“I’ve never had one before.” Steve muttered, rubbing the back of his neck with pink cheeks.
“Not even while growing up?”
“Things were hard back then with my mom being sick and all so I just never had the time for one.”
“Are you trying to guilt trip me?”
“Please, I’ve always wanted one!”
“Steve I don’t know.” [Y/N] said with a sigh, “Puppies are a lot of work.”
“I handle you just fine don’t I?” The blonde teased.
“Not something you want to say when begging your girlfriend for a pet.”
“I’m sorry babe!” Steve exclaimed, quickly wrapping her in his arms and peppering kisses all over her face, “You’re the smartest, most beautiful, woman in the world and have I told you today that I love you?”
“You are such a dork!” The [h/c] haired woman laughed as she pushed her boyfriend back, “Fine can you get a puppy.”
“Thanks babe, you’re the best!” Steve exclaimed, pressing a quick kiss to her lips before running towards the elevator, “I’m gonna name him Popcorn!”
She shook her head, watching the blonde super soldier disappear behind the metal doors, it made her all too happy every time she watched how excited Steve would become over the simplest of things. Now there would be two children for her to look after every day but at least her soldier would be happy.
