Tamaki/Chubby Reader - You're Perfect To Me
You definitely earned your place in the hero course. You pushed yourself harder than most of your classmates. You had built muscle, but you couldn't seem to lose the extra weight. No matter how well you ate, how much you worked out, or the different techniques you tried, you always had that extra layer. You sighed as you looked in the mirror.
Your thighs touched and your love handles poked out over your underwear line. Stretch marks littered your thighs and hips. You turned to the side and scrutinized your stomach, hating how it pooched about a little. You turned back to the front and crossed your arms over your stomach, insecure even when no one else was around. You tugged your shirt on, quickly tying the tie around your neck. You quickly dressed with the rest of your outfit before grabbing a sweater to hide yourself, thankful it was one of the colder spring days. You walked out of your house to see your boyfriend waiting for you. He had his head down and his hands in his pocket, deep in thought. "Tamaki, hey," you said, kissing him on the cheek. He jumped a little, your sudden contact startling him. "O-oh. Hey bu-bunny," he murmured, taking one hand out of his pocket to intertwine it with yours as you walked o school. "A-are you cold?" he asked you, noticing how you curled up into your sweater. "A little," you said, nervously giggling. He moved his hand out of yours and around your shoulders, pulling you closer to him. "Thank you," you whispered, one hand coming up to hold his as his arm was around you shoulder. You knew that he would pull away once you got to school and go back to just holding you hand, but the gesture was still nice.
Once you got to class, you sat down, holding the ends of your sweater. You sort of tuned in on the conversation your friends were having, but you couldn't concentrate with the negative thoughts running around your head. Tamaki watched you, his eyebrows knitted with concern. You were really quiet today, and he didn't know what was wrong. He walked over and leaned down in front of your desk. "B-Bunny? What's wrong?" he quietly asked. You blinked before shaking your head and smiling. "Nothing, Tama. I'm okay," you said, trying to relax your tensed shoulders. He looked in your eyes, choosing to drop the topic even if he knew something was wrong. You probably just didn't want to talk about it yet. He gave you a quick forehead kiss before walking back to his desk, making both of your faces flush red. You bit the inside of your cheek to prevent a massive smile from spreading across your face, and he hid his face in his hands at his desk. Your teacher came in and started class, making you straighten up and pay attention.
You dragged yourself through the rest of the day, never once taking off your sweater. Finally, your last class rolled around, and your were talking with Tamaki, Mirio, and Nejire. "It's supposed to be warm this tomorrow, we should go to the beach!" Nejire said, squealing in excitement. Mirio agreed and the two of them immediately started making plans for tomorrow. It was Saturday tomorrow, so you wouldn't have school. "B-Bunny? Do you w-want to go?" Tamaki asked you, blushing when he looked at you. Your mind raced as you tried to make up an excuse so that they didn't see you in a bathing suit, but you couldn't think of one. "I- sure," you said quietly, giving him a small smile. He nodded and tuned back into the conversation so he didn't miss the plans. You clenched your hands into fists in your lap, trying to push the negative thoughts out of your head. Tamaki won't hate me because of How I look. He's not that shallow. But he could see me and realize I'm not what he wants. And Mirio and Nejire might not want to be associated with the chubby student. You bit your lip to prevent yourself from crying. You inhaled deeply through your nose, calming yourself. Tamaki was watching you, his concern for you overwhelming. He didn't know what was wrong, and you kept pretending like everything was okay. He walked you back home, putting his arm around your shoulder again, hoping to comfort you. You leaned against him a little, appreciating the touch. You stopped in front of your house, smiling at him. "Thanks for walking me home Tama," you said. "I-I walk you home every d-day, you don't have to th-thank me," he said, blushing. "I'm still going to thank you because it's nice," you retorted, giggling. "I'll see you t-tomorrow at 10, bunny," he murmured, kissing you. You smiled into the kiss, happiness bubbling in your chest. You pulled away after a few seconds, turning to go inside. "Bye Tama!" He smiled at the nickname. "Bye, bunny."
***NEXT DAY***
You were staring at yourself in the mirror again. The bathing suit complimented your features, the color contrasting nicely against your skin, but it also revealed your tummy, hips, and stretch marks. You shook your head and slipped on a loose cover-up, trying to ignore the image of yourself in the mirror. You put on your sandals and sunglasses, grabbed your bad, and headed out of your house. You were greeted with the sight of the big three; Mirio had Tamaki in a headlock while Nejire was cheering them on. You started laughing when you got close enough to hear them talking. "Mirio, p-please don't," Tamaki begged, gripping his arm with a slight smile on his face. "Fight me, hero!" Mirio exclaimed, ruffling his hair. "Mirio," Tamaki whined, wriggling out of his grip. He straightened up when he saw you. "Y/N! Are you ready to go?" Mirio asked, a wide smile across his face. You nodded, taking Tamaki's hand. "To the station we go!" Mirio declared, starting to walk in that direction. Nejire walked by his side, and you and Tamaki walked slightly behind them, hands intertwined.
You got to the beach, enjoying his the warm sun felt on your skin. You sighed slightly, following Nejire as she chose a spot on the beach. Mirio threw his things down and ran straight into the water, whooping loudly. Nejire and Tamaki followed, Nejire also being loud and Tamaki begging them do be quieter. You stayed on the shore, settlinf down into a chair to read a book you brought. About an hour later, you squealed when you felt wet droplets on you. You looked up to see your boyfriend kneeling in front of you. He had shaken his hair out to grab your attention, and he was slightly smiling at you. "C-come on bunny, let's go swim," he said, looking up at you. You shook your head slightly. "Do you not w-want to?" Tamaki asked, laying his hand on top of yours. You shrugged, unable to tell him why you didn't want to. "Bunny, please t-talk to me," he pleaded. "You've been upset for d-days, and I don't know h-how to help. P-please talk to me." You looked down at your lap, fighting the tears welling up in your eyes. "Please," he whispered pressing a kiss to your hand.
"I don't like the way my body looks. No matter how hard I try, I'm still chubby and I'm afraid that Mirio and Nejire won't want to be associated with me and I'm scared that if you see how my body looks you'll realize I'm not what you want," you whispering, clenching your fists. You took a deep breath and looked at Tamaki, biting your cheek to prevent yourself from crying. "Oh, bunny," Tamaki whispered, reaching a hand up to rest against your cheek before pulling you into a hug. You hugged him back, holding him tight to you and ignoring the fact that he was soaking wet. "Bunny, n-no matter what you look like, I'll a-always love you. You w-will always be perfect to me," he whispered in your ear, kissing you cheek. "A-and Nejire and Mirio l-love you no matter what too." You squeezed your eyes shut, burying your face in his shoulder. "Thank you," you murmured. He smiled, holding you tighter. "O-of course bunny. Do you st-still want to stay on the shore?" he asked quietly, pressing his forehead against yours. "Let's go swimming," you said, standing up from the chair. He stood with you, watching you as you took off your coverup. You were so perfect. Everything about you was absolutely perfect. "You're so beautiful, bunny," he whispered, pulling you against i=his body and into a deep kiss. You hummed, smiling. He pulled away after enjoying the kiss, blushing heavily. He was startled when you started tugging him towards the water. "Come on Tama, let's go swim!" you exclaimed, secure in the knowledge that no matter what, your friends and your boyfriend loved you for more than what you looked like on the outside.
