[mark/jinyoung] be careful what you wish for
“This is a terrible idea,” Mark mutters, ignored for what’s probably the hundredth time tonight.
“Nonsense, this is a brilliant idea,” Jackson counters, also for the hundredth time tonight. He finishes the pentagram on the floor, careful not to smudge the ash too much. They’ll both want their security deposit back eventually.
Mark gives the spellbook yet another skeptical look. Neither his nor Jackson’s powers are advanced enough to even look at this book, let alone perform spells from it. But Jackson had been so excited and Mark has always been easy to sway.
So here they are now, attempting to summon a demon.
Why? Who the hell knows. It’s a brilliant idea, apparently.
Mark is the one to stumble through the latin of the spell because he’s always been better at it, even if Jackson is better at pretty much everything else. The candles at the edge of the pentagram flicker as soon as says the last word but nothing really happens. Mark is ready to deep the adventure a failure when the air crackles around them, the candles flickering so fast one of them goes out entirely. There’s a puff of smoke so thick Mark has to rub it out of his burning eyes.
It clears as fast as it comes, not without leaving something behind. Inside of the pentagram, there is a man.
A gloriously naked, devastatingly hot - demon? Too late, Mark notices the fiery red in his eyes, his flickering ears that are way too pointy to be normal.
“Holy shit,” Jackson mumbles, eyes trained on the demon as well.
The demon floats in the air as if sat in an invisible chair, then crosses his bare legs. “I heard you, I’m here. What do you want?”
*
Funnily enough, neither of them considered the possibility of the summoning to actually work. The demon lasted about half a second of Mark attempting to pronounce his real name before he found himself a human one - Jinyoung. Mark finds it quite fitting.
So now, Mark and Jackson are both sitting on the floor around the pentagram, desperately trying not to look at Jinyoung’s naked form. It looks like Mark is finding the task a little harder than Jackson.
“Let me get this straight,” Jinyoung says, his scarlet eyes boring into Mark. “You summoned me without a purpose and with no idea what to do after you do summon me?”
“We didn’t think it would work!” Jackson argues feebly. He promptly shuts up when Jinyoung’s eyes turn to him.
“Well,” he shrugs eventually. “It looks like neither of you are strong enough to send me back. Not against my will, anyway.”
“Why would you want to stay here?” Mark can’t help but ask. During the whole ordeal, Jinyoung had looked less than impressed with the situation. Mark can’t fathom why would he want to stay, willingly.
“Oh, aren’t you adorable,” Jinyoung grins, all teeth. Mark shudders. “You haven’t figured out what kind of demon you’ve summoned yet, have you?”
What-
Oh.
Oh, Mark is fucked. Quite literally.
