Chapter 1
Far, far away from Trollstopia, near a huge forest, there was a magnificent place. Something that was supposed to be an auditorium and a bar. It was called “Your five minutes”. It could be read from a huge neon from above the front door. The place was colorful, considering its location next to the dark creepy forest. It was even creepier, since it was now night time. All of the sudden, some mysterious troll creeped out from the shadows of earlier said forest. The face of this stranger wasn’t revealed. The cape the troll was wearing, hid their face in the dark. Making its way to the colorfull place, the troll seemed tense. The way they moved only proved that, as they were approaching the entrance. When they found themselves standing before the huge door, with golden notes drawn on it, they reached for their belt and put out a staff with a violin key at the top of it. Without even touching the entryway, they opened the door with some magic, which was coming from that wand. As soon as the door opened, the music got louder. When the mystery troll walked into the building, the first thing they did was lose the cape. It was revealed that this troll was greyish pink with light purple hair and blue eyed. It was a woman with majestic, glittering makeup. She looked miserable. She didn’t even smile. As she walked further to the main room, she listened to the singing, which was coming from the main room, auditorium. When she approached that place, she saw lot’s of other trolls watching the performance. They were definitely not bored, because the girl on the stage was really giving everything. The performer was the colour of baby blue, maybe something more navy. Her hair were light yellow colour, and her eyes were also blue, really similar to her skin tone. Her sparkling, black jumpsuit was a huge contrast to her soft appearance. The song that she was singing, also wasn’t something that a woman that just entered, would see her with.
I'm not catastrophizing Everything's derailing
Was only tryna hold you close While your heart was failing
She sang so gracefully, but at the same time with a huge emotional charge. Mysterious troll stood there for a second and then walked towards the other room, which was a bar.
It's not internet illusions Just two kids going through it
You said I'm too late to be your first love
But I'll always be your favorite
The music was getting quieter. In another room there were few people, who were staring at the screens.
-See that! Told ya this girl had potential! - One of the male trolls commented, as on the screen was shown a female troll performer, who was said now to be a top artist. Mysterious troll sat next to the counter, and waited for a bartender. She could still hear the song from the auditorium. She had to admit, the girl had a huge talent. She was young, but full of spirit and experience. That is at least what that song she sang was telling about her.
I'm a hot topic on your tongue
I'm a rebound gettin' 'round, stealin' from the young
Tell me who I am, guess I don't have a choice
All because I liked a boy
Mysterious troll frowned, and kept looking at the bartender, who finally showed up. -Can I get anything for you, miss? - Young girl, with two curly, purple buns, pink skin and irreplaceable smile asked sweetly. She also had glittery make up, although it was more of a disco vibe. She had on herself a pair of long, wide leg jeans with stars, and white bodysuit. - I can offer you many variants of drinks. From sweet to sour, which from that I think sweet is your jam.
-The usual, thank you. - Mysterious girl said, smiling shyly, feeling a bit overwhelmed. Young girl frowned at the order.
-Right, the usual…the usuuuuaaal…- She was saying awkwardly. - What exactly is that, m’am?
Mysterious troll was just about to answer, when someone overtook her to it.
-Strawberry milkshake with cotton candy. Am I right? - Another woman walked in with a smile on her face. - Greetings, Viola.
She handed the mystery troll her order, and kept smiling.
-Thank you. - Viola replied politely, taking a sip of her drink.
-Megs, you have a ten minute break. - The older bartender said. She maybe wasn’t too much older, but she definitely was more experienced. She had those beautiful magenta locs, which were covered by the red bandana with black hearts. Her skin was the colour of peachy orange. She had the star drawn on her face.
-Ay, Ay Captain! - Megs playfully did a salute. Bartender chuckled, and when the girl left, she turned to Viola.
- Haven’t seen you there for a long time.
-I’ve got some business I had to take care of. You know, with all that was going on. Someone needs to take care of it. - Mysterious troll said bashfully, playing with the straw that was put in her drink.
-Thanks muses for that! For a moment I was convinced they captured you. - Bartender said, wiping the counter with a cloth that was earlier wrapped around her waist. Viola was surprised by the bartender 's statement.
-Huh?
From her hair, the bartender pulled up a piece of paper. It contained a picture of Viola, and a writing “wanted” was put right under it. Viola looked at the card dismayed.
-They were looking for you. Left those pieces of trash everywhere. I obviously told them to go bother someone else. They weren't exactly happy. After I convinced them that I didn't know you, they told me to inform the ones in the grand theatre, If I would have ever seen you.
-Oh no…
-Of course, I'm not gonna sell you out. I think that this whole thing is cruel and unfair. They shouldn't put you in jail for something you didn't even do.
Viola was staring blankly at the piece of paper. She couldn't think straight. She got up from her seat, to the surprise of a bartender, and covered herself with her cape.
-I gotta get out of here. - She said nervously, snatching the piece of paper from a counter and crumpling it, with written panic on her face.
-Wait! They are gone now. I don't think they will come back in sometime.-Bartender assured her.
-It’s too risky to stay here.
-Can you at least tell me where you are going? I would’ve helped you, you know.
Viola went quiet. She did everything to not look the bartender in the eye. With a heavy sigh the manager of a bar reached out to her messy locs, and pulled out a piece of felt. -If you really want to hide, I suggest you go to no troll’s land. No one has been there for ages, ever since K-pop trolls left. I doubt they will look there. - Bartender was speaking quietly. She pointed at the beige area on the map. - To get there, you have to get through the folklore trolls village and then swim across the big lake of harmony. Viola processed everything in her head. She hoped that this solution would be the best one. It’s not like she had any other choice.
-Can I take that map? - She asked the bartender.
-Sure. You will definitely need it. - Viola hid a map in her hair, and was now ready to leave.
-Thank you. I owe you big time.
-You owe me nothing. I can’t stand by the side of the ones that are unfair. - Viola was now turned back and all ready to leave. Before that however, the bartender asked her one more thing. - Will I ever see you again?
-We will see...- She said looking back at her. Before the bartender could respond, Viola already escaped. Bartender sighed, and watched, as the mystery troll was running away. She was regretting everything she said.
-Hey, Millie! Check this out! - Megs came back in, with her silly mood present. She put spoons on her ears and nose. - I’m a spoon troll! Beware! Megs immediately noticed the empty seat, milkshake left on a counter and the bad mood of her manager. -Where is the “usual” lady? - She asked, however didn’t receive an answer. Meanwhile, Viola, feeling more and more scared as she took another step, was walking through the auditorium. The girl was still performing. The words of her song now hit harder than ever.
Tell me who I am, guess I don't have a choice All because I liked a boy
And all of this for what? When everything went down, we'd already broken up
Please, tell me who I am, guess I don't have a choice All because I liked a boy
Viola left the building, and gasped for air. The tears were forming in her eyes. She could still hear the music that was playing inside the bar.
A boy
She reached for her hair, and put out of it a music box. A boy She looked at it, and hesitated. The next thing she knows…
All because I liked a boy...
She smashed the music box, by a tree and ran away the fastest she could.
