deku.
deku — the quirkless, useless, shitty green haired kid who called him kacchan and hung off his every word. deku who followed him around even though he was mean. deku who worshiped the ground he walked on. deku, who had moved away and left him.
deku wasn't his friend. just another stupid extra. he sat by a large tree on the hill, making small explosions in his palms, lighting his crimson eyes. he wouldn't miss him. it was just a weight lifted from his shoulders, he guessed. So why did he feel so bad and alone? he snarled to himself, pushing himself up and walking to the park exit. his kiddie watch read 15:30 PM.
he progressed home, blinking slowly. Looking in-between the gates he could see a few weird kids. they were all clustered about, talking and gesturing animatedly. he guessed some quirks. one had wings, like tsubasa, he noted. one had some kind of mutant dog quirk, one had some kind of smoke quirk, blowing it in the winged boys face which made him thrash and yelp in protest. He kept walking, knocking at the door. Mitsuki opened the door, looking her son up and down as she let him in.
"You're home earlier than usual. Did something happen? Or is it just Izuku?"
The youngest Bakugou scowled at her, making his way up the stairs and to his bedroom. He spent the rest of his day playing, reading and being a nuisance to the old hag and Masaru.
He did notice that his mother had made spicy katsudon, which he wasn't against. At all. Maybe she was trying to cheer him up? There was no need. He didn't need deku, and he never had. That night he slept peacefully, not wondering more insults and his brain wasn't whirring with stupid shit.

Tsubasa was at the park the next day, and came toward Katsuki, only to leave within five minutes. Maybe it was the stinging insult of "Fuck off, extra." which was highly likely, and now Katsuki was thinking about it he'd never used it against the winged male. He shrugged and skipped off, talking to the kids he'd seen yesterday. What was the point of coming here anymore? There was nothing for him.
Across the park there was 2 small boys. An electric blond with a black streak, and a solid black haired kid with weird elbows. They seemed happy enough talking to eachother, the blonde gesturing wildly with his hands, laughing and sparking a bit. The ravenette had a toothy smile, and the Bakugou noted that his teeth were straight - perfect for someone his age. They both seemed only a few months younger than him, and a whole lot happier.
with them was just some, floating clothes? he squinted. sure enough it was just floating clothes, moving about with them as they walked off. An invisibility quirk, some kind of electric quirk and some elbow? thing? Strange. He blinked, watching them walk off and away into the vast distance.
a thud interrupted his thoughts, his scarlet optics resting on another ravenette. His eyes had a similar red pigmenting, but his pupils were a bit wider than his, with an air of naïvety. His skin was hard and ragged, seemingly going back to being smooth and normal after he fell.
"You okay?" The ash blonde asked, trying to look as disinterested as possible. The black haired boy squeaked, getting up swiftly and tilting his head slightly. Kind of like an interested puppy. "You okay? You fell out of a fucking tree." He repeated flatly. He must've sparked a bit, or maybe the other male was jumpy, because he skipped away, looking back for a second.
Weird. As he walked home he thought about who he'd seen today and their quirks. Wait- shit, he was picking up deku's habit. He cleared his head of the thoughts, arms resting at the back of his neck idly. Across the road from him was another frail, purple haired male who looked like he hadn't slept for days, sitting on the sidewalk with a fluffy pink haired, pink girl with yellow, coral like horns and a black sclera and yellow irises. The both looked up at him, and raccoon eyes waved to him excitedly, and the sleepless purple rat looked at ground, the cat next to him purring as he pet it lazily.
he returned it with a scowl, entering the already open door of the house. Maybe they'd just moved in. He watched them from his bedroom window, deciding he had nothing better to do anyway. Raccoon eyes lived in the house, great. Insomniac rat lived a little ways down the street. The pink girl was enthusiastic to make friends, and he'd caught a scrap of her name. Minnie? Minnow? Mina. And the purple boy was something like Toshi. He read himself to sleep after dinner, head void of thoughts.
