Chapter 5
Sanji stands infront of the sink, brushing his teeth thoroughly as he thinks about his first day at Grand Line University. It had been a long, tiring hard day but he had managed to be a part of a group. He didn't know how long it would take for him to learn English but he already knew three people who spoke Tchach and it didn't feel as left out as he had expected it to.
Ace had accompanied them; he was a college student now so his dorm wasn't super sharp on expecting students back every night. They still got random urine check ups to check for drugs and room searches to look for any hidden guns or other weapons but other than that, the students had a free range with time restrictions and booze.
Ace and Sanji had talked a lot. A lot. The man had been to so many adventures, he said that it was his calling. Exploring and adventuring. Learning more about the world, meeting new people, making new friends. Sanji told him about his dream to be an explorer too, but for the ocean.
They had been talking and cleaning the dishes when Perona had pulled Sanji aside and ordered the older man to clean out and dry the dishes while she provided Sanji with random ingredients and made him cook her very small servings of whatever came to his mind. About thirty minutes later, she had offered Sanji a position in the kitchen with respectable pay and timing. Turned out, Ace already worked there as a bus boy or waiter.
Sanji spat and rinsed, placing his brush on the small holder on the sink and grinned at himself in the mirror, looking at his teeth and checking to see if he missed any spot. Satisfied, he headed to his room, sticking to the right side of the floor to avoid slipping this time.
Zoro had cleaned up the mess and promised to replace everything that had broken the next day. Sanji's head still ached a little, though not too much. His arm however hurt. He needed to take the medicine Chopper gave him. On Entering the dark room, he saw ZORO and Ace huddled up in a single blanket, their faces illuminated by the light of the laptop.
He walked past them to his bed on the farther corner of the room. He was glad he had made the bed before leaving. Picking up the medicines chopper gave him from the table, he popped out one of each and unscrewed the bottle cap before swallowing the medicines with water.
He kept the water bottle back on the table and picked up his cell, unlocking it and searching for Zeff's number. He really needed to talk to his father. Glancing at the duo sitting on the other bed, Sanji's eyes met Zoro's for a second before the curious brown eyes were lowered to the screen again.
Blinking once, Sanji tapped in Zeff's number and headed out the room, not wanting to disturb the other two. Pressing the call icon, Sanji locked the phone and pressed it to his ear as he dropped down and lay on the couch. The phone rang for a few seconds before a gruff voice answered the call.
"Hello?"
Pure Tchach accent. Sanji thought it was in his head but Ace, Luffy and Nami didn't have the real accent. Grinning to himself, and closing his eyes, Sanji replied.
"Hey dad."
"Sanji, you called late."
"I know, I'm sorry. What are you doing?"
"Woke up an hour ago. How was your first day?"
"It was... Nice. I met three people who speak Tchach here. And one of them gave me the trip of the entire university... Or, atleast, the most visited places in the university. I'll explore more tomorrow."
"That's good. What about your English?"
"Oh, I will be taking classes from professor Robin starting tomorrow."
"Good good. What else? Who is your roommate?"
"It's this guy named Zoro. He can't speak Tchach but he is alright. Too soon to say anything.. How are things there?"
"Too soon to say anything."
Sanji chuckled. They talked for a few more minutes before Sanji hung up the call. Two minutes later, he was asleep on the couch.

Ace stepped out of the room to grab a couple of beers from the fridge when he noticed Sanji curled up on the sofa and breathing peacefully, lips slightly parted. Beers forgotten, he turned around and went back in the room and pulled the laptop off Zoro’s lap.
“What!?” Zoro squawked, wanting to watch more episodes of Sense8 but Ace shushed him and a second later he pressed his lips against the younger boy’s.
Zoro stilled for a moment before relaxing into the small kiss, allowing tingles to run up his spine and letting his cheeks warm up. It had been two long months without his boyfriend.
