Katsuki runs his hands through his hair as Shinsou leans his head against the back of the couch, letting out a sigh.
“We should really get a wedding planner for this.” Shinsou looks over to the blonde, looking back up at the ceiling before agreeing with him.
“I didn’t think planning for a wedding would be this,” Shinsou motions to all of the papers scattered across their coffee table and the open computer. “Difficult.” Katsuki smirks at him, leaning over and kissing him on the cheek.
“Why don’t we take your dad’s advice and call up the wedding planner he suggested?” Shinsou smiles as Katsuki kisses lower, grazing his jaw with his lips, making Shinsou shiver. Katsuki moves, straddling Shinsou’s lap and giving him a smirk as the other man places his hands on the blonde’s hips. “Let’s take a break from all of this,” He continues to kiss Shinsou’s neck, nibbling and making the other man breathe harder. “We can call the wedding planner tomorrow.”
Shinsou smirks, his hands slipping under Katsuki’s shirt as he moves to capture the blonde’s lips with his. Katsuki smirks as he bites Shinsou’s bottom lip, moving to pull off his shirt when someone knocks at the door. Katsuki groans loudly as he removes himself from his fiance’s lap, Shinsou smirking as he walks to the door.
“Don’t be so impatient, babe.” Katsuki just glares at him as he opens the door, revealing Mina’s curly mop of hair.
“Hi boys! Did I come at a bad time?” Mina smiles as Hagakure rolls her eyes, her iridescent hair shimmering in the mid-day sun.
“I would say you did.” Mina giggles as Katsuki crosses his arms, making her way inside and flopping on the couch next to him. Hagakure gives Shinsou an apologetic smile as she walks inside, letting him close the door behind her.
“What brings you guys here?” Hagakure perches herself on the arm of the couch, tapping Mina on her shoulder and motioning to Shinsou.
“Oh! We came to help with the wedding planning!” Katsuki raises an eyebrow as Hagakure rests her chin on her hand, making a face. “What? Isn’t that what we came for?”
“No darling, it’s not.” Mina purses her lips as Hagakure pulls her bag out of thin air, digging through it and pulling out a box no bigger than the palm of her hand. “Katsuki will know what this is, but you do not Hitoshi.” She opens the lid, pulling out two arm bands made of what looked like fish scales. “I hope you do not mind, but while you were visiting family, I was able to procure scales from the both of you.” Katsuki leans forward, taking the box from Hagakure and running a thumb over the dark purple scales of the band.
“What are those for?” Shinsou’s confusion is palpable as Hagakure smiles, reaching over and taking the red scale band from the box. She rubs the scales tenderly with her thumb before reaching over and taking Shinsou’s hand .
“It’s a tradition amongst sirens. They gather scales from both of their tales, then they have an elder weave them into bands that they exchange on their union day.” Shinsou takes the band from Hagakure, running a thumb over each individual scale.
“These are really Katsuki’s scales?” Shinsou’s purple eyes meet Katsuki’s red ones, the blond smiles and nods.
“I wanted to bring you these to see if you wanted to incorporate a little siren tradition into your wedding.” Shinsou immediately starts nodding, handing the band back to Hagakure as she smiles. “Wonderful! Have you decided who is going to marry the both of you?”
“Not yet. We’re planning on calling a wedding planner that one of Shinsou’s dads suggested.” Katsuki lets Hagakure take the band from him as she nods. “Were you going to ask if you could officiate it?”
“I wasn’t going to push it, but I do have the human documents for marrying humans.” Katsuki smiles as Shinsou laughs a bit.
“We would love for you to marry us, Tooru.” Hagakure stands, hugging Shinsou before he can stand up.
“I’ll make sure to incorporate traditional human and siren themes for the wedding!” Katsuki raises an eyebrow as the bubbly witch pulls a notebook out, flipping to a clean page and starts jotting down notes. “Are you wanting to write your own vows, or are you wanting traditional ones?” Katsuki cocks his head to the side, looking at Shinsou for a response.
“I was thinking about writing my own,” Shinsou’s cheeks grow red as he looks to Katsuki. “What about you babe?” Katsuki chews on the inside of his bottom lip, thinking about if he’d be able to put any of his emotions into words without embarrassing himself at their own wedding. “Babe?”
