Summary
It was just supposed to be a normal patrol. The only thing out of the ordinary was that Aizawa was expanding his perimeters. The crime rate has been steadily increasing recently, which means a lot more heroes are getting hurt and put out of commission, so Aizawa was picking up the slack. All he wanted was to go back to his house and drink some nice lavender tea with Yamada, but no. He had to be out here, while it's snowing no less. Don't get him wrong, he knows it's his job, but that doesn't mean he has to like it. It was when he was about to reach the end of his new route when he heard the screaming. He look around him cautiously, trying to figure out the direction it was coming from, when he pinpointed a small building. It was nothing special, in fact it was more rundown than anything. It was short and dirty, but that didn't stop the loud cries from pouring out. Aizawa certainly wasn't expecting to head home that night only to start telling Yamada that he needed a police report and to adopt 20 kids as soon as possible.

The kids Panic! at the Disco and Midnight drives a party bus

POV: Hizashi

The first thing his husband did was call the cops. After demanding to be put on the line with Tsukauchi, he was able to get multiple cop cars brought to the orphanage so they could transport the children. Along with that, he begrudgingly called Nemuri, as most likely was going to need help with all of kids.

Speaking of the kids, they had stayed eerily silent the whole time as they waited for the cops to show up, which surprised both Hizashi and Aizawa, for they were expecting to get loads of questions about what was happening, but they had stayed quiet in the time it took for the police to get here.

But only until then.

For the second that sirens were heard in the distance, it was as if someone had set off a bomb. Suddenly 19 children, as the girl who Izuku called Momo was still in his arms, scrambled past him, and were trying to cram into a door down the hallway. Aizawa had already almost fallen over twice from the stampede, desperately trying not to send both himself and the girl in his arms down to the floor, but Yamada managed to pluck one of the kids from out of the crowd.

It was the proud looking blond boy from earlier, who had the long gloves up to his elbows on. This time, instead of boasting loudly to him, was kicking and squirming in his hold as he was lifting him up from his shirt collar.

"Let me go you bastard!"

"Why are you all trying to go into that room down there?" The last few stragglers were still piling in down the hall as he heard multiple shouts and yells from the inhabitants inside.

"It's the safe room!" Hizashi hadn't even noticed the red-haired boy standing in front of him, it was almost of if he just popped up from a different dimension,"It's where we go when the bad guys are coming! Miss Emiri and Miss Sasaki always ran drills to make sure we did it right!"

That definitely wasn't normal, not to mention that these kids believed that the cops were the bad guys. Did they even think that heroes were the good guys at this point? To Hizashi's slight horror, when he looked back down the hall to where the room was, two boys were carrying Emiri into the room with them. One of them had a tail sprouting from his lower back which was binded at a painful looking angle, and the other was a strong looking boy and spiky brown hair with a mask over his mouth, each with one of Emiri's arms over their shoulders.

Turning his attention back to the children in front of him,"You guys hide from the cops?"

"The bad guys!" The blond boy, still hanging by the scruff of his shirt, corrected him.

"The police aren't the bad guys here, they're only here to help and keep you safe."

"Liar! Now put me down!"

Nodding to Aizawa, Hizashi silently told him to wait here for the police. He then put the boy he was holding back down and followed them into the door down the hall.

Entering the room after the two kids, he took in his surroundings. It was very small, smaller than the lobby, but looked like a panic room of sorts. The walls were completely coated in a silver steel, with a large keypad on the back of the door, which acted as the only entrance and exit. All 19 of the kids, plus Emiri, were crammed in there shoulder to shoulder, barely fitting in.

"Wait! You can't close the door yet, Momo is still out there! So is Miss Sasaki!" It was the girl who looked like a frog, she had weights on her ankles and a mask over her face, but it didn't hinder her ability to speak, unlike Hitoshi.

"I don't think we should close the door at all kiddos, the police are here to help us!" Hizashi couldn't help but to look over at the unconscious Emiri, hoping that she wouldn't wake up anytime soon. If the kids absolutely refused to come out, there wasn't much they could do, as he didn't want to force the poor things. All Might knows that they've been through enough.

"B-but monsieur~! We must to close the door! It's much too dangerous otherwise!" Looking down Hizashi saw a little boy with shiny blond hair, who wore a thick metal strap around his stomach. Sighing, he straightened back up, he would have to get it in these kids' heads that they weren't going to be in danger ever again, not if Hizashi could help it.

What would his husband do in this situation?

"Do the people here ever punish you?"

A hush fell over the room as all eyes landed on Present Mic, no one daring to answer for a moment, until the girl with the clothes completely covering her body, ski mask and all, except for her invisible eyes spoke up.

