Idol Girlfriend? Idol Girlfriend!

Jiwoo didn’t know what to think or what to say to Hyeju, who shook her shoulders excitedly and asked her why she didn’t say that she was dating an idol.

And all she could think of is what was she supposed to say when she didn’t even know.

Jiwoo thought she knew a lot about her girlfriend, maybe not everything since they’ve been dating a little less than half a year but she didn’t think she was that out of the loop to miss something this big.

Chaewon had come out of her room because she got nosey about what had her girlfriend screaming her lungs out. Hyeju bombarded Jiwoo with questions she didn’t even get to answer because the younger ramble off to her next question.

Chaewon stood still as she observed the two. What started off as a lopsided smile, turned into furrowed eyebrows as she watched her best friend looking so overwhelmed by her girlfriend’s questioning.

What was going on?

Chaewon puts a hand on her girlfriend’s shoulder and pats it, “Come on, let’s go.”

“Huh? Where are we going?” Hyejoo looks a bit confused on why they were suddenly leaving.

“I’m hungry.” Chaewon raises an eyebrow and crosses her arms.

Hyejoo freezes in her spot, smile turning awkward as her brain tries to rack up why she was hungry. They ate not too long ago. In fact, her girlfriend ate most of the chicken she had brought. Chae had been acting moody these past couple of days, maybe she was about to start her period. “Just give me a minute….to go um….put on my shoes?”

Jiwoo shoots Chaewon a weak smile and then lifelessly walks to her room. Her mind was jumbling around in her skull the more she keeps thinking, her thoughts jumping ahead of the other. She sits on the edge of her bed, mindlessly stares at the wall.

She blinks and then blinks again. Then a laugh follows through. She puts her hands against her face because what the hell.

Jiwoo thinks she needs a nap.

-

She might’ve spent the entire next day looking up Jinsol. Jinsoul. Whatever.

Her Biography. Her Music Videos. Dance practices. Her interviews. She even watches a video titled ‘Jinsoul’s Best Hand Moments’ that was just a close up video of her girlfriend writing with a pen during a fan signing event. How could she have been so dumb? Now that she thinks about it, she must’ve been blind not to see it.

Her girlfriend worked at BlockBerry Creative, makeup looked professionally done, weird working hours and not to mention how expensive she was.

Oh my god that’s why she was dressed like that on our first date. I’m so dumb I’m so dumb.

She avoided Hyeju for the life of her, opting to stay in her room and sending Chaewon a ‘I’m fine ! :)’ message when her best friend worriedly texted her. The only real breath of fresh air she got was when she left her apartment to go to work.

She knows she wasn’t going to run into Jinsol tonight because her girlfriend had mentioned her being busy for the day. Jiwoo needed this time to get her thoughts together.

She was dating a celebrity. A popular celebrity apparently. Jinsol. Jinsoul from Odd Eye Circle. Hyeju’s favorite girl group. Her girlfriend.

Even saying it in her head multiple times makes it crazier the more she thinks about it. Jinsoul from Odd Eye Circle. Jinsoul from Odd Eye Circle. Her girlfriend. Jinsoul from her girlfriend. Odd Eye Circle her girlfriend.

Thank god that her night shift had typically slow foot traffic because Jiwoo pulled out her phone to look up Jinsol again. No matter how many times she pulled her girlfriend up it still took her by surprise. Her girlfriend literally had her own search bar on google.

She clicks on a recent interview.

Jinsol was seated with Jungeun in the middle and Yerim on the other side, with the same hairstyles as the pictures she had seen with Hyeju. Awwww Jinsol looked so pretty with her hair done like that and okay maybe she smiled hard when her girlfriend was introducing herself.

“-we wanted to go for a girl crush concept for this album.” Jungeun holds up their album and Yerim smiles in agreement.

“But there are a lot of romantic songs in this album. I felt myself relating to a particular song like I was back in high school. I heard Jinsoul actually wrote my favorite song out of the album.” It was an indirect question that gave Jinsol a chance to talk about the song.

Jungeun hands Jinsol the mic and her girlfriend tucks her hair behind her ear. She gives an awkward laugh and shyly smiles “Yeah, I decided to get back into making a couple songs for the group. I’m glad that you like it so much. I’m sure a lot of fans can relate to having a crush and wanting to be more than friends with this person.”

“Was there someone you thought about when you wrote this?”

Jinsol doesn’t seem at all fazed or flustered by the question, almost like she had been expecting him to ask her “It was a gift for someone.”

