Chapter 1
How did we end up here ? Yumeko looks to me expectantly whilst Ririka glances at me softly. They both want my support I’m going to kill kirari after this ends. Who thought this would be a good idea having these two gamble each other I worry Yumeko will hurt Ririka but I don’t want Yumeko to lose.
~ weeks earlier ~
“Mary-chan!” Mary knew that insufferable voice all too well the hint of excitement Yumeko showed in her voice was almost the same excitement as when she gambles or maybe that’s just wishful thinking of me. Mary looks at her and pauses there’s something so hypnotic about her I don’t know if it’s her bright eyes that turn puppy-like when looking at me or her long smooth black hair, the way I want to mess it up, there’s something about her I truly adore but I’d never tell her.
“Mary-chan! Come with me.” The girl reaches out and takes Mary’s hand into hers looping her fingers through hers.
“Yumeko I-“ A little flustered with the sudden hand holding Mary blushes slightly. “Let go Yumeko we’re not going anywhere don't think I haven’t forgotten about our last trip.” Yumeko pouts and slides up closer to Mary inches away from her face “But you’re my lucky charm Mary-chan.” She says with sincerity. Mary looks away avoiding eye contact her cheeks especially pink I hate how she makes me feel but I’m the only person she’s like this with this side of Yumeko so vulnerable and open I feel special when she wants me.
“Sh-shut up Yumeko you’re only saying that because you want me to go with you. Take floppy haired boy ryota instead.” She looks back up into her eyes God I hope she sees through me. Yumeko pulls back but still keeps close to me she let’s go of my hand the feeling of warmth leaving me, my head drops slightly I hope she doesn’t call for Ryota.
Instead Yumeko wraps her arm around Marys arm almost cat like clinging on to the blonde girl lovingly. Mary reacts instantly head shooting up she holds back a smile.
“Pleaase Mary-chan it’s no fun without you there watching me.” With an expression of annoyance on her face Mary sighs unable to resist the girls charms she says “Yeah okay let’s go BUT no gambling your life do you hear me I’m not going to rescue you another time if you do.” Yumeko smiles brightly her enthusiasm never lacking when it comes to gambling she knew Mary would save her everytime without a doubt.
Yumeko excitedly drags Mary with her down the hallways of the school to the main hall where the cries of joys and losses can be heard from gambles. Mary had become her lucky charm and everyone in the school knew it they were an incredible duo however no one saw coming in the weeks to come just how significant of a role the hidden twin Ririka Momobami would play in Mary Saotome’s life.
