The Twin Tenkos
“...Why must I wear this?”
“It’s cold out, duh.”
The two were getting ready to go walk towards the nearest blueberry picking field. It would be better if they went early, as the sun isn’t even above the horizon yet. Ririka wore some of Mary’s comfy sweatpants and hoodie while Mary wore what one would wear out in the field, ready for picking vegetables.
The walk was comforting for Mary, save for how silent the kitsune was walking- if she even was walking. The air was crispy and Mary chuckled when the kitsune tilted her head at the sight of a cloud leaving Mary’s lips. The crunching under Mary’s boots with each step let Mary know they were now a block away from the public picking farm. As the two stood waiting at the crosswalk, she looked over at Ririka who was watching a rabbit and her babies sleeping under a bus stop.
“Do you hunt rabbits?” Mary asked.
“...No. But I did have one years ago.”
As Mary was walking, she wondered how the older girl lived years ago. When was the last time she bounded a human to her? Did she have to watch them die… Is she going to watch Mary die?! Mary’s eyebrows furrowed at the thought, her living normal while the kitsune lives forever and-
“Mary? Where are you going?” Ririka asked innocently.
“H-Huh?” Mary stopped walking and turned around. She saw Ririka pointing at a sign that leads directions to the blueberry field. Her cheeks that already had a pink tint grew darker after noting she walked farther than she wanted. “Ah… Sorry. I got distracted.”
“Hm…” Ririka’s eyes squinted very faintly as she watched Mary intently as she passed her. Then, her gaze became narrow before trailing behind the blonde.
“Are you worried that you don't get to live as long as me?” Ririka mused. She did find this amusing, faintly hearing Mary’s thoughts about watching her die. That made her smile return but quickly disappeared when Mary turned around with wide eyes.
“W… Who said I was worried? Heh…”
The way the blonde scratched the nape of her neck had the kitsune quietly giggling. Her hand covered her mouth as she giggled, her tails swishing behind her, and her ears facing straight ahead towards Mary.
“Worry not, dear. You are mine and I am yours.” Ririka started strongly with her pupils as slits and no longer orbs. Catching the mortal gulp loudly, she smirks. “I will make sure you live well and healthy by my side. Plus, my sister has kept a mortal alive for hundreds of years. If I remember correctly, she’s from the Kansai region.” She smiles as she remembers her twin bringing the mortal into their territory for the first time. The way she was meek and small compared to the two tall twins.
“You have a sister? Is she…”
“... A kitsune? Yes. She deals with the business matters while I carry out any problems that occur.” Ririka’s eyes somehow become more sharp as the slits get even smaller after remembering some pests trying to bother her and her sister. But those thoughts were interrupted when there was a faint crunch behind them. Her ears twitched towards it, confirming that another human was getting nearer. Mary noticed her behavior and looked behind the taller girl before smiling and jogging towards the old ladies.
“Good morning!” Mary smiled before bowing.
“Good morning, Mary. You are here early.” The elder slowly walked and stopped before Mary, bringing her slow hand up to pat the blonde hair.
“Yes, very early!” Mary chuckled. “I want my friend to see how many ripe blueberries there are before more people stop by.” She holds her hand out pointing towards Ririka, Mary’s eyes widening just a bit as she sees Ririka without her kitsune features.
“Good morning- Oh! You are very tall and beautiful! My my, very pretty hair you have!” Another elder lady noted. Ririka smiled but before she could respond, the same elder lady beat her to it. “Mary, why don’t you grow your hair that long?”
“Ah, if I do, it will bother me as I’m working.” Mary responded. “Shall we begin picking some fresh blueberries?”
“Oh right! I forgot we are at the blueberry field!” The old ladies laughed, soon waving at Mary and her friend before they entered the fields. Mary was about to follow them into the field but a cold hand with a steel grip dragged her behind a shed and pinned her back to the shed.
“Friend?”
Her eyes instantly opened to ice cold eyes and pupils went back to being slits. She opened her mouth to talk but the fear she felt as she looked up at the taller girl had her forget how to speak. Only a small squeak left her mouth.
“It seems you have missed how I said you are mine and I am yours.”
Mary catches a brief sight of the kitsune’s tails and ears return before feeling Ririka rub her cheek against hers. What Mary thought was Ririka’s perfume, was actually her scent. Her eyes widened as it became much stronger as the kitsune continued to rub against Mary.
“R-Ririka!” Mary whimpers when Ririka rubs her jaw against her thighs.
“You are mine. Remember that, Mary.”
When Ririka finishes, she stands up and grips Mary’s chin to kiss her. It was fast and rough and hearing Mary whimper made her smile. She hums when she finally smells her scent coming off of Mary, who was desperately trying to kiss the same pace Ririka was. When they finally separate, Ririka silently watches Mary as she catches her breath.
“Okay! Yours… I-I’m yours.” Mary gasps as she leans her head against the shed. She examines the kitsune’s face before clearing her throat. “Does that make us… uhm-”
“You are not ready for my bites. But with my scent strongly coming off of you, other creatures will know that you belong to someone. That you belong to me.”
Mary’s blush darkened even more. “B-Bites?!”
“If you deem worthy as my mate, I will bite you right here,” Ririka says as she taps the spot where the blonde’s shoulder and neck meet. “When you meet my sister and her mate, you will see what it looks like.”
Mary only nodded before looking off to the side. “Shall we get to picking some blueberries?” Smiling when Ririka pats her head, she pushes herself off the shed and runs her hand through white silky hair, humming when the older girl closes her eyes. Off to the fields, they both walk side by side and Mary doesn't catch the kitsune hiding her ears and nine tails.