Jungeun grabs the mic from her hand but not at all worried about how Jinsol answered “She’s a good friend of ours.” She gestures to Yerim. “She’s been very supportive of us as we prepared for this comeback.”

The interviewer laughed “I’m sure fans are relieved to hear that Jinsoul didn’t write this for her boyfriend but for a friend to confess her feelings.” The rest of the members laugh and Jinsol adds a ‘I definitely do not have a boyfriend.’

Jiwoo feels like she unlocked something, she pauses the interview and pulls up another tab to look up this song. She searches up their albums, clicks on the most recent and looks for Jinsol’s name under the credits. Jiwoo finds the song and taps on a lyrical video.

It was too relatable for Jiwoo not to try to dig for more information. She goes as far as to look at their ‘Thanks to’ portion of the album.

For Jiwooming

JINSOL WROTE HER A SONG. A LOVE SONG. AND SHE DIDN’T EVEN KNOW?

This is hands down the most romantic gesture anyone has ever done for her. Jinsol wrote a song in her album for her! Because she’s an idol. Jiwoo is dating a celebrity.

She literally cannot stop thinking about it. She doesn’t know why Jinsol didn’t tell her. Well it wasn’t like she was hiding it in the first place but still. They needed to talk because honestly she’s starting to feel a little overwhelmed about it now that she’s aware.

Jiwoo bites her lip and taps on the counter before she decides to text her girlfriend.

Me:

we need to talk

Jindori 💙:

??? is it something bad?

Ur kinda scaring me haha

Me:

i think it needs to be said in person

-

“So.” Chaewon slides next to Jiwoo on the couch. The older feels a little guilty for avoiding the girl but to be fair she was only really avoiding Hyeju and they were a packaged deal most of the time. “Are you gonna tell me what’s going on with you.”

“I didn’t know Jinsol was an idol.”

“Okay, great. Me too.”

Jiwoo laughs and pulls her knees to her chest, finally ready to say what has been on her mind “What has Hyeju been saying?” Jiwoo leaned her head on Chaewon’s shoulder, it was terrible keeping all this to herself and she just needed to talk to her best friend about it.

“She wouldn’t stop bugging me but I didn’t know what to tell her. She’s been too busy helping her mom with something but she told me that this conversation isn’t over.”

Jiwoo grabs her phone and unlocks it to check the time “I’m supposed to meet up with Jinsol in an hour to talk. I’m pretty sure she’s freaking out right now or something.”

Chaewon looks at her confused “Why would she freak out? What did you text her?”

“That we needed to talk.”

Her friend gives a small gasp “Girl, you’re going to hell for that.” A small laugh that fades once she realized what that message intended to mean “Wait, are you breaking up with her?”

Jiwoo sits up and frowns “What, no. Why would I break up with her?” Sure this was a big surprise for her but for the most part she’s had a great time with her girlfriend. This was honestly the best relationship she’s had if she’s really comparing.

“We need to talk sounds like a break up text.” Chaewon gets up and starts to walk to the kitchen “I’m grabbing something to drink, do you want any.” Her voice starts to fade the closer she walks into the space.

“Oh my gosh! It does! Should I text Jinsol that it isn’t a break up text?!” Jiwoo snaps her head towards Chaewon and starts to fumble with her phone.

She sees her shake her head “Nah, you’re already about to see her. The damage is already done.” Chaewon comes to a stop “Wait, should I leave? You guys can talk here if you want.”

Jiwoo waves her hands around and shakes her head “No I can’t ask you to do that. We were just gonna meet up in her car.” It gave them the privacy to talk without having to make the trip to Jinsol’s house.

Chaewon waves her off and stops herself from pouring her a soda “It’s okay. I’m supposed to hang out with Hyeju tonight and it’s probably better if I go to her than her coming over here to bother you.”

Her best friend leaves ten minutes after packing a bag to stay over at Hyeju’s. Jiwoo texts Jinsol to meet her at her house instead and now she nervously waits for her to make her way over. There is absolutely no reason for her to feel nervous but she was freaking her own self out.

She receives a text back saying that Jinsol was on her way up. And now knowing that they were gonna have a talk any second makes Jiwoo wish she prepared a speech. A speech for what? She doesn’t know either.

There’s a light knock and shoot I don’t even know what I’m going to say yet

Jiwoo opens the door and her girlfriend gives an awkward smile, almost nervous as she doesn’t even greet her with a kiss like she usually does when she walks through the door.

