Pretty Boy Feelings
Summary
Tanner gets his hair dyed on behalf of his chat. Didn't expect to get a cute date out of it though.

Eric has always loved his hair. And doing his hair. And messing with his sister's hair. So it only made sense for him to be a hairdresser for a living. He even dyed his own and his friend's hair throughout high school.

That's how Eric ended up working at a pretty nice salon that allowed him to specialize in vivid hair colour. He loves being able to talk to his clients and finding the best placement and tones to make his masterpieces. Sure he can do a set of natural looking highlights for anyone. But making someone's hair look like unicorn throw up is where he really shines.

On the other hand, Tanner has never really thought about dying his hair. Really only gets it cut every so often. That's only to keep it out of his face after it bothered him for a while. Never felt like he needed to make a change to his appearance for any reason.

After a while of chat begging for a fun sub goal, Tanner gave in and let them pick something reasonable. That's how he landed on dying his hair since so many people kept spamming it. He was feeling nice enough to even let chat pick the colour should they hit the sub goal. Of course his chat was stubborn enough to make the goal. And they picked a nice reddish pink colour.

Now Tanner is walking into a salon that was nearby. He made this appointment a while ago. Just needed some time to process what a change this will be for a bit. He walks in and greets the cheery hairdresser at the front desk.

Once checked in, they walk over to the hairdresser's station to get started. "So you said you wanted to get a reddish pink colour on the tips when you booked this appointment?" Eric, the hairdresser, asked to make sure he was reading the appointment notes right. "Yeah that's what I would like. I don't mind what shade exactly but somewhere in that ballpark is good," Tanner nodded. Eric gave a thumbs up before wrapped the cape around his client.

Eric left to go mix up the hair dye. Now Tanner felt like he could breathe. There was something about Eric that just took his breath away. Between the fun hair, shiny eyes, and the pretty lips, it was hard to stay focused and not want to knock him over to kiss him.

Meanwhile Eric is mixing up the dye and his mind running with so many thoughts. Like 'Where has this pretty boy been all his life?' or 'I hope he doesn't mind me staring cause jesus- it should be illegal for someone to be that casually pretty just sitting there.' Eric shakes his head to clear away the loose thoughts and focuses back to the task on hand.

Taking a deep breath, Eric walks back over to Tanner with the dye and bleach in hand. "Ready for a long few hours?" Eric asks, ready to lock in. "Yeah I'm ready. Otherwise I wouldn't be sitting here, now would I?" Tanner asks sarcastically. "I suppose that's a good argument you have there," Eric jokes back while he preps his station.

There wasn't much conversation between bleaching his hair, rinsing the bleach out, applying the colour, and rinsing the dye out. Just enough to know that Tanner wouldn't mind a little trim since he is already here and already getting his hair done.

With that in mind, Eric turns Tanner away from the mirror once they are back at the chair from rinsing the dye out. Eric wants the reveal to be dramatic since he also learned that this is the first time that Tanner has dyed his hair.

Eric is now standing in front of Tanner with scissors in one hand and a comb in the other, cleaning up any loose strands. Eric can't help but take glances down at Tanner's beautiful eyes. Tanner is also trying his best to not stare. Looking at everything around but at the pretty guy standing in front of him.

The haircut is now finished and Eric takes a step back to admire his work. He spins Tanner around with a smile. Showing Tanner his haircut while going tah dah with jazz hands. Tanner takes a moment to look at his hair. Obviously stealing a glance or two at the cute hairdresser. Tanner also breaks out in a smile, letting Eric's joy infect him.

"Looks amazing. Thanks," Tanner lets out quietly. "That's what I'm here for," Eric replies. Tanner nods in agreement. They share a glance in the mirror before Eric waves Tanner to get up. "Come on now. Let's go get you checked out now," Eric leads Tanner to the front desk. "Checked out you say," Tanner says with a smirk. Eric shakes his head with a smile, playing off his joke.

"Your total is on the screen. Click next when you're ready and you can add a tip if you'd like," Eric guides Tanner through the checkout. Tanner nods in understanding as he adds a pretty nice tip. His reasoning being that the pretty boy did a good job on his hair and made himself feel pretty so it was worth it.

"Also would you like to book an appointment in 8 weeks for any touch ups?" Eric asking the standard questions that his job makes him ask. "No, I'm good. Don't need any appointments for touch ups. But I would like to know if you would like to book a date with me for Friday? Maybe something like getting coffee?" Tanner asks, hoping he doesn't scare off the pretty hairdresser. "Yeah I would love to book that coffee date with you. Does 12 pm sound good?" Eric responds effortlessly. "Sounds wonderful. At the cafe around the corner from here, good with you?" Tanner confirming the time. "Alright see ya there darling," Eric confirming the date. They are now waving at each other as Tanner walks out the door.
