Interrogating Mad Hatter:
Percy whispers to Diana with a sickly-sweet smile and asks if she could interrogate why Mad Hatter would willingly work with mythological giants.
Diana just sighs, “Sure, have fun”
Percy then pulled a chair out of nowhere, and then sat in front of Mad Hatter confidently. She crossed her legs like she had no time to deal with this. Within her peripheral vision, she could see that the demigods were lined up at a cart, handing out popcorn. She knew this was due to her legendary status, which many of the crowd deemed frightful.
She faced Mad Hatter on and asked one simple question. “Did these mythological beings tell you who I am”
Mad Hatter with a tint of fear in his voice explains that he does.
“Why do you get the pleasure of interrogating me?”
“Oh, you should know this. If you knew what I could”
She then hears Avery cheering, “Go on darling, get him”
“Haha, I have walked through the Pit and faced him and blinked second. I wonder what I could do to you now?” Percy ponders
“I was working with Wisdom’s Bane, so that he could help find all those who wouldn’t be led to safety.”
Percy growls out, “You do my flaw is loyalty right. Every child who comes through camp, I treat as my own. Now I was suggesting Arkham, but I’ve changed my mind. You can go to Supermax.”
All of a sudden, out of nowhere, Diana cuffs Mad Hatter and puts him on the nearest plane to take to prison.
From the crowd’s POV
As soon as the interrogation started, The Stoll brothers had already acquired a popcorn cart. They signalled to everyone to get theirs and sit down and enjoy the show.
Travis then conspiratorially whispered to Avery, “How’s the show?”
Avery then smirks, “This is fun. She can do better. It’s just getting good”
Nico sneaks up on Poseidon and points out that Percy has an apple in her hand, and also does the same to Nemesis.
Nemesis agrees with Poseidon, “They’re good kids, they both have our blessing. But this is an interesting interrogation technique.”
Poseidon smirks, “She has got my spirit, and doesn’t even need my help”
All demigods hear that Mad Hatter threatened children and then there were resounding cries of:
“Oh dear, he fucked up royally” Avery points out
Nico then says, “She is a mother hen after all”
Katie laughs and goes, “All kids adore her”
Poseidon interrupts and whispers to Avery, “You better get down there after the interview. Your mom agrees.”
Avery stares in shock, whilst everyone else knew Percy’s plan.
