Quirks
Bakugou had always respected his mother. She was strong, smart and talented. She was someone he looked up to. Someone he trusted. Someone he aspired to be like.
But now that all changed. After that one night, nothing was ever the same. He found her disgusting, sly and worst of all, terrifying. Fear is something the boy did not like. It was a sign of weakness according to him.
The blonde sat himself at the dining table. He then glanced over at the woman who was currently feeding……. The boy squinted his eyes at the other girl. What was her name? pinky cheeks? Ah no it was round face. Right.
The aproned mother suddenly turned towards him and caught him staring. She smiled softly at first, but her eyes portrayed an emotion only Bakugou would understand. Amusement. Mirth. He snarled back with vigor. The *** hag (she no longer deserved the honor of being called his mother) found his fear funny.
She ignored him and went on stuffing the child next to her with sweet words and cake. The idiot seemed to eat it all up eagerly.
Bakugou had lost his appetite. He pushed himself away from the table.
He had had enough of this. He needed to tell someone. Someone he could trust.
The deku was so *** stupid that he wanted to smack him.
The greenette seemed to sense what he was thinking and responded by looking very offended.
“Kaachan that’s not very nice.”
The ash blonde just growled out in frustration. “I didn’t even say anything yet”
The calmer of the two nodded in agreement.” True, but I can tell what you’re thinking.”
Bakugou just rolled his eyes as the other continued to scribble in an old tattered book.
“What even are you writing?” he said grumpily, as he flipped through some books mindlessly. This wasn’t the time to be writing something. They should just tie the *** hag to a chair or something and interrogate her. The stupid deku here however, doesn’t seem to realize that writing gibberish in an old notebook isn’t going to threaten the creepy woman.
The other looked up and responded with a cheerful smile.” I’m trying to figure out how they’re suppressing our quirks. If we could be able to control them then we can make proper use of them in our escape.”
The blonde boy scoffed at that. “That’s what you’re doing. Just how stupid are you?”
Izuku frowned. “Well have you figured it out Kaachan?”
Katsuki smirked. “Of course, I have. I’m smart.”
“Well then, what is it?”
“Our food has obviously been drugged with quirk suppressants.” The red eyed boy waited for the other to praise him but scowled when he saw the deku looking at him pityingly.
“What, you have a problem with my hypothesis?”
The greenette had the audacity to sigh.” Kaachan. Our mother eats the same food as us and drinks the same water as well. If the food had been drugged as you had suggested, then Mama wouldn’t have been able to use her quirk either.”
Bakugou raised an eyebrow at that. “And what exactly make you think that the hag actually has a quirk?”
The other looked down at his notebook. “Well, it’s highly unlikely that they trusted a quirkless human with taking care of and securing 20 other children with quirks.” Izuku then looked up at him “Wouldn’t you agree?”
The ash blonde just growled in response as he leaned back in his chair and shut his eyes. As much as he hated to admit it, the nerd had a point. But something told Bakugou that it was drug. Something that the old woman had tricked them into eating. Just exactly was it?
The boy ran his hands through his hair in frustration. Perhaps it was something they ate, and the bandicoot didn’t? But that would be impossible, she ate everything they did. Of course, except for the….
The boy’s eyes flew open and he snapped back up. Oh, how could he have been so stupid?
“Oi, oi Deku!” the ash blonde yelled aloud in excitement as he banged his palms on the table. The other’s muttering stopped abruptly (thank god for that) and he looked at his friend bewildered.
“The candy!”
The idiot blinked for a good few moments, in confusion. Bakugou wanted to bang his head on the table.
“The candy she gives us whenever we did something good!” The deku’s eye’s widened and he stood there agape, before going on to frantically scribble things down in his notebook. The mumbling continued as well but was soon cut short by Bakugou’s screaming.
“Ah sorry Kaachan”
Bakugou grinned, despite his annoyance. Finally. Finally, he had gained something over the old coot.
“Come on deku. We have some things to take care of.”
