“Alright mister, it’s time for bed.” [Y/N] said, smiling and ruffing the brunette locks of her four year old son.
“But I’m not tired momma!” The little boy whined, his words followed by a yawn causing his parents to laugh.
“Listen to your mother Kellian.” Bucky urged as he watched his son pout.
“But I’m a superhero!” He said in defiance.
“Even superheroes need their rest little man.” Bucky pointed out, “Uncle Steve and the other Avengers sleep don’t they?”
“Yeah but I’m someone better than them!”
“Oh really?” [Y/N] snickered, watching the little boy stand on the king sized bed, “Then who are you?”
“I’m the Winter Soldier!” Kellian shouted as he jumped off the bed and slammed his left fist into the floor as he had seen his father do, “I’m cool!”
Bucky’s eyes widened in shock as [Y/N] smiled warmly down at her son who was now rubbing his hand, maybe now her husband would listen to her when she said he was their son’s hero.
“You and I are the best papa!” Kellian declared, turning to smile over at his bewildered father.
“Even Winter Soldiers need their rest.” [Y/N] said, bending and picking her son up, “Time for bed.”
“But momma!” Kellian whined.
“No buts.” The [h/c] haired woman said firmly as she walked out of the room.
Bucky however remained laying on the bed, eyes glazed over as he became lost in his thoughts. Maybe he was a hero after all.
