Day 0
Anya Leerman and Lincoln Harred, possible love interest?
Lincoln scoffed and turned on the balls of his feet, shoving the newspaper in his hand into Anya’s free side, she scanned over the paper that included a picture of her and Lincoln walking together holding shopping.
She laughed “We really can't do anything can we?” Lincoln’s determined face gave her a dreadful feeling, squinting at him as she sipped the coffee in her free hand.
Lincoln reached his hand into his pocket for his phone, unlocking it with his fingerprint and quickly pressing his fingers against the screen “How dare they not even consider I have a beautiful girlfriend.” He scoffed again and Anya rolled her eyes, watching him as he hurried off into his bedroom where Anya knew Octavia was still sleeping.
Lincoln leant his knees on the covers, taking a picture of the napping girl, whose face was turned away, anyone would say she looked adorable, cute, hot, and obviously Lincoln would say all of the above.
He leant down and pressed a soft kiss to her cheek, right as Anya walked past the door to put her coffee cup down in the kitchen, the sickly sweet sight made her face resemble that of an insulted teenager,
“Can I post this?” his voice showed he was obviously smiling, Octavia sleepily turned her head to face the burly man, who in her eyes looked like a cute mouse, and her face broke out in a slow smile, leaning up to kiss him and nodding.
“I will fine you for each kiss,” Anya spoke from the doorway, now with her own phone in hand.
Lincoln
@LincolnHarred
sorry anya im taken ;)
And the picture of Octavia, her face not viewable.
It was getting likes and reposts by the millisecond,
Lincoln walked out the room, his arm behind him holding Octavia’s hand as she stumbled out, only wearing a massive Tee that obviously belonged to Lincoln, he was also looking at his phone, smirking, but Anya saw something in there, her weary thoughts were confirmed when he quickly glanced at her.
She furrowed her brow and glanced down in search for what he could possibly be smirking over…
The comments.
Many of them were asking about who was in Anya’s bed, and nothing came to mind, she pondered it for a moment before a look of realisation dawned on her face. Shit.
She sprinted towards Lincoln, who had smartly gotten to the table in time, using it as a block from her, his eyes glancing to her and his phone and back again, he was doing something, something she did not want.
Her socks slid across the floor helplessly as she tried to run around the table, but he was just as quick in staying opposite to her. Octavia was laughing between yawns as she sat on the sofa looking over the back of it at the two.
Lincoln stopped, locking his phone and announcing a quick “HA!”.
It was over. Her life was over. She looked down at her phone as it sat gripped tightly in her right hand. She reloaded Lincoln’s page.
Lincoln had replied to the first comment,
Max Lou
@maxy_boy
Who has Anya got in her bed ???
Lincoln
@LincolnHarred
@maxy_boy she has her fair share.
And there it was, the picture she loathed. A picture of her on boxing day morning, with a stupid party hat on from the night before and her, cuddled up, in bed. With? With a fucking book. It was ridiculous and she was mad it even existed. Damn Lincoln. Curse him.
It was blowing up, like after like, she could see a trend of #AnyaxBooks. She wouldn’t live this down.
“You’ll be the death of me.” she aimed at Lincoln, “as I will for you...” She added it in menacingly, Lincoln running over to the sofa to hide with Octavia before she put her phone on charge and started to walk out towards the door.
“I’m going for a spin,” she shouted from their front door, hearing Lincoln and Octavia’s giggling pause for a moment,
“Bye Anya!” they added in together and the giggling started louder than before, she scowled and closed the door, happy to be away from the caramel sweet love they radiate.
Caramel gets a little sickly.
Love was both overrated and underrated, love like Lincoln has with Octavia is underrated, but people like Anya? Overrated. Love is for friends and family, she doesn’t have time for anyone else.
Anya was previously a famous singer and dancer, with Lincoln being also a dancer and background singer in her old group, which consisted of obviously her, Lincoln, the guitarist Wells Jaha, bassist John Murphy and the tech guy Monty. They had all continued to do well in their careers,
Anya had retired from singing, she would make odd appearances in songs as a feature, and she would often be in music videos, dancing.
But primarily? Now it was just the odd magazine and modelling.
Lincoln also still did dancing in music videos and was one of the managers and trainers at a dance studio, Wells retired completely to follow in his studies to be a doctor, Murphy was now a massively respected singer of his own, in a new band as the lead singer, and Monty was living comfortably from what he’s said, as he is modest and quiet, so, she hasn’t heard much.
