grabbed her future self’s shoulders, shaking her like a ragdoll. “WHO. ARE. YOU. TALKING. TO?!” Desperate to know and almost in the verge of crying.

Future Minnie winked and whispered, “My wife.”

The group exploded.

Yuqi nearly collapsed. “YOUR WHAT?!”

Miyeon started clapping, absolutely thrilled. “YOU'RE GAY?.”

Shuhua was rocking back and forth, clutching her head. “I—I can’t—I was not READY for this.”

Minnie (the younger) was still gripping her future self, eyes wide in horror. “I HAVE A WIFE?!”

Future Minnie just patted her cheek. “Oh, sweetie, you have no idea how lucky we are.” she says, casting a small glance towards Miyeon who was thankfully distracted enough to notice. And with that, she turned back to her phone, still in full aegyo mode. “Okayyy, jagiya, I’ll see you soon~~! Love youuu~! Mwah mwah~!” She hung up and slid her phone into her pocket like nothing happened.Future Minnie clears her throat.

“Alright!” she said cheerfully. “Let’s go!”

The group stood there, absolutely wrecked.

Yuqi pointed at Future Minnie, then at Present Minnie, then back again. “I—I can’t believe this. I thought you were intimidating! I thought you were a rich, cool CEO! But you’re just—You’re still a loser bro!”Future Minnie smirked.

Younger Minnie groaned, hiding her face in her hands. “I can’t handle this.”

Future Minnie threw an arm around her. “Oh, don’t worry, you’re gonna LOVE your future.”

Younger Minnie was still processing whatever the fuck happened back there when future Minnie led them to her office. The building was quite futuristic itself, with glass panels and harsh white lights surrounding the company and what looks to be a hologram of different idols under the company. However, as they turn into a corner, they were greeted by a huge fucking shelf filled with awards, past albums, concept photos, and photos of them from debut up to current. Scratch that, It was not just a shelf, it was a fucking wall of achievements.

Future Minnie clapped her hands together. “Oh! I almost forgot—” She turned to a separate section of the wall, where an entire area was dedicated to (G)I-DLE.
There were framed group photos from sold-out world tours, platinum records, and award plaques—Daesangs, Billboard achievements, even a Grammy nomination. The biggest frame in the center was a picture of all five of them standing on stage, holding hands, tears in their eyes as they accepted a major award.

“You guys…” Miyeon’s voice cracked as she stepped closer, running her fingers over the frame.

“We made it.” Soyeon whispered, unable to hide the emotion in her voice.

Yuqi grabbed Future Minnie’s arm. “You mean to tell me we’re still together in the future? Even after all this?”

Future Minnie rolled her eyes playfully. “Of course we are. You really thought we’d break up?”

Shuhua, who had been bracing herself for the worst, suddenly looked like she might cry. “I mean… a lot of groups don’t last. And we always said we’d be together forever, but…” Future Minnie softened. “Well, guess what? We kept that promise.”

Miyeon smiled, eyes brimming with emotion. “We’re still standing together.”

“More than standing.” Future Minnie grinned, pointing to another frame where the group was posing at the entrance of (G)I-DLE’s own entertainment company.
Soyeon’s breath hitched. “No way. No. Freaking. Way.”

Future Minnie nodded. “Yep. We run our own company now. We’re still making music, still touring, and we mentor younger artists.” She smirked. “We basically became the idols we always wanted to see when we were rookies.”

Yuqi sat down on the floor. “I need a second. This is too much.”

Shuhua’s lip trembled. “Wait—so we never had to say goodbye?”

Future Minnie looked at them fondly. “Never.”

There was a beat of silence before Miyeon suddenly pulled everyone into a massive group hug.

Minnie (the younger) sniffled. “I’m not crying. You’re crying.”

Yuqi grumbled, wiping her eyes. “Shut up, I wasn’t ready for this.”

Soyeon chuckled, voice shaky. “I don’t even know what to say.”

Future Minnie just smiled, watching them fondly. “You don’t have to say anything. Just remember this—you guys have so much ahead of you. And we make it. Together.”
That was it. They were all crying now.

Shuhua wiped her nose aggressively. “I—ugh—I hate time travel. But also, I love it. But also, what the hell?”
Future Minnie just smiles.

“Well since little Minnie here already met her future version…Yuqi! You’re up next.” Yuqi’s ear perked up. “Huh?”

Before anyone could react, the door swung open with dramatic force.

“ALRIGHT, WHO SUMMONED ME?”

The room shook with the sheer energy of the voice. The time travelers jumped as a tall, confident figure strode in like she owned the entire world—because, apparently, she did.
Yuqi gasped. “NO. WAY.”

Standing before them was Future Yuqi—and she looked insane in the best way possible. Her hair was longer, dyed a striking shade of honey brown that made her aura even more powerful. She was dressed in the coolest, most effortlessly chic outfit—a designer suit with the blazer undone just enough to look rebellious. A Rolex gleamed on her wrist, and the way she carried herself? Pure CEO energy.

Younger Yuqi’s mouth fell open. “Oh my god. I’m so hot.”

Future Yuqi smirked. “Tell me something I don’t know.”

Miyeon practically swooned. “OH MY GOD, YUQI, YOU GREW UP SO WELL.”

Shuhua was staring at Future Yuqi like she had just witnessed a divine being descend from the heavens. “You’re like—like a whole drama lead.”

Soyeon, still in shock, pointed at her. “Wait, why do you look like you’re about to fire someone?”

Future Yuqi flipped her hair dramatically. “Because I am about to fire someone.” She checked her watch and smirked. “I literally just walked out of a board meeting.”
Yuqi (the younger one) staggered back. “I HAVE BOARD MEETINGS?!”

“Oh, sweetie,” Future Yuqi said, patting her younger self on the head, “you’re running the meetings.”

The time travelers lost it.

Minnie clutched her chest. “You’re telling me Yuqi, the most unserious person I know, is a serious businesswoman in the future?”

Future Yuqi laughed. “Please. I’m still unserious, I just make stupid jokes while signing million-dollar deals now.”

Younger Yuqi blinked. “Wait—so I’m rich?”

Future Yuqi shot her finger guns. “Disgustingly rich.”

Yuqi fell to her knees. “This is the best day of my life.”

Future Minnie sighed playfully. “Can we please move on from the fact that you’re rich? There are more important things to talk about.”

Future Yuqi dramatically threw an arm around her younger self. “Exactly! Like how I am now one of the biggest variety show stars, a producer, and—” she wiggled her eyebrows—“an international heartthrob.”

Yuqi (the younger one) gasped. “WAIT. DOES THAT MEAN—”Future Yuqi smirked. “Oh yeah, babe. The ladies love me.”

Future Minnie snorts. "Except her ex-wife." Shuhua fell to the ground, clutching her chest. “HAHAHHAH YUQI YOU'RE A DIVORCEE?”

Yuqi punches her shoulder. Miyeon smirks. “Didn't knew you were the type to settle.”

Soyeon shook her head in disbelief. “This timeline is actually insane.”

Yuqi, still recovering, suddenly grabbed Future Yuqi by the shoulders. “WAIT. MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION.”

Future Yuqi raised an eyebrow. “Shoot.”

Yuqi took a deep breath. “Did I atleast marry a hot one?”

Future Yuqi grinned. “Oh, honey.”

Yuqi screamed.
