Chapter 15

The first thing Sasuke noticed when he woke up was the pounding headache.

The second was that he was in his own room.

He slowly sat up, groaning as the pain in his skull intensified. His body felt heavy, sluggish. He was shirtless, but thankfully still had his pants on. What the hell happened?

His eyes landed on the small table near his bed. A glass of water. Medicine.

Someone had left them there.

He frowned. Who?

Shaking his head, he took the pills and downed the water, sighing as the cool liquid soothed his dry throat. His body ached like he’d been hit by a truck.

Something felt… off.

Like he was forgetting something.

Something important.

The feeling nagged at him, but his head hurt too much to think about it. He needed to clean up and get some fresh air.

Biggest mistake of his life.

---

The Hallway of Doom

The moment Sasuke stepped out of his room, he knew something was wrong.

The hallway was too quiet.

And then—

“Good morning, princess.”

Sasuke stopped dead in his tracks.

Suigetsu was leaning against the wall, grinning like an idiot.

Sasuke’s eye twitched. “What?”

Suigetsu gasped dramatically. “You don’t remember? Wow. I feel so unappreciated.”

Sasuke narrowed his eyes. His headache worsened.

Before he could say anything, Jugo walked by. He glanced at Sasuke, then sighed.

“Don’t drink ever again.”

Sasuke scowled. What the hell did he do?

And then it got worse.

Ino walked past, stifling a laugh. “Ohhh, this is gonna be fun.”

Hidan? Cackling. “Hey, Uchiha! You gonna sit on my lap next?”

Sasuke’s blood ran cold.

What.

Kisame, passing by, grinned. “Morning, lover boy.”

Sasuke’s stomach dropped.

Deidara smirked. “Un, did you sleep well? Or were you dreaming about your ‘man’?”

Nagato, sipping his tea, nodded in greeting. “You were very… expressive last night.”

What. The. Hell. Was. Going. On?

Obito patted his shoulder. “You made us all proud.”

Sasuke, now fully panicking, looked around. Everyone was looking at him with varying levels of amusement.

Even Gaara, who rarely reacted to anything, had the slightest smirk.

Then—

Itachi walked by.

Sasuke latched onto him like a drowning man. “What. Happened.”

Itachi glanced at him, expression unreadable.

Then, with zero emotion, he said—

“You don’t like Karin.”

And walked away.

Sasuke froze.

A flash of memory hit him.

His own voice—slurred, confident, loud.

“Tachi! She is a bitch. She flirts with my man.”

Sasuke stopped breathing.

Another memory surfaced.

Him—sitting on Naruto’s lap.

Getting close.

His lips almost—

Sasuke whipped around to Suigetsu and Jugo. “Tell me that didn’t happen.”

Suigetsu beamed. “Oh, it happened.”

Jugo nodded. “Everyone saw.”

Sasuke felt lightheaded.

A final memory hit him—Naruto’s face. Surprised. Frozen. So damn close.

Sasuke turned and walked back to his room.

No.

He turned the lock.

Nope.

He collapsed onto his bed, hands over his face.

What the hell did he do?

And more importantly—

How was he supposed to face Naruto now?

___

Sasuke made a decision.

He was going to avoid Naruto.

Forever, if possible.

The only problem? Naruto wouldn’t let him.

Everywhere he went, Naruto was there. Smirking. Waiting. Teasing.

At breakfast—
Naruto leaned over. “So… you don’t like Karin, huh?”

Sasuke nearly choked on his coffee.

At training—
Naruto stretched, cracking his neck. “You were really clingy last night. Should I be worried?”

Sasuke tripped.

At dinner—
Naruto nudged him. “I should get you drunk more often.”

Sasuke left the table immediately.

And the worst part? Everyone was in on it.

Pain gave him knowing glances. Deidara smirked at him constantly. Kisame called him 'lover boy' every time they crossed paths.

Hidan? Cackling. “Damn shame you passed out, Uchiha. We could’ve had a good show.”

Sasuke wanted to disappear.

But nothing could prepare him for what came next.

---

It started when Sasuke walked into the lounge.

The moment he did, all conversation stopped.

People were staring.

Whispers. Snickers.

And then—Ino turned her phone toward him.

On the screen, his own drunken self.