She stopped off at the shop, not the same one she usually goes, she walks in and gets some basic necessities, anything she thought they might be low on or might need extra of.
Heading back out after maybe an hour, she puts the bags on the back of her Lamborghini, sighing as she hears a squeal off in the distance, rushing to her front seat and turning the engine on, it rumbles, she brushes her hand through her hair and tries again, it fails once more, the figures of 3 teen girls rushing through parked cars draw closer.
Oh shit. She tries again and relief washes through her as she speeds off, sighing once more and setting the GPS to the nearest Repair shop. Happy when it was only 5 minutes away.
She pulls up into what looks like a house with an open, wide garage, stepping out her car, a man leaned his body out a door that leads into the house part, he stepped further out and smiled, walking towards her, his dark, leather-like clothing and fur gave him an indescribable aura, like mysterious, a real lady-killer.
He stuck his hand out, “Roan King,” Anya took his hand firmly, taking note that he seems to be giving her a one over, but it didn’t seem sexual, just curious.
“Anya.”
He glanced over at her car and stumbled over himself, now looking far more curious, but his eyes didn’t leave the car. He suddenly turned, “I’M TAKING THIS CLIENT.” He yelled into the what seemed to be an empty garage, but sudden movement caught Anya’s eyes, someone slid out from under a truck, taking care with standing up, and rapidly limping towards Roan.
“You haven’t even clocked on, it’s mine.” How professional Anya thought “I’m Raven.” the girl lifted her arm, the mysterious man sighing and walking backwards,
“Why did I ever hire you, Reyes.”
Anya lifted her hand to shake the girl’s but paused when she saw the grubby gloves she wore, the girl caught on quick, whipping the one off and smiling brightly at her.
Neither of the two of them know who I am, from what it seems…
“I’m Anya.”
“So, what’s the problem with this baby?” Raven limped around the Lamborghini, opening the front straight away.
“It wasn’t starting.” Anya simply stated. Raven nods and starts fiddling, pulling out a tool from her pocket, a second later a piece of the car was in her hands, she was pushing a part of it down,
“Oh, this is simple.” The girl walked off into the garage, walking back out with a similar piece, or the same one? Anya wasn’t sure, but this time, when she pushed the part down, it made a squeaking noise, she smiled and fiddled, putting the part in.
“It should be perfectly fine.” Anya took that moment to really look at the girl, who was currently staring at the cars insides, hands on her hips.
She was managing to pull off some crazy clothing, a tight white long sleeved shirt with slightly looser overalls. Grub on the overalls that were tucked into some worker boots, her eyes trailing back up to the girl's face, her hair up, and her face smudged oil on a small part of an otherwise perfect cheek.
The girl turned to her “You gonna’ test it?” she winked, catching Anya a little off guard.
But Anya was never caught off guard. So she sat in her car, the engine revved to life and she smirked at the girl, getting out her purse,
“That’s a solid 60 dollars,” Raven said as she took a ten and fifty from Anya’s hand,
“Thanks.” Anya remained stoic, much to Ravens disappointment.
“Have a nice day, Anya” Raven waved her off as she reversed out the garage.
She opened the door and yawned, feeling a little tired from her drive,
“Hey Anya?” she heard Lincoln from his room,
“Yes?” She plopped down on the couch, happy to get a lie-down,
“Octavia’s friends are going on a road trip, Monty is actually part of their friend group, remember Monty?” Anya sighed into her pillow,
“Yes of course,” She was going to be invited,
“Wanna’ go?” She was invited.
…She wasn’t sure, “Where, when and how?” she asked, not giving too much hope to him, as he stepped out the room, looking at her,
“Next week, they are just going to drive around for, how many days?” He asked
“4 Only!” Octavia shouted from somewhere in Lincoln’s room, probably getting dressed,
“they are going in a motor home, one of her friend’s. O and I are going in my car, but you have a space in the motor home, 3 beds, two people per bed.” He seems set on making her go. He had noticed she had gone back into her little shell lately,
“I don’t have much of a choice, do I?”
“Not really.” He smiled widely,
“Sure.”
“Have you finished packing?” Lincoln shouted from the other side of their apartment, “O will be here soon to pick us up.”
“Yeah I finished, just putting some toiletries in a bag,” and surely enough Octavia showed up after 10 minutes, ringing their bell, Lincoln was wearing black slimline joggers, and a tee with the word “Taken” on, he had received loads of gifts from fans over the tweet of Octavia.
