The moment of truth

It was finally Friday. Christmas break would start tomorrow, and we had 2 whole weeks off. Hitoshi and I were walking to the parking lot, eager to get home and prepare for the upcoming holiday. The hallways were filled with students, all of them making their way to the exits. As we passed 1-A, we saw that some of the students were still by the door, waiting for an opening in the sea of people. Bakugou was one of the few who had pushed his way through the crowd, threatening to blast anyone who didn't move.

"Bakugou!" Hitoshi shouted, drawing the Pomeranian's attention away from the people around him. He spotted us quickly, moving around people as he walked towards us.

"What do you want, extras?" Bakugou asked, mouth pulled back in a scowl while his eyes flashed with amusement. In the days following the Joint-training session, Bakugou and Hitoshi had become closer as friends, and you could see the mischievous spark in their eyes.

"Are we not allowed to talk to our friends now?" I joked, lightly elbowing the other blond in the side. Under any other circumstances, if anyone else had done that, they would have been blasted to bits. Bakugou has just learnt to accept it whenever he was with Hitoshi and I. He flicked me in the nose, earning a chuckle from Hitoshi.

"You're actually just the people I wanted to see." Bakugou responded, readjusting his jacket as we finally exited the building. "I need to talk to Aizawa, but he's busy giving Mineta and Kaminari detention so I figured I'd pass the time with you."

"But don't you have to head back to your dorm and pack for break?" Hitoshi asked, not completely understanding the situation. I glanced at Bakugou, who's mouth was drawn in a thin line.

"I don't want to go home for break this year." Bakugou muttered, leading us towards the dorms. The other students were outside the school, waiting for parents to pick them up and take them home. The path leading to the dorms was quiet.

"Why wouldn't you want to go home? Don't you want to see your family?" Hitoshi asked. Bakugou flinched slightly the hand gripping his bag tightening.

"I'll explain in my dorm." Was all he said, leading us into the building and into an elevator. The ride was quiet, and once the doors opened and Bakugou led us out, I noticed that the halls were quiet and empty. Bakugou opened his door, flinging his bag onto the chair by his desk before plopping himself into his bed. Hitoshi and I made ourselves comfortable before sitting on the floor across from Bakugou. Hitoshi was about to speak when his phone went off, his ringtone cutting through the silence like a knife. Hitoshi excused himself out into the hall, leaving Bakugou and I also in the room.

"Are you sure you want to tell them?" I asked, knowing exactly what Bakugou's plan was without him telling me. He nodded, keeping his eyes on the floor as he toyed with the end of a pillow case. Hitoshi walked back in, disingenuous phone into his pocket.

"Aizawa is on his way. I told him you wanted to talk to him." The purple male said, obviously addressing the other male in the room. Bakugou nodded, pushing himself off his bed and heading to his closet. He moved some stuff around and pulled something out, moving everything back and sitting down. He had a bag of chips in his hand, opening it and grabbing out the crispy snack. He held the bag out to us, offer us some. Hitoshi scooter closer to the bed, grabbing a handful of chips from the bag. I grabbed a few, leaning back against the dresser behind me.

We sat there in relative silence, munching on chips as Hitoshi and Bakugou played on there phones and I finished my math homework. A knock on the door broke us out of our trance, Bakugou closing the chip bag and placing it on his desk as he made his way to the door. Aizawa and Mic stood there, coats still zipped up from their walk from the school to the dorms. Bakugou let them in, Hitoshi and I moving in order to make space for the adults.

"Hitoshi said you wanted to talk to us." Aizawa said, his voice tired and ragged, almost as if he had been yelling.

Do you think he was yelling at Mineta and Kaminari? Eloise asked. I mentally shrugged.

Depends on what they did. Although knowing Mineta and Kaminari, Mineta was the one who started it and Kaminari was being defensive.

Bakugou took a deep breath, more than likely to calm his nerves. He sat on his bed, his foot tapping lightly on the floor.

