A Fallen Angel's Heart (Yoshimaru)
A brand new season
Yet I would carry with me
an unchanging heart
Bound with lock and key
Fear bounds me like cold brass chains
The key far from reach.
Where lies its freedom
But along the bright crescent
Of her endless smile?
She stares yet ahead
Possibilities unnamed;
To where I can't see.
I follow behind.
I even stand at her side.
Yet she pays no mind.
For she does not know
Of her most heinous misdeed
Of caging my heart.
Am I cursed to fate?
To see the seasons change, but
stay stagnant within?
Perhaps if I changed
It could be different now
If the slate was clean.
Be it an angel,
Or mortal walking the earth
Would I have the key?
The great Yohane
The regular Yoshiko
Would either show worth?
Will Hanamaru,
the keeper of my caged heart
set my feelings free?
With thoughts of freedom
I still feel myself tremble
Faced with my one fear.
With both lock and key,
will she leave me holding both?
Caged with no keeper?
Perhaps this is fine
Both halves of me bound in brass
Left without the key.
Seasons with their change
With my unwavering heart
Now, forever bound.
With this, I remain
Never fated to fall down.
Never to ascend.