She should’ve sent the text that this wasn’t a break up talk.

Jiwoo gives her a quick peck to her cheek anyway, grabs her hand and drags her to the couch. Jinsol looks sad once she meets her eyes, her mouth thinned and eyes giving a puppy look like Jiwoo was really about to break her heart. Jiwoo really regrets not stating this isn’t a break up talk.

She still doesn’t know how to bring it up without sounding stupid or like she was being decieved this whole time. She needed answers but didn’t know how to ask.

“Are you okay?” Jinsol is the first to break the silence, even going as far as taking both Jiwoo’s hands into her own. Her soft hands were big and covered her own.

There are no words said for a moment “I didn’t know.” She ends up saying with a shaky voice.

The blonde looks at her patiently, rubbing the back of her hand with her thumb. This makes Jiwoo swallow and she looks away trying to form a sentence but her words were all over the place. “I-uum, didn’t know that…um you were like a celebrity or something. An idol?”

Jinsol stops the rubbing and stares at her. It makes Jiwoo feel a little dumb for not being able to just say it. This honestly wasn’t as serious of a talk that she was making it out to be. Jinsol leans away from her and looks confused, almost flabbergasted “You didn’t…what do you mean?”

She pulls her hands away from the blonde, needing her hands to talk but not knowing what exactly to do with them. “I didn’t know that um you were a ummm a s-singer.” A dramatic huff “I mean I knew you sang but like I didn’t know that’s what you did did.” She scrambles towards the end.

Jinsol opens her mouth, her brain trying to process whatever her girlfriend was trying to get across and then closes it.

“Why didn’t you tell me.” Jiwoo says softly and it makes Jinsol reel back, still confused on what was happening right now “Why didn’t you tell me that you were an idol?”

Giving her a couple of seconds to answer, Jinsol opens her mouth then closes and opens it again “Uhh…I honestly thought you knew? Are you saying that you didn’t…know this whole time….?”

Jiwoo drops her hands, how was she supposed to know? “How was I supposed to know!” She repeats with a small squeak.

Her girlfriend still gives her a look like she’s pulling her leg, not sure if she’s supposed to take this conversation seriously or not. “Babe.” She runs a hand through her blonde hair “If you didn’t know what I did, what did you think I did?”

That’s the thing, Jiwoo is devastatingly embarrassed that she didn’t know. She feels like she doesn’t know anything about her girlfriend, she figured they were still in the early stages of dating where it’s okay not to know everything. It’s embarrassing to say that she didn’t know Jinsol’s occupation.

“Honestly.” She sits up, wanting this conversation to be more serious but obviously failing to do so “I thought you were um staff.” Jinsol cracks a smile and Jiwoo beats her from talking “Let me explain! So the way that Chae was telling me is that BBC was her favorite group’s entertainment company and I didn’t even know there was more than one group! Stop laughing, I'm not done.”

“I’m not laughing.”

“You’re smiling.” Jiwoo smiles herself, not being able to take herself seriously anymore. “I didn’t recognize you from the posters she has around the house so when you said you worked there I didn’t think anything of it. Like I know you worked weird hours and come on! It’s not like I thought I had an actual shot with someone famous.” Jiwoo is doing a lot of rambling “Besides you never brought up work-“

Jinsol puts her hand on Jiwoo’s thigh, a moment of distraction that gave the blonde a chance to give her input “I didn’t talk about work because it’s not really me, you know. It’s what the company wants me to be and I like being the me I am when I’m with you.” Another thumb rub “To be fair, I really thought you knew.”

Jiwoo blushes a small pink and a shoulder shrug to her ears out of both embarrassment and shyness “I feel dumb.”

“Don’t say that.”

“But I really am. It was really obvious now that I think about it.”

Jinsol scoots closer, knees touching one another “No, it’s my fault. I guess I had a bit of celebrity syndrome where I thought everyone knew who I was.” She turns pink herself, she had a bigger ego than she thought.

Jiwoo laughs and Jinsol pokes at her “What’s so funny?” Jiwoo let’s out another small laugh and she covers her mouth “You’re gonna think it’s silly.”

“I love silly.”

The shorter leans into her girlfriend’s chest and Jinsol pulls her closer by the waist “The only reason I found out was because I saw your comeback pictures, well really Yerim and Jungeun’s at first. It was through my friend’s computer, Chae’s girlfriend. We had a big argument because I said I didn’t know we had the same friends.” Jinsol snorts “It went on for a couple of minutes and I was getting really mad because she wouldn’t believe that we were friends!”

