"And you press this key here." A single clack echoes. "Not that one, Zuramaru!"
Yoshiko huffed exasperatedly, leaning away from Hanamaru shoulder. "How do you manage to press the power button every single time?"
Hanamaru chanced a quick glance before staring back down at the lit keys of the laptop. Among them was the brightest button of them all, and it drew her finger in. "It's the brightest button, zura."
"That's not a good answer!" Yoshiko all but yelled, looking away with a long sigh. They've been in this library all afternoon trying to familiarize her with a new laptop given by the school director. For 'library purposes,' but she knew Mari expected something like this to happen.
Taking a composing breath, Yoshiko moved back over, settling a hand on her shoulder. "Okay, let's try again. What do we not press?"
"...The power button, zura." Hanamaru answered with a sad tone, the untouched button missing attention. Yoshiko nodded, then pointed at the screen.
"Good. Now, turn it on." The simplest step, it couldn't go wrong.
After a minute, the screen was still black. Yoshiko stared blankly, then looked down at Hanamru. Did she fall asleep or something? "Uh, Zuramaru? What's wrong?"
With all the blunt honesty at her disposal, Hanamaru answered. "You said not to press the power button, zura."
Yoshiko blinked, then her hand collided with her palm as she expelled a long sigh. This was going to be a long afternoon.