“Yeah, I’m okay with that. Let’s write our own vows.” Hagakure smiles, jotting down more notes in her mystery notebook as Mina pulls out her phone.
“Hitoshi, check your phone! Momo is wanting us to come to the bar tonight!” Shinsou pulls out his phone as Katsuki slips into his thoughts, already thinking about what his vows should say.
“We don’t have anything else planned, so it should be fine. What do you think babe?” Mina nudges Katsuki’s shoulder with hers, making him jump a bit.
“You okay Kat? You’ve been uncharacteristically quiet.” Mina quirks an eyebrow and Katsuki just glares at her.
“I’m fine, just thinking. I do have a wedding coming up.” Mina waves him off as Shinsou smiles, typing a message on his phone. “But yeah, going to the bar sounds great.” Shinsou hits send, his phone makes the little sending noise as Hagakure packs away her notebook, slipping off the couch again.
“We’ll see you guys tonight then! I have to start reading up on different wedding traditions!” Mina slips off the couch and waves goodbye to the guys as she follows Hagakure out the front door.
“They really know how to show up at the wrong time.” Katsuki says, still looking at the door like he expects the girls to walk back in. “Wanna pick up-” The blonde jumps a bit when he finds Shinsou standing in front of him, a hungry look on his face.
“I most definitely want to pick up where we left off.” Katsuki lets out an embarrassing yelp as Shinsou leans down and practically picks him up, taking him to their bedroom.
********************************
Hitoshi holds the door open for Bakugou, kissing him on the cheek as he walks into the bar.
“Hey there, lovebirds!” Jirou waves to them from the bar, Todoroki turning to look at the both of them with a smile.
“Hey guys! Where’s everyone else?” Jirou motions to the propped open back door, wiping out a glass.
“They were chilling in the side lot last I saw. I’m almost finished cleaning, so we can head out pretty soon.” Hitoshi nods, patting Todoroki on the shoulder as they pass by him towards the back door. He hears Mina’s laughter before he pushes the door open, finding the whole gang chilling around their cars as music plays from Kaminari’s car.
“Hey guys!” Momo slips an arm around Hitoshi’s waist, giving him a side hug before giving Bakugou one as well. “I’m glad you both could make it!”
“What’s the plan for tonight?” He watches as Momo turns to Midoriya, sharing a look before giving him a shrug.
“You’ll see.” Hitoshi narrows his eyes at her, about to say something when Jirou and Todoroki walk out the back door.
“Bar is all clean and closed, ready to go?” Everyone cheers in agreement, packing up any chairs they had out and packing up their cars. “You guys wanna ride with me and Momo?” Bakugou beats Hitoshi to an answer, opening the backdoor of their car and slipping inside. Jirou smiles as Hitoshi walks around to the other side, slipping in beside his fiance and fastening his seatbelt.
They pull out of the parking space, following everyone else as they head towards the beach; Hitoshi raises an eyebrow in confusion.
“We could have just met you guys at the beach if that’s where we’re going.” Momo turns to look at him from the passenger seat, giving him a look as Jirou snickers.
“Can’t you just deal with it being a surprise?” Hitoshi just crosses his arms making Bakugou laugh as he places a hand on his thigh and gives it a squeeze. Hitoshi looks over to the blond, giving him a small smile as he moves his arm to hold his hand. Hitoshi looks out the window as they pull into the parking lot by the pier, furrowing his eyebrows when he sees all of the tiki torches.
“I still won’t answer any questions you have. Just go with it.” Hitoshi purses his lips at Momo as they get out of the backseat, Bakugou helping Jirou pull chairs and bags from the trunk. Momo hooks her arm with Hitoshi’s, walking with him to the steps that lead down to the beach, letting him see all of the torches leading to a white tent set up on the beach near the water.
“Momo,” She just gives him a smile as she leads him down the stairs, the rest of the group talking and laughing behind them.
“I know you and Katsuki aren’t the type to have a bachelor party or anything, so we all thought we’d pitch in to celebrate your love. You guys deserve it.” Hitoshi smiles, his eyes starting to water as he turns to the tent, finding Kirishima and Tokoyami standing by the entrance.
“Hey Toshi!” Momo looks a little confused as they get closer to the pair, Tokoyami walking over and giving Hitoshi a hug. “Little birdy told us there was a party tonight. It’s good to see you Momo.” Tokoyami holds a hand out to her, she hesitates before taking it.
