Prologue
A/N: Please know this has mentions of Kinich’s and Heizou’s in game lore. They are not completely accurate; times, dates, ages. Mentions of death and technical racism.

This is a prologue to the story
Journal Entry 194 – February, 23rd, 2019 – 1:05 PM
Today has been going differently from normal. Kazuha and I were talking before class started, he mentioned that we were getting a new classmate. Soon, the teacher introduced us to the boy, Kinich.. He has these beautiful eyes, but they seemed dull. He wore raggy clothes and he had scars on his face. During break time, kids were bullying him, calling him “Monkey” and “Lizard eyes”.. I stood up for him. He looked even better up close. We became friends, hopefully all my new friends aren’t as bad as my old friend..

Brother said that my journal writing has seemed to be helping me get over *Radicated*which I agree with. I miss Kinich already, he was really nice and his eyes seemed to light up as we talked.

Today me and Kinich ate lunch together! Kazuha was out sick so I hung around Kinich instead. At recess we hid from the bullies and read a book, he leaned on my shoulder most of the time. My heart was beating fast and I still don’t understand why..
Journal Entry 289 – August, 18th, 2019 – 8:35 AM
I didn’t write this summer, but my brother told me not to. Today is the first day of 6th grade. I didn’t see Kinich a few weeks into the summer and he isn’t here at school, so I'm starting to worry.
Journal Entry 290 – August, 19th, 2019 – 11:20 AM
I asked my teacher about Kinich today, she told me that.. That he moved away. How could he just leave and not tell me?! Why does this alway happen with my friends! First *Radicated* LIES about his wealth to me and then DIES and now my best friend LEAVES and doesn’t think about even TELLING me.. I can’t really be mad at Kinich, can I? He probably had no choice.. I hope he comes back one day, that would make me happy. He is really pretty and sweet.. I hope he gets out of his home situation.
Journal Entry 291 – August, 20th, 2019 – 4:00pm
They finally put it on the news, what happened during the summer. They kept it hidden for a while, I still don’t understand why. Kinich’s father died, he fell off a cliff. They say Kinich dragged his body back home. No wonder all those police cars were near the cliff. They said Kinich got adopted since his mother’s whereabouts are unknown. There were no more details. I’ll spend my whole life trying to find him.. Even if it takes forever.
A/N: Okay.. time to sort out the math. 2019 - 2025 err… thats 6 years. So 365 + 1 because of the leap year, so 366 x 6 is 2,196 days. But that's the end year so we need to subtract uh.. 115 which is 2081 days. Now add 291 + 2081 which iss 2372 :3. So timeskip to present, using the date i'm writing this at I fear, March 25 SHIT I DID THE MATH WRONG. Okay subtract 123 and yew get 2073 NOW add 291.. 2,364 entries. So March 25, 2025. 11th grade YAYAY. Pretend he did write during the summer after this year because I can do that, I'm the author.
Journal Entry 2,364 – March, 25, 2025 – 8:00 AM
It's been 6 years since he left. I’ve forgotten his face almost completely, all I remember is his eyes. I haven’t been able to find who adopted him or any of his social media. All the old police things about what happened were removed due to people leaving the town in fear another would die. I have copies of everything. They never showed his face on any records, though. I still love him, I realized that after me and Kazuha broke up. I hope one day he comes back.. All these nights of thinking and doing research is starting to hurt. Aether said we were having new students soon.. I wonder who they are.