"We're only punished when we're bad! Like if we don't finish a meal in time or walk too slow!"

Shivers went down his body. Oh boy, Detective Tsukauchi was going to have a field day working on this case. Looking around the room, he had all 19 eyes peering at him. Even Hitoshi, who was still sobbing about believing he was in trouble and holding onto the boy with bright blond hair with a black streak through it, was staring right at him.

Hizashi bent down in front of the invisible girl, and lightly put a hand on her shoulder, even though she flinched at the action.

"You are never going to be punished for things like that ever again, okay? You are all good kids, and you don't deserve the things that have been done to you. Miss Emiri and Miss Sasaki hurt you all even though you didn't deserve it."

"But we did deserve it!"

"No, you don't." Sighing, Yamada decided that this was the best thing he could offer,"What if I promise you guys lots of food if you come with us? Eraserhead and I will be right by your side the whole time, and I'm pretty sure that Midnight is going to show up too!"

He hated having to bribe them, but it worked none the less. If the food hadn't convinced them before, the promise of Midnight making an appearance definitely piqued their interests. Just in time too, as the voices of multiple police offers echoed down the hallway, followed by Aizawa coming into the room.

"The police are here, are you going to-"

"Is Midnight here?"

"He promised us food!"

"Ooo I hope it's hot food!"

"Yeah! We didn't eat dinner!"

His husband sent Yamada an odd look, which he simply returned with a sheepish smile. Aizawa rolled his eyes, sighing,"Midnight will be here soon, and yes, you will get hot food."

A chorus of cheers broke out, all of them seemingly forgetting their fear of the cops. Yamada guessed that no matter what they go through, they're all still kids at heart.

POV: Aizawa

After that, all of them came out of the room as the police raided the place. It was obvious that the children were getting scared again, so they moved to the outside of the orphanage after handing Emiri and Sasaki over to the authorities. Yamada went over to talk to them, so Aizawa was left with the kids while still holding Momo in his arms. It was snowing, and none of the children had any jackets or warm clothes, so they huddled together for the time being. The girl who looked like a frog passed out when she got in the snow, much to Aizawa worry, but the children reassured him that it was just hibernation as the boy with orange skin tried to warm her up.

"Kouda wants to know where Miss Emiri and Miss Sasaki are going," Looking down he saw the girl with the rolled up earlobes pointing at the boy next to her. He looked oddly like a rock, and also had a mask over his mouth,"He signed it to me."

"They're.." Aizawa didn't know how they would react if he said that they were going to jail, maybe worse, as they barely managed to get the kids out of that panic room,"They're going away for a while, don't worry about it."

The earlobe girl and the boy named Kouda started signing to each other, before they both nodded at Aizawa.

"Hey! You promised Midnight right!? Where is she!" The blond haired boy with an attitude problem was staring Aizawa down, with a mismatched group of kids, supposedly his friends, around him trying to shush the boy.

"I didn't promise anything. Midnight will-"

"Did someone say my name~?"

Speak of the devil, Aizawa couldn't help but to hold in a groan as Nemuri sauntered up to the group. She was in her full hero costume, but her teeth were chattering from the cold.

"Mrs. Midnight!!"

All of the kids were cheering, rapidly asking her questions, which was mostly Izuku, and surrounding her, but she only laughed,"Ahh! Look at these kiddos! The youth of today and the adults of tomorrow! I could just eat you all up!"

Despite her outward demeanor, Aizawa saw the horror in her eyes as she looked at all of the quirk suppressants and manipulation these children had on them, but managed to keep herself composed with a smile.

"You can ask Midnight questions later, it looks like everything is wrapping up." Over on the other side of the building police cars were already leaving as the cops finished clearing out the place, presumably with Emiri and Sasaki in them. Good riddance.

"Yes! I actually planned for that, and brought you....~" She gestured widely behind her with one hand on her hip, and squinting through the darkness he saw a large, obnoxious party bus. It was black with a shimmer of purple, framed by white around the windows and sides, with tinted red glass and among other accents, very reminiscent of her hero costume.

"To transport twenty children, you decided that the best thing to bring.. is your party bus?"

"Yup! It's my biggest car!"

Aizawa wanted to face palm right there, as he couldn't even imagine what kind of sinful stuff has gone down in there. And knowing Nemuri, probably a lot of it. But it's not like he has a better option, and he has to admit that getting a bus that big is much better than driving small groups individually in the cop cars.

All of the kids were staring up at it in wonder, obviously never seeing a bus that big before, and Nemuri shot him a wicked grin as Yamada walked over, obviously catching sight of the bus.

"Alright kiddies, it's time to load on up!"