“Hello Tokoyami,” She looks to Hitoshi, as if asking him, ‘what the hell is this guy doing here?’
“Long story, but we made up.” Hitoshi motions over to Kirishima, giving him a quick handshake as he looks to Momo. “I’d like you to meet Kirishima, he’s Fumi’s new boyfriend.”
“Oh!” Momo gives the red head a smile as she shakes his hand, everyone else joining them.
“Eiji!” Mina drops her chairs and practically tackles him in a hug. “I’m so glad you two could make it!” Kirishima only laughs as he spins her around, Bakugou walking over and patting him on the shoulder. The group introduces themselves to Kirishima, a few of them giving Tokoyami a hug before they all walk into the tent.
“Alright everyone, setup where you want to sit! Ochako and Tsu are bringing the food and refreshments and then we can get this party rolling!” Everyone cheers as Momo steers Bakguou and Hitoshi towards the front of the tent, pointing them towards a pair of comfy looking chairs. They get situated as Uraraka and Tsuyu walk in carrying pizza boxes and bags of soda, Kaminari and Tetsutetsu walking out of the tent to get the rest of the food.
The group grabs food and drinks, settling in and talking about things that have happened in the last year; everyone catching up with Tokoyami as he talks about being in rehab.
“He’s technically not wrong.” Bakugou says, taking a sip of mountain dew and giving it a look. “Have I not tried this one yet?”
“You always go for the blue one, that’s the original.” Bakugou nods, taking another sip before eating some pizza and listening to Kirishima talk about how his parents are doing. Hitoshi watches everyone, joining in on the conversation occasionally, but mostly just enjoying the moment.
Momo slips out of her seat, everyone quieting down as she walks to stand in front of the group.
“So, I wanted to bring everyone together in a little celebration of love. I consider you all family and I thought we should come together as a family and celebrate Hitoshi and Katsuki.” Hitoshi can feel his face growing warm as Bakugou takes his hand, lacing their fingers together. “I wanna say a few words, if that’s okay Toshi.”
“Yeah, go for it.” He runs a hand through his hair, more embarrassed from how strained his voice sounds. Momo only smiles as she sets her solo cup on one of the fold out tables.
“So, Hitoshi. I’ve known you my entire life it seems. We’ve gone to the same schools since we were babies, we were neighbors for a really long time too.” Hitoshi nods as Jirou and a few others giggle. “When you started dating Fumikage, I was really happy for you. I thought you had found the one for you and I was going to stand by any decision you made no matter what.” Hitoshi looks over to Tokoyami, watching as his face drops a bit, turning to Kirishima to say something.
“After everything that happened between the two of you, I didn’t think I’d ever see you actually smile again. Then you met Katsuki and you’ve smiled every day since then.” Momo stops, wiping her face as Hitoshi walks over to her, giving her a hug. “What I’m trying to say is that, I’m just so happy that you’ve found someone who makes you whole. You deserve the entire world Toshi.” Hitoshi hugs her a little tighter, failing at fighting back his own tears.
“Thank you Momo, I really appreciate this and everything you’ve done for me over the years.” Momo smiles as she pulls away, wiping her eyes and turning to the rest of the group.
“Alright guys, anyone else want to say something to the happy couple?” Jirou raises her hand, slipping out of her chair to stand in front of everyone.
It went like that for a little while longer, everyone sharing funny stories and their thoughts on the two of them. Mina had eventually hooked up her phone to a portable speaker, and by the end of the night, Hitoshi and Bakugou were slow dancing near the edge of the tent.
“Toshi,” Hitoshi hums, turning his head and kissing Bakugou’s cheek. “I love you.” Hitoshi smiles, moving so he can see his fiance’s face.
“I love you too, Katuski.” Bakugou smiles, reaching up and kissing him on the lips; Hitoshi lets his hands slip down to the blond’s waist as Bakugou cradles his face.
“This sounds so stupidly sappy, but I’m happy you chose me.” Hitoshi smiles, kissing him softly on the lips as the song comes to an end.
“There was no one else I’d rather be with.” He says softly as a faster paced song kicks up, Mina letting out an excited ‘Woo!’ and starting to dance with Hagakure. “Let’s go join them.” Bakugou nods as Hitoshi leads him back over to the group, enjoying the rest of the party.