Anya herself was wearing black leggings and a cute black and white tee that draped a little bit, making it more comfortable. And her favourite sneakers, “Hey Octavia,” Anya walked out with her ocean blue duffel bag slung over her shoulder,
“Hey Anya, just put that in the back, do you need help carrying anything else down?” Octavia inquired, “Lincoln has two bags, you can help him with that,” Anya smiled a small smile for the girl, they hadn’t spent much alone time, but she knows anyone that good for Lincoln is a good person.
She sat in the back, watching the other two exit the apartment laughing, bags in hand, Lincolns resting on his back, she smiled at how star-struck he looked just by being with Octavia, and she looked the same.
They opened their respective doors, the car lowered a little when Lincoln sat in and everyone laughed, well, Anya chuckled.
Lincoln and Octavia both gushed about something or other as Anya unzipped the top of her duffel to retrieve her strategically placed phone, as it sat on the top.
She tuned into their conversation just in time, “-I can’t wait for you two to meet my friends! And you haven’t seen Monty in a while, huh?
Anya shook her head, Lincoln answering for the both of them “No, we haven’t, I still can’t believe he’s in your friend group!”
Octavia laughed and cheekily asked “How do you think I got your number?” winking at him “That reminds me, though.” They both looked at her, “There is a plan?”
“What?” Anya asks, feeling too old to take part in childish games,
“We’re setting two of them up, Lexa and Clarke.” she rolled her eyes so dramatically even Anya could see she’d done it, “They seriously have been in love for like two years now... It's getting tiring.”
Lincoln stroked his stubbly chin in faux thought, he was in, “I’m in.”
Octavia smiled at him in the way that makes Anya’s face look like she’s been offered a spoon of dog food, “You aren’t as in on it as Anya needs to be.” Oh no.
“What?” Anya repeats,
“You see, my friend who owns the motor home actually has enough room for one more small mattress on the floor, easily, in fact. And this car could fit another person in it in reality, but they have to force Clarke and Lexa into the same bed.” Anya sighed at the revelation, what a trivial waste of space.
“Sure, I’ll do it.” She thought for a moment, “But who am I with?”
“Don't worry, she’s cute!” Octavia laughed. She. She is good.
Anya looked down at her phone and unlocked it, quickly going to Monty’s Insta, he had a small following of maybe 5k, she was a little shocked to see his once long, shoulder length hair now relatively short, similar to a bowl cut. His friend group was all attractive too, enough for most of them to be models, she had also noticed Octavia making a few appearances, but mostly just a cute-ish boy that seemed to be a Youtuber, she clicked on his name ‘Jasper_the_ghost’ and he had around 18k followers, a small amount, obviously Monty had kept his account to people he had personally met.
She smiled a small smile, reminding herself of his good deeds, and his taste in music, a drastic difference from the annoying poppy songs they made, quick money makers. His taste was soft and full of emotion, usually that of love, or a failed love.
He must be a romantic,
“We’re here,” Octavia gestured Lincoln to pull over, right behind a Motorhome, “We aren't late, don't worry.” it looked to be in pretty good condition. Anya turned off her phone, seeing people outside the vehicle.
They each stepped out; Anya threw her duffel over her shoulder once again, remembering how heavy it was.
Monty looked over at her, and smiled warmly and even, surprisingly; ran at her for a massive hug she couldn’t stop herself from reciprocating, Lincoln scooped them both up abruptly so he could join, Anya strained as Monty's laughter burst into her ear.
“Monty!” Lincoln celebrated, “It's been long enough!” the three of them laughed as Lincoln set them down, Octavia seemed to find this all too amusing.
“Okay, EVERYONE!” and everyone did turn to look at the small yet amazingly loud girl “This is Lincoln, my boyfriend” They shared a timid smile, “And this is my friend” Friend? “Anya.”
“Hi,” Anya offered, taking note of the faces she recognised.
A ragged familiar boy confidently slunk over to her “Hello.” he said in what she assumed was meant to be an attractive voice,
“Jasper leave her alone.” Monty laughed
Ah, so Jasper is the best friend. “Nice to meet you,” she offered, noticing the two girls with another boy; who were walking towards her.
“Bellamy, Octavia’s brother. these,” he gestured to each respective girl “lovely ladies are Clarke and Lexa.” Ahh she sees, these are the two.
She offers a small smile and nods, but then realises that this means this Bellamy guy would be bunking with her, didn’t Octavia say she?
