Chaos part 5
Dre’s POV
Dre was bored.
Rehearsals were over for the day, and she had nothing to do—so naturally, she decided to entertain herself the best way she knew how: messing with Anna.
She found her in the dressing room, sitting on the couch and staring at her phone like it held the secrets of the universe.
Suspicious.
Dre plopped down next to her. “Whatcha doing?”
Anna jumped. “NOTHING.”
Dre squinted. “Uh-huh. Nothing looks a lot like you being weird.”
“I’m not being weird.”
“You’re always weird.”
Anna groaned. “Go away, Andrea.”
Dre gasped. “Full name? Oh, you’re hiding something.”
Anna rolled her eyes, shoving her phone in her pocket. “I’m not.”
Dre smirked. Time to dig.
“So,” she started casually, “you seeing anyone?”
Anna blinked. “What?”
“You know,” Dre waved a hand. “Crushes? Feelings? Love of your life?”
Anna scoffed. “No.”
Dre squinted. “You hesitated.”
Anna looked away. “No, I didn’t.”
Dre grinned. “You totally did. OH MY GOD, YOU LIKE SOMEONE.”
“Shh!” Anna slapped a hand over Dre’s mouth, panicked. “People can hear you!”
Dre wiggled her eyebrows. “So you do like someone.”
Anna groaned, defeated. “Maybe.”
Dre clapped her hands. “WHO? Spill. Now.”
Anna sighed, looking everywhere but at Dre.
Dre waited.
“I meet them the day I met you.”
Dre gasped. “Someone who works on the show?!”
Anna sighed. “Not on the show… in the show.”
Dre stared at Anna intensely. “Give me a clue.”
Finally, after a long pause, Anna muttered, “…She has blue eyes.”
Dre froze.
Blue eyes.
Wait. WAIT.
She mentally ran through the list of possible people.
And then it hit her.
Her jaw dropped.
“OH MY GOD,” she shrieked. “IT’S ABBY.”
Anna flinched. “SHUT UP.”
Dre grabbed her shoulders. “ANNA. IT’S ABBY. YOU LIKE ABBY.”
Anna covered her face. “I hate you.”
“I KNEW YOU WERE ACTING WEIRD AROUND HER.” Dre was thriving. “You get all blushy, and awkward, and oh my God, this is amazing.”
Anna groaned, flopping back against the couch. “Why do I tell you things?”
Dre grinned. “Because I’m your best friend and now I have so much power.”
Anna shot her a glare. “If you do anything, I will actually kill you.”
Dre hummed. “Mmm. That’s cute.”
Anna narrowed her eyes.
Dre beamed.
“Oh, by the way,” she said casually. “Abby! Can you come in here for a sec?”
Anna bolted upright. “DRE, NO.”
Abby poked her head through the door. “Yeah?”
Dre smirked at Anna before turning to Abby innocently.
“Oh, nothing,” she said, sweetly. “Anna just wanted to know if you could pick up lunch for everyone. With her.”
Abby smiled. “Sure! Let me grab my coat.”
Anna turned to Dre, murder in her eyes.
“I will actually stab you,” she whispered.
Dre just patted her shoulder. “Love you too. Have fun on your totally platonic lunch date.”
Anna groaned.
This was going to be a disaster.
