rooftop fluff
The two souls sat on the metallic rooftop, the dark swirling sky glistening above, the moon pouring a glow upon them. Fluffy blankets draped over their shoulders, warmth radiating off them into the crisp midnight. Mugs of steaming tea, waiting to be drunk, heated their icy hands. The moon reflected in the warm liquid, rippling halves of a full moon in each. Tired bodies and sore smiling faces, ready for sleep to descend upon them, bad cases of insomnia plaguing the pair. Cookie crumbs strewn across them, reaching from the corners of their frost bitten lips, to their rosy toes. Sounds of shuffling feet and car engines filled the air a slight ringing of club music coursing through the streets. Horns of angry taxi drivers carrying drunks and sleep deprived adults coming home from work honked at the traffic. Yet despite the noise came a peaceful sense. Knowing the world was okay now. After bandaged wounds, tears of salt and sadness were cried. But the tears watered the blossom about to flower, memories feeding the roots, letting it thrive from the past present and thoughts of the future. It was a harmonious sight for all to behold.