Jiwoo goes more in depth on what happened a couple of nights ago. It makes Jinsol laugh a lot and she squeezes her waist.

It was a lot to unpack, Jinsol knows this. It still kind of shocks her that Jiwoo had no idea but it makes her feel a little good. There was often times, petty on her part, where she was upset that Jiwoo didn’t congratulate them winning awards. Didn’t mention their comebacks. Most importantly, the song she made for her. She tried not to let it bother her because it was a gift and it’s not like Jiwoo asked for her to do it.

“I made a song for you, you know.” Jinsol’s face goes red again, shy that she wanted an opinion about it. “On this album.”

Jiwoo looks up and kisses her chin “I have a confession.” Another kiss before hiding into her neck, rubbing her face into Jinsol’s cold skin “I know because I kinda started to stalk you once I found out. I watched an interview that talked about it. I just wasn't sure it was for me at first.”

“I thought it was really sweet of you. I can’t wait to brag to Chae that you wrote this for me, she’s gonna be jealous. If um you know that's okay?” It’s a bit weird now that she knows and has to be more aware of other things pertaining to her girlfriend. Does this mean she has to be more secretive about this? “It’s okay if I talk to my friends about this, right?”

There’s a moment of silence and Jinsol slowly pushes her away from her, wanting to look into her eyes. She cups both hands around Jiwoo’s face and swipes her thumb under her cheekbones. “Of course it’s okay.” But still, Jinsol goes over boundaries and her only request was only telling close friends and family. Which relieves Jiwoo because she thought she wasn’t supposed to tell anyone.

“I-Is this all you wanted to talk about?”

Jiwoo nods her head into Jinsol’s hands and the blonde gives a sigh of relief “I literally thought you were going to break up with me.” She mutters before leaning into a quick kiss, a low smack leaving both their lips.

“Yeah, sorry about that. I realized too late how it sounded.” She apologizes with another kiss “Wait, so to get this straight. Yerim and Jungeun are like celebrities, right?” She says against her lips.

Jinsol smiles and leans her forehead against Jiwoo’s “I mean I guess.”

I need a better gift.

-

“Are you done avoiding me?” Hyeju bumps the back of Jiwoo’s knee and she buckles with a small yelp. She gets her every time! Ugh!

“I wasn’t avoiding y-“ The taller throws her a look “-Okay, yeah I was totally doing that.” Jiwoo gives her a guilty smile. It’s been a couple of days since that night. Hyeju was working day shifts, Jiwoo working nights and utilizing her day to sleep. It was working well until it wasn’t.

“So, are you really dating Jinsol?”

“If I say yes, will you drop it?”

“Absolutely not.”

“I figured.” It shouldn’t feel weird to talk about her relationship with Hyeju. She’s known her for about five years before she even started dating her best friend. Have brunch multiple times a week. Hyeju even helped pick her up when she had her wisdom teeth pulled. But knowing that she is dating one of her favorite idols feels….weird.

It’s not a bad weird but she feels like there’s a glitch in the system and they somehow all aligned in a not bad but not right way.

“I’m gonna be honest, I only recently found out she was an idol.” Jiwoo embarrassingly replies “But yeah, just keep it a secret. Only you and Chae know about it.”

Hyeju makes a high pitched noise that almost sounds like a groan “I can’t believe I haven’t met her yet-WAIT. Those really expensive shoes that she wore to the airport…the ones that you have…..”

“Were a gift from Jinsol. Couple shoes.”

Another noise “And those hickies you had two weeks ago….”

“…Jinsol’s”

“Yeah, I’m so over this conversation.” She gags before a surprised noise leaves her mouth as Jiwoo nudges the back of her knee.

-

Jiwoo deflates in the passenger seat, clutching the small wrapped box in her lap and Jinsol frowns “It’s a sweet gift and Jungeun will think so too.” She grabs Jiwoo’s hand and pulls it closer to her lips and kisses her knuckles.

“Can we switch gifts? Please?” Jiwoo moved her body to where she’s facing her girlfriend.

“You don’t even know what I got her.” Jinsol glances at Jiwoo before focusing back on the road. They were on their way to Jungeun’s house- and Yerim’s. They never moved out of their shared dorm and opted not to leave, both liking the company.

“Probably better than this.” Jiwoo throws the gift up with a groan. She thought she had an expensive gift when she initially bought it and was super proud of it. Now that she knows that the trio was actually rich, this gift was less impressive.

“I got her a blender.”

