A sunny tomorrow
As Benio sat alone in her room plucking at guitar strings, wondering how to feel. She looked over at the photo of her, Chizuru, and Hinako and smiled fondly at the memories of her club days.
Everything has been a mess the last several months of no sleep and loss of the will to do things. She missed being on stage with her fiance's and… did she have any real friends? She didn't know anymore. So many people stopped talking to her after the accident. She lost count of who all was fake. She looked down at her legs and cursed how stupid she was that day.
Like, really Benio?
You just HAD to try and fix the light yourself cause you were too impatient to wait for the electricians on campus to get there. You thought you knew enough just from watching them work. She was just lucky the nerves in her leg were healing at all. While looking at the photo of the loves of her life she feels her body throb with pain.
She sucks in a breath as she drops the guitar and leans back. She pulls out her phone to check the time to see if she can take more painkillers. She sees that she can, and quickly texts the head maid if she could bring some up. While she waits, she stares at the ceiling pondering what to do with her life from here on out.
There's a chance she'll never walk again. And even if she could, it would never be the same! How would she ever return to acting the way she had been? The long hours she spent just practicing every step for every damned play, the long hours she spent memorizing lines and lyrics to follow in her mother's footsteps; all the time she spent with those women who saw her as nothing more than an object to be worshipped.
...Ok, so maybe what she was doing before wasn't exactly healthy, but she felt like she was able to live up to her idol.
While Benio questioned everything she's ever done to that point, Chizuru and Hinako walked in, with her bottle of painkillers in hand.
"Hey Beni, how do you feel?" Chizuru asks as she pulls out two pills and hands them to Benio.
"Like shit but thank you for asking…" Benio mutters as she takes the pills.
"Benio, you need water for those," Hinako reminds Benio as she opens a water bottle for her.
"Nah, I'll just dehydrate, it's fine," Benio snarks as she takes the bottle and chugs it down.
"As much as we love you, we don't need your sass right now, Benio," Chizuru retorts as she pulls out her binder that has all their important time stuff. "Now, we have a doctor's appointment tomorrow to talk about your options for plans for potential physical therapy and such," She says as she's writing in her binder.
"Don't you guys have practice tomorrow?" Benio questions as she looks over at her.
"Oh! We quit the theater section of the zuka club," Hinako sighs boredly, as if it wasn't a big deal.
"WHAT?!" Benio yelps out, jerking her head towards the light brunette before groaning in pain from the sudden movement.
"Ok, first of all, don't jerk around like that you'll hurt yourself more and second of all it's not that big of a deal." Chizuru scolds before going back to writing some more.
"But, isn't this like, an important thing to you? Why are you throwing this away?" Benio asks, shocked.
They look at each other before looking back at her as Hinako says, "We only started doing theatre to stay close to you. Sure, it was fun, but it's not the same without you Benio."
Benio tears up at the thought of forcing the loves of her life to do something they didn't want to, her lip beginning to tremble.
"Oi! What's with the tears Miss
Mams?" Hinako teases lightly as she wipes Benio's eyes with a tissue.
Benibara grimaces slightly, averting her eyes from her beloveds. Knowing their fiance's tendencies, Chizuru and Hinako caught on immediately.
"We joined because we love you, Beni, and wanted to do something with you. No other reason, you dork." Chizuru lovingly jests. Benio nods, trusting her girls, as she leaned her head into Hinako's chest. It'll always be okay as long as her stars are here, she'll be able to make it; she knows it.
"Now, I don't know about you two, but I'm absolutely famished. We should order something and have it delivered!" Hinako chirped. Chizuru rolled her eyes, so Hinako used her not-so-secret-weapon against her: puppy eyes.
Chizuru let out an exasperated sigh. "Fine, I don't see why not. But we're not getting anything with cheese!" she shouts, an accusatory finger pointed at Hinako. "I don't feel like hearing you complain about your stomach pains."
"But then that means we can't have anything good!" Hinako whines out.
"No, it means YOU cant have anything good Hinako~" Chizuru snickers, both at herself and the face Hinako makes in response.
"WHAT!" Hinako screams out, causing Benio to wheeze- laughing so hard it hurts, but she doesn't care too much, seeing as she is already feeling better. Tomorrow already looks brighter than before.
"I love you girls," Benio sighs adoringly after she recovers from her giggles.
"We love you too," they reply, leaning in to hug their beloved fiance.
