shrimpo x teagan
“SHRIMPO?” The girls yelled, staring at Teagan with wide eyes.
“YOU’RE GOING ON A DATE WITH SHRIMPO?!”
She nodded, tilting her head as if confused.
“Why not? He’s so cute, and so sweet.”
“He tells you that he hates you everyday??” Poppy speaks up, walking behind Teagan.
“Tea, we love you, but you CANNOT go on a date with Shrimpo. Out of ALL people. Go on a date with, like, Astro!” She frowned, crossing her arms.
“But, he is the one who asked me. It would be rude to cancel at the last minute.”

Shrimpo was waiting in his room for whoever Finn and Goob were gathering. He fidgeted nervously, gripping the bottom of his dress/shirt. After an hour or so, Finn and Goob returned with nobody. Shrimpos eyes widened, clearly frustrated.
“YOU GUYS TOOK FOREVER TO COME BACK WITH NOBODY?!” He shouted. The pair nodded, looking ashamed.
“Nobody wanted to help! It’s because you’re so mean!” Goob started, pouting slightly. “Maybe if you were nice every once in a while, people would want to help!”
“I WON’T BE NICE! I HATE BEING NICE!” Shrimpo shouted back. Finn stayed quiet, looking around the man's room for some nice clothes. Goob ignored Shrimpo, now helping Finn.
“What are you guys doing?” Shrimpo questioned, fidgeting with his hands again.
“Looking for a nice outfit! Oh, Finn, go ask what Teagan is going to be wearing!”
“Okay!”

After a bit, Shrimpo wasn’t even ready. He was sitting on his bed in his pajamas. His eyes were red and puffy as if he had been crying.
“Hi girls! Teagan is goin’ on a date with our shrimp-man, yeah? What’s she wearing?” Finn questioned, smiling wide at them.
“Ew, as if! Shrimpo isn’t on her level, tell him that she cancelled the date! We’re having a girls night!” Poppy answered, slamming the door in Finn's face. Before it closed though, he pushed it open.
“SHE CANCELLED? WHY WOULD SHE CANCEL?”
“Because he’s so ugly! And has a horrible temper!” As she properly slammed the door shut, Finn frowned, and walked off.
“C’mon Shrimpo.. it isn’t the worst thing in the world.” Finn spoke, looking at the smaller sadly.
“SHUT UP. I HATE YOU.”
A bit of sulking later, and there was a knock on the door. Finn and Goob had left a while ago, and Shrimpo didn’t want to get out of his blanket cocoon.
“GO AWAY.” He shouted, sniffling as he shoved some chips into his mouth.
“Shrimpo? Dear?” The voice from the other side of the door spoke. He rapidly sat up, rushing towards the door.
“Teagan?” He mumbled, clearly in shock.
“Mhm. Can you open the door, please?” She spoke warmly, though a bit of regret was clear in her tone.
“..NO” He shouted, but he still opened. Teagan walked in, frowning as she noticed his puffy eyes.
“Love? Are you okay?”
“WHAT DO YOU THINK?” Teagan flinched, and Shrimpo quickly shut up. “You canceled - sniff - last minute and said I was ugly.” He muttered, turning away from her. He rushed over towards his bed, with Teagan following close behind.
“Honey, please, listen-“ She started, grabbing his arm. He stopped and slowly turned, yet pulled his arm away. She sighed.
“Nobody helped me prepare for this date. They stopped me, actually. Cosmo and Sprout refused to make us a little meal like I asked, the girls wouldn’t let me leave the mini-sleepover we had. Poppy came in and said you canceled.” She cupped his cheek, speaking softly. He pouted yet leaned into her touch.
“What are we going to do then. It’s ruined, we might as well cancel properly.” He grumbled, looking at the ground.
“Hm.. Well, we could have a movie night? I can go make popcorn?”
He blinks, as if processing what she said, before nodding.
“Yeah. I-I’d.. like that.”
Maybe it wasn’t so horrible after all.