“I bet it’s a nice blender.” Jiwoo mutters loud enough to hear.

“Oh look, we’re here!” Jinsol ignores the comment and pulls into the apartment complex’s parking garage. She parks in her old spot that til this day gets mad if someone else is there.

Jiwoo didn’t normally get nervous. She loved being in big groups because it gave her the chance to socialize more. But Jinsol mentioned that other singers and actors were going to be there too. It was gonna be a small group of 10-15 people there depending on how many could free up their schedules. ‘Jungeun’s friends, not mine.’

They go inside and Yerim immediately greets them in “Jungeun’s in the bathroom right now.” She gives Jinsol a side hug and smile gets bigger once her eyes land on Jiwoo. Yerim gives her a full hug and squeezes her tighter. “Jiwoo! So happy to see you here!”

Jiwoo laughs and wraps her arms around the younger. “Is that Jiwoo?” She turns her head to the sound of the voice calling her. It was Heejin, with a drink in her hand and arms opening wide to give her a hug.

“And Jinsol!” The blonde says dramatically with a playful eye roll. Her friends literally liked her girlfriend more than her, which should be criminal to do actually.

Jiwoo didn’t see Heejin that often but every time they did, Heejin absolutely adored her and vice versa. There was no doubt that Yerim and Heejin were the most accepting out of all of them.

Jiwoo’s eyes roamed around the living room and only recognized one actor and two actresses with the exception of Hyunjin and Vivi. She’s going to have to assume that the rest were singers or something along that field. She really needs to up her pop culture game.

Jinsol makes a look and nods her head in the direction of Vivi and Hyunjin, wanting to move so they’re not blocking the door.

“Perfect timing, I think we’re about to do games soon.” Hyunjin says, giving a small smile and a nod of acknowledgment to the two newcomers. “I don’t know if we’re gonna actually do them. Jungeun’s having a little bit of an upset stomach right now.”

“Hey, Jiwoo.” Vivi gives her a small pat in the arm and Jiwoo gives an extremely big smile. She doesn’t know why but she wants to impress Vivi the most. The older was really nice, shady in a non judgmental way if that made sense. There was this sort of push that made Jiwoo want to pull.

“Hey!” She says a bit too loud but the excitement was still there “I haven’t seen you in awhile. How are you holding up!”

Vivi makes a hand gesture, hand flat with her palm down and shakes it slightly “So-so. This week has been dragging. What about you?”

Jiwoo shrugs her shoulders, not wanting to deal with the whole ‘funny thing is I actually didn’t know all of you guys were famous’ stressful week she had. She did not need to go through that embarrassment again, as far as she knows everyone thought she was in the loop from the get go. “I’ve been working a lot and looked into signing up for classes for the next semester. Speaking of work, you should come visit during my shift.”

“If I go, I’m going to want to snack and I’ve been really trying to hit the gym.”

Jiwoo gives a quick look up and down, she was pretty sure her body fat percentage was nonexistent. “You already look amazing!”

Vivi gives a shy smile and takes a sip from her drink. Jiwoo sees Heejin stretch her neck, trying to get a look into the hall “Do you think she’s okay? She’s gonna miss her whole party at this point.” She says referring to the birthday girl, currently dying in the toilet. “I’m going to go check on her.”

“Do you guys have any medicine?” Vivi says to Yerim, who makes a face because they probably don’t have any.

“I can check the cabinets. Knowing Jungeun, she always keeps a lot of health items somewhere.” Yerim puts her cup at the nearest counter and walks into the kitchen with Vivi following close behind.

Jiwoo’s eyes glance at Jinsol and Hyunjin in a conversation she has no idea about. Her eyes roam around the room and spots a table full of presents for Jungeun. “I’m going to put this up.” She whispers into Jinsol’s ear, not wanting to interrupt the two and taps Jinsol’s hip as she passes by.

She gets a little intimidated at how big everyone else’s presents were and she tries hard not to hide her own. Jungeun will love it, Jinsol said so. Jinsol wouldn’t lie, right?

This wasn’t a ‘I’m just trying to make my girlfriend feel better’ kind of thing right? Jiwoo sets her present down, no longer wanting to stress about it and the table next to it catches her attention. There was a punch bowl that was self-serve and she glances at Jinsol’s empty hands. She’d grab them something to drink while they wait for everyone to come back.

Jiwoo grabs two cups from the table and hovers over the bowl. Was it mixed with alcohol already? If so, she’s gonna have to find something else because they drove here and she doesn’t want to be totally obliterated at Jungeun’s party.