At that very moment, a familiar girl opens the door to the Motorhome, “Anya!” she smiled widely “Nice to see your pretty face again,” she added a quiet but noticeable: “not as pretty as me obviously but…!” and laughed heartily
Anya is going to off herself, she looks for a nearby cliff…
Bellamy looks like something just lit a fire in his eyes and they all turn to see Octavia and Lincoln kissing, and suddenly Bellamy is pulling Lincoln off with him somewhere, no one is worried because Lincoln could easily defend himself from the shorter boy.
“Ooh, beef,” Raven adds with a smirk, and suddenly she and Jasper are chanting like there's no tomorrow. 4 days with this? “Beef! Beef! Beef!”
Anya turns to take in the people, and surely enough Lexa is looking at Clarke with enough sexual tension that she might as well be stripping her, as Clarke laughs at the two chanting while they push Octavia teasingly. And Monty? He stands doing the exact same thing as her, why hadn’t she kept in touch with him again?
“Uh, Obviously I get to pick first, this is my vehicle.”
Raven looked around the coach sized motor home, it was undeniably large and there were two seats for drivers, and a ladder behind the chair on the left of the drivers window, leading up to the largest and most private bed above the drivers seats, behind the chair on the right (the drivers seat) was where the entrance was, and where Raven was standing.
To the right of Raven there was three counters, one with a sink, the other two were cupboards, one had a mini fridge on top, sat next to all the plug outlets, and at the back of the motor home there was another large bed next to a small table, and cupboards on the wall above the bed, due to the fact there was no toilet there was quite a lot of space.
Jasper and Monty had insisted they slept on the roof of the motor home, even though they could easily fit in the bed with Raven and Anya, they had brought a fold out ladder to store in the small luggage area.
“Lexa and Clarke,” Raven shouted out “You two can have the big bed. I want the cupboards.” It was a good excuse and Raven was smug from thinking it up on the spot, she heard a snort from next to her and turned to see Anya,
“Pff.” Anya walked past Raven to start packing her things away in one cupboard, seeing there were four, two on either side of the walls near the bed, assuming that two would be for Monty and Jasper.
Raven paced over to Anya “You in on it I’m guessing?” she nodded briefly; then went back to packing her things away.
Anya rolled her head back, sat on her side of the bed, more precisely, what she’d decided would be her side, the right side and Monty and Jasper sat on the left side, chatting.
The fresh air in the vehicle once it started moving was very surprising, but not as much so when she realised she didn’t actually mind being sat in the motorhome with Jasper, Monty and Raven.
The journey was under way and she had already learnt a satisfactory amount of information on each of them to call them her friends.
“An apple walks into a bar, and orders a drink,” Jasper pauses to look at Monty and Anya “And the bartender says ‘We don’t serve food here’” and suddenly the motor home was filled with obnoxious laughter, the kind of laughter that catches everyone out and makes them laugh with them, and Monty did, Anya didn’t find it all that funny but even she chuckled along with their crazy dynamic, Jasper slapped his hand on Monty’s shoulder, laughing hysterically, arching over himself, while his other hand cupped his stomach.
“Ah…I’m too funny.”
Anya watched the two in silence and concurred that Monty’s subtle ways and passive nature worked well with Jaspers loud and assertive one.
Anya was jolted out of her thought process when Jasper stood abruptly off the bed, “Oh my God.”
“Oh no.” Monty murmured as his face fell into his hands, he knew what was coming.
Jasper ran suddenly towards the front where Raven was driving and Clarke and Lexa laid facing each other speaking in hushed whispers that stopped once Jasper ran under them, sitting with Raven, Ravens face lit up and she seemed to realise what he was there for, he bounced in his seat; his hair bobbing with him.
Monty moved himself from the bed and walked over behind the two of them with Anya in arrears, Clarke and Lexa were no longer looking at each other, Anya could see from their faces they knew what was going to happen, and suddenly a sonorous sound filled the vehicle.
A song?
Monty groaned “Do we have to listen to the Shrek soundtrack again?”
Oh no. Anya pushed her hair back, sighing in the realisation that maybe she did mind being in a motor home with Jasper and Raven.
Raven laughed “Don’t worry,” she waved him off, turning to look at him “It's not the Shrek soundtrack.”
“What!?” Jasper, Clarke and Lexa said in unison,
Raven looked back at the road, silent for a moment, music started to rumble louder in the vehicle.
