The idea for this fic, and its tittle, came from the song "Every Scar Has a Story" by Cody Johnson. That's also where I got the idea for Nicole's horse's name.I'm a big rodeo fan, but I don't claim to be an expert, so if anything is inaccurate, please understand that.This story does explore the issue of substance abuse in the rodeo at the beginning.
