Entrance exams

Though none of the teachers or detectives would admit it, the fact that Rogue hasn't been active recently was concerning. His last sighting was a month ago when Aizawa almost caught him during the day oddly enough.

The only reason most of the teachers even knew about the kid is because they found out Aizawa was the sole leading pro hero on the case. Others had tried to join but we're quickly chased off if their methods were deemed too forceful.

"Any news on Rogue?" Was the most common greeting in the teacher's lounge now as they all prepared for the upcoming school year. The optimists of the bunch suggested maybe he had come to his senses and stopped with vigilantism.

But everybody had heard the rumors. Apparently Rogue had unfinished business with a group called the 'League of Villains', the same group that kidnapped the Midoriya kid.

It was theorized that maybe Rogue was one of Midoriya's friends who just wanted to make the kidnappers pay. But no one knew the real reason.

"Aizawa. You must come to the monitor room, the physical is about to start." Ectoplasm called. With a few grumbles, Aizawa exited his sleeping bag and got off the couch in the teacher's lounge. Following Ectoplasm to the monitor room where all the UA teachers would watch the physical part of the entrance exam.

"Do you think Rogue will try out? From your descriptions Shouta it sounds like he could easily be a first-year." Yamada, or more commonly known as Present Mic, suggested. If there was a drop of hope in his voice nobody decided to mention it.

"I think not. I may have failed to mention I had a lovely phone call with him the day Aizawa almost caught him a month ago and I asked him the very same question and he said he couldn't test for it." Principal Nedzu spoke up. The teachers all froze.

"What did he call you for? He had to want something right?" Midnight questioned.

"He asked me to upgrade the security at the USJ for when the new class 1A goes actually."

"What? Why? Wait, how'd even know about that?" Yamaha asked, keeping his voice in check as his emotions rose. Mainly curiosity and surprise but anything could set off his quirk.

"I fear he suspects an attack from that group, the League of Villains on that day. He has also asked that I not allow him to be arrested if he should show up to lend a hand." Nedzu just decided to completely invite the second part of his question.

The Principal's statement was met with silence and one by one the teachers in the room turned to watch the exam begin instead. What Nedzu said could be thought about later. They had possible students to pick.

Izuku swears his break from being Rogue was only supposed to last a week at most but Eri just had so much going on he couldn't leave her alone at night. Like she had so much emotional baggage that Izuku had to very carefully help her with.

He would trade the whole world for the light in her eyes when she realized she could trust him. She's even started smiling pretty regularly now.

But just because he's not on the streets doesn't mean that he had completely hung up his mask for the time being.

The boards had been added to and so had Izuku's network of information. He had been working on his skills with a computer. Even mastering a few college classes within a week.

Being a hacker was a relatively new experience for Izuku but he liked to think he was getting the hang of it pretty quickly.

Eri had officially claimed the left space next to his bed. She had a small twin mattress covered in blankets and stuffed animals. Kiko-sama, or Mizuki now that they talked regularly outside of work, even bought her a computer so she can do her schooling. Izuku was quite proud to say he had helped her officially catch up to her grade level.

"Izu-nii! Can we go to the park?" Eri asked tugging on his sleeve. Izuku tried to take her to the park pretty regularly so she could socialize with other kids her age. School was about to start back up so that would get harder to do.

"Sure, but I need to get somethings from the store down the street beforehand alright?" Eri nodded and went to go change into the clothes she wore to play in. While Izuku signed out of the class he was taking and changed into his long-sleeved undershirt. Grabbing his face mask he stood by the door waiting for Eri to come out in her play clothes.

Once she did they walked hand in hand to the family-owned corner store that was just down the street. Eri prattled on about how cool UA was and how she was so going to go there one day while Izuku just listened with a smile. Sometimes it was easy to forget she was only six. He had figured that out after some digging since Eri herself didn't know her birthday.

"Nii-san watch out!" Izuku processed Eri's warning too late as he crashed into someone's chest. That someone grabbed him out of pure instinct.

Now, Izuku had suspected that whatever god watched over him hated his guts but that was only reconfirmed when he saw who he had just bumped into.

It was none other than Todoroki Shouto.

"Oh my goodness! I am so sorry!" Izuku's face was flushed in embarrassment. Hey, just because he's emotionally scarred doesn't mean he can't get embarrassed when he just bumped into, a cute boy, someone.

"Just watch where you're going." The dual haired teen ordered as he helped Izuku regain his balance. Okay but wow, thatwas kinda cold.

"Woah! Your eyes are so cool!" Todoroki looked surprised at the comment and looked down to see Eri standing next to Izuku.

"You know what that's called Imouto?" Izuku asked picking her up to balance her on his hip. She stared at Todoroki as she tried to think of the word for his two-toned eyes.

"Heterochromia!" she announced finally. Izuku gave her a high five and turned to his attention back to Todoroki.

"Ah, I'm sorry if we made you feel uncomfortable but everyone says real-world experience is the best for learning for someone her age." Todoroki looked at him incredulously.

"How did she even know that word?" he asked. Izuku gave a shy chuckle.

"Well, I'm pretty far ahead in my studies and I like to teach her medical terms in my spare time." suddenly realizing that Izuku should introduce himself he scratched the back of his neck with his free hand.

"I know you probably don't care but I'm Momiko Hisashi and this is Momiko Ari." he offered his hand which the other teen hesitantly took.

"Todoroki Shouto." He sounded so tired when he said it, like he already knew what was going to come from Izuku next.

But he was not prepared for the sympathetic hiss that came from Izuku. That was definitely a new reaction to someone finding out he was the son of Endeavor.

"You poor bastard. Endeavor must be a bitch of a father." Todoroki's head snapped towards him.

"Wha-"

Eri cut him off. "Nii-san! You're not supposed to say those words!" she scolded with an accusing finger. "I've told you a bunch of times to stop talking like that!"

Her scolding only earned a laugh from Izuku.

"Anyways, if you want to you can join this total stranger and his sister as they go to the park. Helping to get the neighborhood moms off my back about spending too much time alone, but only if you say yes." Izuku didn't know why he was inviting Tododroki along but maybe if he said yes then he could learn a little more about the boy.

Todoroki considered it for a while before shrugging. "Sure, it wouldn't hurt I guess. You and Ari-san are nice enough."

"Yay!" Eri cheered clapping in excitement.

"Alright! I just need to pick up something from the store right there then we can head over to the park!" Todoroki nodded and stepped out of the way. Setting Eri down she grabbed his hand once again and started talking about how cool underground heroes were. Todoroki trailing along behind them silently.