“IT’S SHREK TWO” her laugh morphed into an evil one, loud and suddenly Jasper joined in and Monty couldn’t help himself from giggling with Clarke, who, Anya noticed was staring at Lexa. Yeah, she could see how this would get annoying.
“What’s the problem baby?” Lexa and Clarke sang to each other, “I don't know, well, maybe I'm IN LOVE!” They shoulder shimmied to the music, as they were laying on their stomachs, their bodies facing the ladders, Monty and Jasper sung together too,
“So I said I'm a snowball runnin’,”
“ACCIDENTALLY, IM IN LOVE, IM IN LO-”
“Jesus christ.” Anya was now sat on the fold out chair opposite the cupboards, a headache forming,
she had almost fallen asleep in her own hands after 20 minutes, maybe more? She wasn’t sure. The song now was sad, and Jasper and Monty were fake crying into each other's shoulders, Lexa was now dancing with Raven while Clarke drove, her eyesight flicked to Lexa for a moment, Anya could practically see the “oh..” on Clarke's face when her smile dropped, then her eyes snapped back to the road, Lexa saw the sudden movement and Anya watched with curiosity as Lexa walked over to sit in the front seat next to Clarke and Clarke’s face lit back up.
“CLARKE SKIP TO 13!” Raven yelled and Anya was in shock as she was pulled up from her chair and her hands were being tightly held,
Un, dos, cuatro, HIT IT
Anya looked up, startled, at Raven, whose warm brown eyes smiled as she danced with Anya, Anya was far from pleased as Raven danced with her, albeit well, in fact, she danced amazingly.
Anya actually smiled “Did you go to Lincoln’s classes?”
Raven felt something in her stomach churn at the sight of Anya’s smile, she tore her eyes away from Anya’s lips to say:
“Just once,” she winked playfully.
The group were spread out, doing their ‘own thing’ Clarke and Lexa still sat in front, Raven was playing chess with Monty on the table adjacent to Anya, who was reading and astonishingly, so was Jasper.
“Guys I think we should pull over around here,” Clarke stated to the group, as it headed towards later in the day, it was now 7pm.
Lexa nodded in agreement, her head on Clarke’s shoulder, Raven leant out the window behind the bed. Her hands felt the chill of the air as they sat on the window ledge,
“We’re good to stop here, pull over at the next chance and beep to let O and Linc know.”
BEEP.
Clarke pulled over and stood as soon as she could to stretch while Lexa switched off the engine.
“You want a massage?” Lexa worried
“Only from the best.” Clarke teased, “Yeah I do, do you mind?”
“Of course not.” Clarke and Lexa climbed the ladder, Clarke quietly lying on her front and Lexa straddled over er lower back and upper legs, gently massaging her.
Anya pushed her glasses down a little, wondering if they were seriously not seeing how much they obviously liked each other, she hadn't heard anything they said but she could see the two of them, plain as day. Raven looked away from the board, seeing what Anya had seen, rolling her eyes and getting back to the game.
Jasper was sat on the fold up chair, he looked to be finding it hard to concentrate and every now and then his eyesight would drift to Lexa and Clarke, and he stood up with his usual spontaneity and walked over to Monty,
“Am I the only one seeing it?” he asked quietly, as if the two weren’t in their own world on the other side of the coach-sized motor home, all three of them shook their head and Jasper sighed happily, turning and picking up his folded blanket from under Ravens side of the bed.
“I’m going to check on the other love-birds and then go to sleep.” he started walking away “Monty you better get up there soon otherwise I’ll be cold.”
Jasper left before Monty’s brain paused to take a moment to mumble a response, “Be there soon.”
Anya settled back on her book. Once Raven and Monty finished their game Monty picked up his blanket and left, they heard the two shouting for a moment before loud thumps above them that soon stopped, Anya assumed they had gone to sleep now.
Raven laid down, yawning, “Are they asleep?”
Anya looked up at a seemingly asleep Clarke with a passed out Lexa laying literately on top of her “Seems like it,” she chuckled and stopped when Raven spun to look at her,
“You’re really pretty when you smile,” Raven said seriously and it caused Anya's lips to curve slightly upwards,
“Thanks” she paused, “You’re not too bad either.” Anya looked back at her book and placed a bookmark in the middle, closing it softly, “We should turn off the lights,” Raven nodded, turning to flip the light switch that was situated above the table on the wall.
“Goodnight.”
“Goodnight.”