"I guess it's kinda two things. They tie together." He started, looking up at the adults. "I know. About everything. How you and Mic are together, how you adopted Hitoshi, how Umiko is from another dimension, I know all of it."

"How do you know?" Mic asked. Bakugou looked at me, a silent question passing between us.

"I told him." I confessed. "I snuck out one night, things happened, and I ended up talking him."

"Wait, did you to have sex?!" Aizawa asked, his face starting to comfort with rage. Bakugou's eyes widened and we both gagged slightly.

"I'm a lesbian, Aizawa." I said, shocked that he would think I would have sex with Bakugou.

"But you said you snuck out." Mic prodded.

"That ties into the second thing I wanted to talk about." Bakugou muttered. " I called her one night and asked her to help me get back to my dorm. she snuck out to come and help me. "

"Why would you need help?" Aizawa asked, his eyebrows knitting together in confusion. Bakugou swallowed , his Adam's apple bobbing a little.

"I came out as gay to my parents in middle school and they didn't take it too well. I've been abused since I came out and I've been kept from hanging out with my friends on the weekends. The night the Umi helped me to my dorm was one of the better nights, but I was just down with the abuse and I needed to get out." Bakugou explained. "Umiko said I should tell someone, see if I could get help. Eventually she convinced me to tell you guys, but only when I was ready."

Aizawa was fuming with anger at this point, and Mic looked like he was plotting murder. They looked at each other and Mic led Aizawa out of the room, closing the door behind them. Hitoshi looked at Bakugou, before standing and encasing the blond in a hug.

"Remind me to kill your parents when I see them next." Hitoshi muttered, loud enough for me to hear. Aizawa and Mic walked back in, both of them seeming to have calmed down from their initial murderous moods.

"Pack your bags." Mic said. "You're staying with us for the break."

"Won't your parents ask why you aren't coming home?" I asked, concerned that Bakugou's parents would throw a fit, or worse, if Bakugou didn't have a decent explination.

"I'll send them an email staring that I'm giving you an in school suspension over break. They'll think that you're basically on house arrest." Aizawa explained, a small smile tugging at the edge of his lips. Bakugou smiled, happy with the outcome. While Bakugou was packing, Aizawa placed an envelope into mine and Hitoshi's hands. Bakugou stopped his packing to look up, his gaze curious.

"What are these?" I asked, running my fingers along the edges of the envelope.

"Open them and find out." Mic said from his place against the wall. Hitoshi and looked at each other, shrugging before tearing open the envelopes.

"Dear UA student,

We are proud to announce that, after careful consideration and review of your test scores, teacher recommendations, and practical testing, that you have been chosen to join next the hero course next semester and will join your fellow classmates in class 1-A." Hitoshi read out loud, his eyes widening as he read the letter.

"Attached to this letter you will find all the paper work you need to fill out before the due dates written at the top. You are expected to move into your dorms three (3) days before the start of the semester." I continued reading, excitement buzzing in my veins.

"Hitoshi, we did it!" I yelled, jumping into the male and hugging him. Hitoshi laughed, a large smile spreading across his face. Bakugou came over and clapped us on the back, his smile a little wider.

"Now I have more extras to take care of." He said sarcastically, causing me to roll my eyes.

"Admit it," I said. "you like taking care of your friends. That way you know they aren't going to get into trouble." Bakugou attempted to deny it, but he knew that I was right.

I told you that you would get in, and you didn't believe me! Eloise yelled.

I didn't say I didn't believe you, I responded. I just didn't need to get my hopes up.

And to think, only a few weeks ago you had no idea how you got here. You were brand new to this dimension, and now you're getting into every students dream course.

I smiled a little. I felt like a brick had been lifted off my chest, and I could breath easier.

"Let's go home and celebrate! " Mic said, and the rest of us agreed. We walked out of the dorms and to the car, a glow of happiness around us as the snow began to fall, coating the world in white.
