A new persona
After Lucien left, a girl called out to Vicente.
Jane Moren, the most famous girl in school, approached with an air of effortless confidence. Her father was a renowned orchestra conductor, her mother a celebrated theater actress, and she herself was a model and trendsetter.
"I've been looking around for you," Jane said, tilting her head. "Why are you here? The headmistress is waiting for us."
Vicente smirked, hands in his pockets. "I was just looking around."
Jane sighed but didn’t press further. "Let's go."
Meanwhile, Lucien headed to class, still fuming from his encounter with Vicente. His day was already off to a terrible start.
As he stepped inside, the room was buzzing with chatter. Groups and pairs of students were already seated, engaged in their own conversations.
Lucien, of course, was the last one to arrive.
He quickly scanned the room, looking for an empty seat. Spotting one by the window, he wasted no time making his way over. It was the perfect spot—far from the center of attention and close enough to let him zone out if needed.
Slumping into his chair, he propped his elbow on the desk and rested his chin on his palm. He had no interest in whatever the other students were doing. Let them gossip and stare. He wasn’t here to make friends.
Then, the door opened again.
A man stepped inside, exuding an aura that screamed, *don’t mess with me.*
Lucien immediately straightened up, sensing the shift in the room’s atmosphere. The idle chatter died down as the students turned their attention to the front.
The man’s sharp gaze swept over them before he spoke. "Good morning, class. My name is Louie Arnold. I will be your professor for this course. I expect discipline and competence. If you’re here to slack off, reconsider your choices."
Lucien sighed internally, great another hardass.
