Chapter 11
On Monday morning, Kara walked into CatCo just as she normally did. A cup of coffee in one hand, her bag on her shoulder, her hair tied up and her glasses on her face. However, when she walked in she noticed everyone staring at her. Trying to figure out why everyone was staring, she walked over to Nia’s desk. “Hey, Nia. Why’s everyone looking at me?”
“Someone bought you flowers.” Nia replied with a smile.
“What?”
“There’s flowers in your office. Everyone wants to know who they’re from.” Nia explained.
“Wait…How many flowers are there?” Kara started walking towards her office, Nia following along behind her. “Last time I got flowers from someone…Oh no, not again.” She said as they arrived. Her office was overflowing with flowers again.
“Again?! Who could possibly afford – Lena! Lena did this?” She speculated.
“I think so.” She sighed. “Can you see a card anywhere?” They entered Kara’s office and started looking through all the flowers trying to find the card.
“Ah ha. Got it.”

Kara,
You will always be my best friend.

“Of course.” Kara sighed happily after reading the card out loud to her friend.
“What are they for?”
“I think it’s for telling her my secret.”
Nia picked up a red rose. “Does she realise that there are other ways to say thank you?”
“I’m not sure.” They both looked around for a few moments before Kara tried to clear some space on her desk.
“They are beautiful flowers.” Nia said as she helped Kara.
“Here.” Kara handed her a bunch of flowers. “Take some with you. I have more than I know what to do with.” Nia smiled, said thank you, and walked out of Kara’s office.
“So…My office is overflowing with flowers…again.”
“Really?” Lena turned to look at Kara. “Who could have done that?”
Kara hugged her in response. “You didn’t have to do that, but thank you. They’re beautiful.”
Lena smiled. “I’m glad you like them.”
“Now.” She started. “No more sending flowers to my office. People are starting to think I have a secret admirer. And Nia isn’t helping with that.” Kara says playfully.
Lena laughs. “She does know they’re from me though, right?”
“She does, but she thought it would be fun to add to the rumours.”
“Yes, that sounds very much like Nia.” Kara and Lena spend lunch talking about more Supergirl things. Lena had thought of more questions to ask the superhero, and of course Kara answered them truthfully.