The two each held a basket full of blueberries as they walked back to home. They didn’t talk as Mary noticed how droopy the eyes of the kitsune were. She began to wash the blueberries in the sink, removing any excess dirt with lukewarm water. Behind her, Ririka was in her kitsune form as she jumped onto the counter to sit and watch the blonde. Her nine tails were swishing slowly and her blinks were slow, as if they were calculating. Her eyes followed Mary’s hand as she placed one empty basket on the floor. Seeing an open spot on the counter, she stood and jumped across. Mary didn’t flinch nor scream but continued to clean each blueberry. Icy blue eyes followed a hand that held a single blueberry raise up to a mouth before disappearing, a small crunch being heard. That same hand held another single blueberry but instead of Mary eating it, she held the hand out to Ririka, silently telling her to eat it. Her tails continued to swish as she sniffed the small snack before eating it. The two stared at each other while Ririka was chewing. All the blueberries they picked were ripe and juicy, Mary knew that. Yet she still needed to know if the kitsune approved of them for some reason. A small white paw clawed at her arm and so Mary washed another one and held it out for Ririka, who immediately ate it. The blonde chuckled and washed several blueberries and placed them on the counter at the kitsune's paws. Once Mary finished washing the blueberries, they both walked to the blonde’s room and when Mary told Ririka she would go shower, the response she got was Ririka curling up into a ball on her work table.
White ears twitched when she heard the shower turn off. Opening her eyes, Ririka flinched when she heard a harsh whisper before an image of her sister flashed in her mind. She wasn't hurt and it clearly didn't look like Kirari was scared, it was more of a small smile on her twin’s face. Her sister needs her to do deal with some business .
“Ririka? Are you okay?” Mary’s eyebrows were furrowed seeing that she was no longer in her animal form. Her eyes widened when the other girl walked closer to her. Ririka didn’t stop walking until she had Mary’s back against the wall.
“I have some business to attend to. Don’t leave the house until I get back.” She rubbed her jaw on the blonde’s neck again after noticing her scent was no longer present on her before moving down.
“P-Promise me that you’ll get b-back safe…!” Mary shuddered when Ririka rubbed her jaw against the inside of her thighs, but this time closer to her center.
Ririka smirked as she chucked huskily. Mary’s smell was intoxicating and with her arousal mixing with the kitsune’s scent had Ririka’s head spinning. Mary’s home was far away from other humans which would make her a good target for nogitsunes roaming through the fields. And thinking about the blonde being hurt while she was gone had icy blue eyes narrowing, slits forming as they stared hard at molten gold eyes. She stood up, her nose brushing against her human’s. She hoped her scent in this home was powerful enough to serve as a warning to others. Mary leaned in for the kiss, eagerly opening her mouth for the taller girl while her hands grabbed at the kitsune’s haori. Feeling a tongue slide against hers had Mary whimper. She inhaled sharply when she felt strong hands wrap around her waist and pull her body flush against the kitsune in front of her. The lewd noises from kissing had Mary’s arousal soaring and because of that, Ririka felt more energized. Soon after she began to kiss along Mary’s jaw, eyes opening slightly as she eyes the spot where she wants to bite to make the blonde hers. Instead she kisses all over her neck and pulls back, taking in the beautiful sight of a needy look on Mary.
“When I return, I will have a gift for you. Do you accept?” Not even a second passes before Mary nods to her question. She removes her arms around Mary as she fixes her attire. “I will get going now.”
They both walk to the front door and before Ririka leaves, she looks over her shoulder and moves her tails off to the side to see Mary. “I promise to return.” Mary watches her walk off, looking up at the orange sky for a split second before looking back at Ririka, who was already gone.
“Hello Kirari, Sayaka.” Ririka greets. Kirari turns around and smiles at seeing her sister well and healthy after the previous encounter with a family hindrance. Sayaka leans back on her chair to peep behind from Kirari and waves.
“When I am sleeping, do not whisper like that.” Ririka says as she walks closer to the two. “I hate it.”
Kirari covers her mouth to giggle before speaking, “Sister, if I called out with a normal greeting, you wouldn't have woken up.” She smiles when her twin rolls her eyes. “Before we talk, how is your mate doing?” Ririka’s eyes widen as her tails stiffen for a second.
“She’s not my mate yet… I have to make sure.”
“Riri, the way you scent her? Or the way you look at her? You are fooling yourself. Bite her so Sayaka and I can finally meet her.” Kirari claimed.
“Why are you glancing at us?! Not once have I glanced at you and Sayaka.” Ririka whined.
“When she took you in after the last gathering, I was a little apprehensive. But I am now at ease knowing that she is taking care of you.” Kirari confessed. She placed a hand on her twin’s shoulder and smiled. “So I must meet your mate!”
“Sayaka. Do you take care of this while I am away?” Ririka questioned. When the human nodded with a smile, she pushed Kirari’s face away.
“Now, in all seriousness, remember how we sent Jabami-san to handle a yako? Honebami-san is occupied at the moment so that is why I requested for you to be here.” Kirari revealed. Ririka glanced at where Yumeko was and sighed when she saw that the black-colored kitsune was limping towards a home.
“Do you have a time limit for me?” Ririka asked. In the back of her mind, she continued glancing at Yumeko. The black kitsune was gripping her abdomen, breathing heavily as she wiped blood that was trailing down her forehead and almost into her eyes. Yumeko was close to becoming a kyūbi no kitsune, just under a tenko, which she and Kirari are. But if she’s injured, she cannot obtain her last tail.
“Not at all. I want you to go back to your mate as soon as possible.” Kirari smirked when Ririka clicked her tongue before turning around to leave their territory.