“Tachi! She is a bitch! She flirts with my man!”

Sasuke froze.

Ino grinned. “I gotta say, Sasuke, I had no idea you were this dramatic.”

Kakashi, flipping a page in his book, sighed. “Such youthful passion.”

Kisame howled. “Play it again!”

“NO.” Sasuke lunged for Ino’s phone—but she dodged.

“Uh-uh, Uchiha,” she said sweetly. “This is gold.”

Itachi?

Calmly drinking his tea.

Watching the video like it was a documentary.

Sasuke almost passed out again.

---

Sasuke had enough.

He needed revenge.

If Naruto was going to tease him about jealousy, then fine.

Sasuke would make him jealous too.

At a party, he leaned closer to a random person—just enough to be provocative.

Naruto?

Didn’t even flinch.

In fact—he laughed.

Sasuke glared. “What?”

Naruto tilted his head. “You’re cute when you try so hard.”

Sasuke’s brain short-circuited.

Deidara patted his shoulder. “Un, that backfired, huh?”

Sasuke downed his drink in defeat.

---

Eventually, Naruto had enough of the games.

He caught Sasuke alone.

“Sooo…” Naruto leaned against the wall, arms crossed. “Do you really not remember? Or are you pretending?”

Sasuke stiffened. “Remember what?”

Naruto stepped closer. Too close.

The memories rushed back.

His body pressed against Naruto’s.

His lips—almost touching.

His words—‘I don’t like it when you’re close to that bitch.’

Sasuke swallowed. “I… I don’t know.”

Naruto watched him for a moment, then said, “I didn’t mind it.”

Sasuke’s heart stopped.

His mouth went dry. “What?”

Naruto smirked. “I didn’t mind you being close.”

Sasuke felt his entire body heat up.

Naruto turned to leave. “Let me know if you wanna do it again. Sober this time.”

The air between them felt heavy.

Naruto’s words still hung in the silence, wrapping around Sasuke like an inescapable weight.

"I didn’t mind you being close."

Sasuke’s breath hitched. His heartbeat pounded in his ears, drowning out all other noise.

Naruto started to turn away, but before he could, Sasuke took a step forward—closer.

His body moved before his mind could catch up.

Naruto stopped. Not moving. Not speaking. Just watching him.

Sasuke felt his pulse hammering in his throat. He wasn’t thinking anymore. He couldn’t.

All he could feel was the warmth of Naruto’s presence, the way his own skin burned with an unfamiliar, terrifying excitement.

Slowly, hesitantly, Sasuke closed his eyes.

His face inched forward.

His breath was shaky, his chest tight, but he didn’t stop.

And then—

He felt it.

A warm, soft press against his lips.

Naruto had leaned in, meeting him halfway.

Sasuke’s entire body froze.

For a moment, the world stilled.

It wasn’t rushed. It wasn’t desperate. It was gentle, uncertain—yet somehow perfect.

Naruto’s lips were warm, the faintest brush against his own, like a question neither of them could put into words.

Sasuke could feel his heartbeat racing out of control, but for once, he didn’t care.

Naruto’s fingers brushed against his wrist—light, hesitant, careful. As if touching Sasuke too firmly would shatter whatever fragile moment they had created.

And then, just as suddenly as it happened, Naruto pulled back.

Sasuke’s eyes fluttered open.

Naruto was staring at him, breathing slightly heavier, eyes searching his face like he was trying to understand what had just happened.

Sasuke swallowed, his lips still tingling. His mind was blank, yet so full.

Neither of them spoke.

They didn’t need to.

Because in that quiet, shared moment, they both knew.

This wasn’t just a drunken mistake.

It wasn’t just teasing.

It was real.

Their breaths mixed, hot and uneven, as they lingered just a moment longer—uncertain but unwilling to part.

Then, as if drawn by an invisible force, they leaned in again.

This time, there was no hesitation.

Naruto’s lips met Sasuke’s with more urgency, a quiet hunger that hadn’t been there before.

Sasuke responded instinctively, parting his lips, welcoming him in.

And then—their tongues met.

A slow, tentative brush, a cautious exploration that sent a shiver down Sasuke’s spine.

Naruto tasted warm, faintly sweet, and utterly addictive.