“There’s no alcohol in there if that’s what you’re wondering.” A voice pulls her attention away and she stands up straight, no longer looking over the punch.

The woman was just about the same height as her, maybe even taller. Slightly faded pink hair that was just past her shoulders and had a great smile. The woman’s eyes flickered up and down as she put a hand on the table to lean a little. “Let me guess, actress?”

Jiwoo laughs in amusement, a hand coming up to cover her mouth because this person really thought that she was a celebrity? “College student, actually. Close though! Jiwoo, by the way.”

She gets a smile out of it, the woman clearly enjoying the conversation they’re having. If you’d call it that. “Could’ve fooled me but it actually explains things. My first guess would’ve been an idol because you’re really cute but I knew you weren’t since I haven’t met you before. My name is Sooyoung.”

Jiwoo quickly glances at Jinsol, hoping that her girlfriend wasn’t too lonely without her. Jinsol was frowning at whatever Hyunjin was saying but wasn’t showing any signs of wanting out of the conversation.

“So like, how do you know Jungeun?” Jiwoo moves her eyes back to Sooyoung, suddenly feeling rude that she wasn’t paying her much attention.

“We met through a mutual friend, kind of? I work at the convenience store down the street from their company so that’s how I first met her. I got closer to everyone after that. How do you know her?” Jiwoo asks out of politeness, it’s not everyday you get to hang out with celebrities.

That was a stupid thing to think. She does hang out with a celebrity. Every day.

Sooyoung takes a sip from her cup and Jiwoo notices her looking behind her shoulder before looking back at her “I choreographed a song for Odd Eye Circle a while back.” So she dances “And we’ve been friends since then. Well probably a little rocky in the middle.”

Jiwoo pours the punch into the empty cups, not forgetting her mission to give it to her parched girlfriend. Parched? Did she use that word right? “Why do you say tha-“ a hand is snaked around her waist and she’s pulled in until she’s flushed “Hey, I got you something to drink.” Jiwoo holds up both cups and smiles at the blonde.

Jinsol smiles back and takes the drink out of her hand “Thanks, baby.”

This makes Jiwoo chuckle awkwardly and nervously look around, wondering if anyone else heard that. She thought they were supposed to keep this on the down low since not everyone in this room knew Jinsol played for the same team.

“Jinsol.”

“Sooyoung.”

Was that awkward or was Jiwoo just imagining it because Jinsol didn’t actually look happy to see the other girl. She drinks her first sip from her cup “This tastes great, right guys?” Jiwoo tries to save the conversation, thinking it was a little weird that Jinsol was being off but still wanted to include her.

Sooyoung tilts her drink towards her, a small smile in agreement. “It’s gone a bit warm but yeah it’s pretty good.” She brings the cup back to her lips and eyes Jinsol “What about you?”

“It’s tasty.” Jiwoo furrows her eyebrows in confusion, her girlfriend hasn’t even drank anything yet. She puts a hand on Jinsol’s arm wanting her to look at her but she doesn’t.

“I bet it is.” Sooyoung replies back before straightening her back, no longer leaning on the table for support “Anyway, I should get going with my group over there. It was nice meeting you, Jiwoo. Jinsol.”

“Bye, hope to see you again.” Jiwoo waves a quick bye. When Sooyoung walks away, Jinsol drops her hand from Jiwoo’s waist and finally drinks her punch. Jiwoo faces her girlfriend and shoots her a look “What was that?”

“Oh wow, it is good.”

“Jinsol.”

“Later?”

Jiwoo playfully acts like she’s mad and then rolls her eyes “Fine but seriously, later.” She expects to walk back to Hyunjin and Heejin, who finally seemed to come back from checking on Jungeun but Jinsol tugs her in a different direction. “Are you okay? I thought you wanted to hang out with your friends?” The shorter one slows her pace and pulls away from her girlfriend.

Jinsol huffs to herself, closing her eyes before recollecting herself. This confuses Jiwoo even more because the blonde was in a great mood before they came in. Jinsol was even excited for tonight. What changed?

“I-…um I’m sorry. Hyunjin just kind of said something that made me mad at her and I can’t be around her right now. But later? Please?” Jiwoo squeezes Jinsol’s arm in understanding although she wants to get to the bottom of this. She nods her head and Jinsol smiles.

Jungeun fixes her birthday girl tiara on her head as she walks through the living room “Sorry about that guys. Who wants cake?”
