*Works best if you know the plotlines of Bioshock, Bioshock Infinite, and Sherlock (the BBC TV series) but if you wanna wing this, you go find that desperate confusion, my man*Think Bioshock (the first one), with Sherlock characters, then add Bioshock Infinite crossover, with more Sherlock characters, then twist that around until it looks like a really complicated pretzel, throw in some Johnlock, and maybe even some Mystrade, and a not-as-depressing ending.In other words:A man survives a plane crash into the Atlantic Ocean, swims to a conveniently located lighthouse, and descends in a submarine to an underwater city called Rapture. Then the real weird stuff starts happening.

Did You Miss Me?

ALRIGHT FRIENDS. So. Ya girl really be out here regretting her first and only abandoned fic (uwu) and she was playing Bioshock for like three minutes for funsies when she goes WOAH HANG ON WAIT IVE GOT THE BEST FUCKIN PLAN FOR THAT FIC I ABANDONED. And therefore I am working on bringing this guy back from the mcfucking dead with some Fresh New Takes.

Here's the tea:

So! Two general strains of Bioshock: Rapturian (taking place in Rapture, Bioshock and Bioshock 2, as well as Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea) and Columbian (taking place in Columbia, Bioshock Infinite). My issue was how to connect these using only BBC Sherlock characters in a way that was engaging and not plot-regurgitation or otherwise unfun.

Then! Since the discontinuation of this fic, HBOAsia came out with this lovely (read: I would die for them) rendition of Sherlock (based on the BBC series) called Miss Sherlock. This series is phenomenal, in some ways better than the BBC in my opinion. This version is set in Japan and features female versions of Sherlock and John (who they call Wato-san). As a wlw myself, I adore this version and actually prefer it over the BBC version myself (mostly cause fuck Moffat).

Now! I am going to do a rehaul of the first chapters (those posted here) with focus on the Miss Sherlock characters, and include the BBC Sherlock bois for the Infinite universe. (This is for thematic reasons: I feel the plot and character arcs of Miss Sherlock characters fits better with the Rapturian canon, while BBC characters have a closer aesthetic to the Columbian characters.)

THAT SAID! I am going to be reposting this fic, under a similar title most likely, separately here on AO3. If you would like to understand the Miss Sherlock bits of plot, I would recommend you watch that (HBO has it, I'm sure pirate sites have it although I am legally required to say I do not condone such pirating and I am sure none of you would ever, it's 8 40-minute episodes and it is fantastic, catch up on winter break). I Shall Return.

TLDR!!!! I am rewriting this fic including characters and plot from "Miss Sherlock," so go ahead and get yourself caught up on that before I start posting again in a few weeks or less. I will add a chapter to this fic with a link to the new work when I have it up!