Sasuke pressed closer, arms moving without thought, wrapping around Naruto’s shoulders, pulling him in as if afraid he might disappear.

Naruto let out a soft sound, deepening the kiss further, his hand lifting—fingertips grazing Sasuke’s side, tracing the curve of his waist.

Sasuke shuddered at the touch, heat pooling in his chest, his mind spinning.

Everything around them blurred, faded into nothing—until only this remained.

Only them.

Just as Naruto’s hand slid against his waist, just as their kiss grew deeper—Sasuke suddenly froze.

His grip on Naruto’s shoulders tightened for a split second before he pushed back, breaking the kiss.

Naruto blinked, his lips slightly parted, breathing heavy. “Huh?”

Sasuke stared at him, eyes wide, cheeks flushed. His own breath was uneven, but his expression had suddenly shifted—a mix of panic and realization.

“We—” he swallowed, shaking his head. “We can’t do this.”

Naruto frowned, confused. “What? Why not?”

Sasuke gave him a pointed look, like it was obvious. “Because you have a girlfriend, idiot.”

Naruto stared. Then sputtered. “What? I—? Since when?!”

Sasuke scoffed, arms crossing as he looked away. “Don’t play dumb. Karin.”

For a second, there was silence. Then—Naruto laughed.

Not just a chuckle—a full, genuine laugh.

Sasuke’s eyes narrowed. “What’s so funny?”

Naruto grinned, scratching the back of his head, looking almost shy.

“She’s my cousin.”

The world stopped.

Sasuke’s breath hitched. He processed.

Then—his eye twitched.

“You’re kidding.”

“Nope.”

“You’re messing with me.”

“Nope.”

Sasuke’s lips parted, but no words came out. His face twitched through several emotions at once.

Then—he slapped Naruto’s arm. Hard.

“OW! Bastard, what was that for?!”

“You—” Sasuke pointed an accusing finger at him. “You let me believe—” He exhaled sharply, gripping his hair in frustration before snapping his gaze back. “You let me get jealous over your cousin?!”

Naruto held his arms up in surrender, barely containing his laughter. “Hey, we were just teasing you a little!”

Sasuke gawked.

Then scowled.

Then turned sharply on his heel.

“I hate you,” he grumbled, storming off.

Naruto, still grinning, jogged after him. “Oh, come on, don’t be mad! You looked kinda cute when you were jealous—”

“Shut up!”

Naruto only laughed harder.

Got it! Here's a longer, more detailed version of the scene with more depth, emotions, and interactions.

Secret Moments & A Stormy Night

It had been a week since Naruto and Sasuke had started dating, but no one knew—not even Itachi. Sasuke made it clear from the beginning: he refused to be teased. Naruto didn’t mind keeping it a secret for now, but it was harder than he thought when all he wanted to do was pull Sasuke close whenever he felt like it.

They stole moments whenever they were alone. A brush of fingers, a lingering gaze, a quiet smirk. It was subtle, but the tension between them was obvious—at least, to anyone paying attention.

Right now, they were alone in Naruto’s office, the soft sound of papers shuffling filling the room. Naruto was supposed to be working, but he was far more interested in teasing Sasuke.

Sasuke leaned over the desk, his fingers grazing Naruto’s as he grabbed a pen.

Naruto smirked. “You just like touching me, don’t you?”

Sasuke gave him an unimpressed look. “Shut up.”

Naruto chuckled. “Come on, you can admit it. You can’t resist me.”

Sasuke sighed, rolling his eyes, but his lips twitched slightly—almost a smile. He didn’t pull his hand away immediately, either. Naruto noticed.

Just then, the door swung open, and Shikamaru stepped in.

The mood shifted instantly.

Naruto quickly grabbed a random document, pretending to be busy. Sasuke straightened, stepping back like nothing happened.

Shikamaru looked at them for a second too long.

Naruto had that innocent look like he wasn’t just flirting seconds ago. Sasuke, meanwhile, was too stiff.

Shikamaru sighed. He knew something was up, but he didn’t care enough to ask.

“Here,” he tossed a folder onto Naruto’s desk. “Documents from the last deal. Also, stop making my job harder.”

“Love you too, Shika.”

“Shut up.”

Sasuke grabbed his coat. “I’m heading out for a bit.”

