Me and You
Usually when it’s Sabrina’s turn to be the designated driver she just crashes at Chloes and vice versa. It’s a thing they’ve been doing since college but tonight Sabrina just wasn’t feeling it. She had too much on her mind and she could tell Chloe wasn’t really feeling it either. So tonight she drove to Chloe’s house per usual but when Chloe gets out of the car and looks over at her to see if she’s going to come, Sabrina just waves her off. Chloe seemed too out of it to really care. She just scrunched her nose, shrugged her shoulders and stumbled into her flat.
Sabrina decided to take the long way home after dropping Chloe off, using the drive to reflect on earlier events that night. She already knew about Chloe’s crush obviously, they’re best friends. Besides Chloe wasn’t really known for hiding her feelings very well. Sabrina, being Chloe’s best friend and knowing she was probably going through it at the party ya know seeing the girl she’s been in love with for over a decade engaged to someone else, felt that she probably should of been there for her a bit more earlier. But to be fair she was going through her own stuff too. Meeting up with classmates you hadn’t seen in years brings back a lot, memories, feelings, things that should have been locked up and shoved down a long time ago. It was no secret that she used to have a crush on Chloe; pretty much everyone knew since she wasn’t exactly the most subtle teenager. Sabrina’s crush was probably the reason why they became friends in the first place. She held two qualities that Chloe highly valued in a person. First of all she reaaaally liked Chloe, very sexy, and second of she was extremely willing to do things for her, even sexier. Chloe wanted a lackey and Sabrina was smitten. Not the healthiest start to a relationship but over time they strengthened and mended their friendship creating the strong bond they have currently. And now it’s all gonna turn to shit because of Nathaniel fucking Kurtzburg sticking his nose in places it didn’t belong.
You see their relationship truly began to flourish after Sabrina stopped treating Chloe like she was some type of untouchable god and stopped holding her on an impossibly high pedestal. Once Sabrina stopped idolizing every little thing Chloe did and started to see her as a regular human being, accepting her good points as well as her flaws, they were able to be vulnerable with one another and bond. It was around this time that Sabrina’s feelings began to simmer down. She became less interested in getting in Chloe’s pants and more interested in investing in their platonic relationship. Chloe is one of the best types of friends to have, once she’s attached to you she’s so attentive, caring and loyal you’ll wonder how you ever viewed her in any other way. You’ll wonder that until you see her interact with someone she doesn’t like and then you get a cold reminder of reality. Chloe simmered down after high school feeling mostly indifferent towards the majority of people she interacted with. There were a few people she liked a bit more than the rest and then there were the ones she straight up could not stand. Chloe is not someone you wanted to be out of good grace with, you were lucky if she liked you. It’s an honor to be her friend but she’ll never make you feel that way. She’ll act like she’s the luckiest person in the world because she gets to be your priority. She’ll make you feel like you’re the most important, special person in the world. Sabrina loves the way Chloe makes her feel.
Eventually she did get into Chloe’s pants but neither of them really pushed for it. It kind of just happened and they just went with it. It started one night when they were both buzzed lazing around their dorm room. Nobody remembers who started it but neither of them fought it. The next morning they didn’t really feel the need to acknowledge what they had done the night before. They just fucked around whenever they felt like and didn’t think about it too much. They were comfortable with one another. Both Chloe and Sabrina dated several people throughout their time together. None of the relationships lasted very long. Chloe, though she tried to suppress it, was still caught up on Marinette and well in Sabrina’s case, no one could catch or keep her attention. Noone had that spark, that brightness, that glow that could make feel the same intense feelings she felt for Chloe back in the day. She still tried though. But in the end they always came back to each other. Not in a sad way, it’s just what they’re comfortable with. They had no reason to think about their feelings and what their relationship was. They’re just comfortable with each other. They are just comfortable. And then Nathaniel had to go and fuck things up, dig up old shit that should have been left in the gutter to rot.
Sabrina smoothly pulls into her parking spot and shifts her car into park. She sighed as she leaned back on her head rest, lightly tapping her steering wheel out of frustration. ‘Chloe never let her feelings for Marinette affect our relationship. Even with all the shit going on currently.’ She sighed again shifting herself forward, now careful resting her head on her steering wheel making sure to not honk her horn accidentally. It was now well past 1 am and her neighbors would not be happy. ‘What even is our relationship??? Fuuuuuuuck… I need to get my shit together.’ With her new found resolve Sabrina dragged herself out of her car and into her apartment. As she lazily wiped off her makeup and got ready for bed she came to a realization. ‘Oh my god… I spent all that time thinking about Chloe and feeling nostalgic, I forgot about my real problem. What am I gonna do about that little bitch boy?’ Only then does she remember the promise she made earlier that night to said bitch boy. She doesn’t really care to keep him happy but not keeping her word doesn’t sit well with her. So she tiredly stumbles over to where her phone is charging on the floor and sends a single text.
“fuck u ;)”
She tosses her phone back on to the ground not waiting for his response. Because honestly fuck him. He didn’t deserve her stress. So with the feelings of pettiness and not giving a fuck Sabrina sleeps well.
