“So how was life on Blüdhaven and Gotham, cities of crime, clowns and heroes?” Asked the excitable Jake Peralta.
“Well I mean, they had ban in place for watching ‘It’ for more or less obvious reasons, but it was fun.” The new detective stated.
“But don’t choose it for your next holiday. The crooks are always up to something.” Richard added.
“But that would be amazing to see!”
“Trust me, as someone who has been sprayed with Scarecrow toxin 5 times in a week, dont go holiday season,”
After a while of talking, the two detectives realised they had so much in common.
“Your life and precinct are so much like my life! Gina is like Steph, my kinda-sister.”
“Rosa is like Jason or Cass, who are some of my adopted siblings, with the personality or the looks.”
“Jefferds is probably like Donna, a good friend who will join in on our fun.”
“Charles is like Wally, a kinda weird best friend who doesn’t completely think through what he says!”
“Captain Holt is like my dad, not my actual dad cause my actual one is dead, though your dad is just a douche.”
“And Amy is like my girlfriend, Babs. Except, she is your girlfriend!” Exclaimed Richard.
“He’s not my boyfriend,” argued Amy.
“That’s what I said when we were kids. But everyone, including my dad’s girlfriend, tried to get us together so we went on a date and-”
“Dude! We are dating other people!” Jake exclaimed.
“Ooof sorry my dude, I know how you feel,” Dick responded with a cringe.
Charles knew in that moment why he liked Richard the moment he entered the precinct.
He shipped Amy and Jake like him!
Charles went to go give the new transfer a fist bump.
But Dick stepped out of the way the moment he saw Charles coming.
Charles, who fist bumps with his whole body, tripped and fell on the ground.
Dick helped him back up.
“Sorry Charles, I have fast reflexes, and people are often trying to punch me,” he apologised.
“It’s fine, it fine, people are always dodging my fist bumps,” Charles said, quite a bit down cast.
Dick thought for a second before putting out his fist.
“Still want a fist bump though?”
Charles completed the fist bump with a large smile.
“Fine Charles? That was awesome! How did you do it? Can you teach me to have reflexes that fast? Pleeeaaase say you can teach me,” Jake said jumping up and down.
Dick just chuckled and showed him how to be slightly faster.