Naruto leaned back in his chair. “Ooooh, where to?”

“To buy something.”

“Get me ramen.”

Sasuke exhaled through his nose. “Fine.”

Shikamaru didn’t miss how Sasuke agreed way too easily. He definitely wasn’t imagining it—they were close. But he also wasn’t about to make things awkward.

“Troublesome,” he muttered, walking out as Sasuke left the room.

---

Sasuke finished his errands and grabbed ramen for Naruto. As he stepped out of the shop, he felt the first drop of rain hit his cheek.

Then another.

And then—a full downpour.

“...Tch.”

Sasuke pulled his coat tighter and started walking faster, but there was no shelter nearby. He picked up his pace, but the cold wind cut through his soaked clothes like a knife.

After a few minutes, he found a small rooftop and ducked underneath it. He stood there, arms crossed, trying to ignore the shivers crawling down his spine. The rain showed no sign of stopping.

Minutes passed.

Then thirty.

Sasuke hated this.

By the time the rain finally eased, he was freezing. His clothes were damp, sticking to his skin, and the cold air only made it worse.

His body felt heavy as he trudged back to HQ, sniffling slightly.

Naruto had been in his office, waiting for his ramen, when Sasuke finally walked in.

At first, Naruto grinned.

“Hey, you’re back—”

Then he actually looked at Sasuke.

Dripping wet. Pale. Sniffling.

Naruto’s grin vanished.

“Damn. You look like a wet cat,” he snorted. But his amusement didn’t last. “Wait—you good?”

Sasuke rubbed his arm, still shivering slightly. “I’m fine.”

“You don’t look fine.”

Sasuke exhaled, grabbing a towel from the side. “Probably just caught a cold. I’ll drink some hot coffee—it’ll be fine.”

Naruto watched him carefully. “You should change. I’ve got spare clothes in the back.”

Sasuke didn’t argue. He went to change, but even after that, his body still felt cold.

As the night stretched on, HQ slowly emptied. Most people had gone home, and only a few remained.

Sasuke sat at his desk, trying to focus on some paperwork, but his head was pounding. His body felt warmer than before. His vision blurred slightly, and eventually, his eyelids felt too heavy to keep open.

Before he knew it, he had fallen asleep at his desk.

Naruto was still working, glancing at Sasuke every once in a while. But when he noticed how unusually still Sasuke was, his brows furrowed.

Naruto walked over, nudging him.

“Oi, Sasuke.”

No response.

Frowning, Naruto pressed a hand to Sasuke’s forehead.

Burning.

Naruto’s stomach dropped.

“Sasuke,” he said, firmer this time, shaking his shoulder. Sasuke barely stirred, a weak sound leaving his lips.

Yeah, no. This wasn’t just a cold anymore.

Naruto exhaled. Then, without hesitation, he scooped Sasuke up into his arms.

Bridal style.

“...Damn, you’re heavier than you look,” Naruto muttered.

Sasuke let out a tiny, irritated groan, barely registering what was happening.

Naruto smirked. “Yeah, yeah. Just sleep, princess.”

---

Carrying Sasuke Home

Naruto reached his car, carefully placing Sasuke in the seat. He tried to wake him again, shaking his shoulder lightly.

Nothing.

Just a small, tired noise as Sasuke curled slightly toward the warmth of Naruto’s jacket.

Naruto sighed. “You’re lucky I like you.”

When they arrived at Naruto’s apartment, Naruto unbuckled Sasuke’s seatbelt, then lifted him again.

This time, Sasuke mumbled something against Naruto’s chest.

Naruto chuckled. “What was that?”

Silence.

Naruto shook his head and carried him inside.

---

Taking Care of Him All Night

Naruto carefully set Sasuke down on the bed. His breathing was uneven, his face still too warm.

Naruto sighed, grabbing a cold cloth and pressing it to Sasuke’s forehead.

“Idiot,” he muttered. “Who just stands in the rain for half an hour?”

Sasuke stirred slightly, his brows furrowing, but he didn’t wake up.

Naruto didn’t leave his side all night.

He made sure Sasuke was warm, comfortable, and had everything he needed. Even as the hours passed, Naruto stayed by his side.

Because this was Sasuke.

And Naruto wasn’t going anywhere.
