Summary
*on hiatus*In many universes, Midoriya Izuku is only seen as the second coming of All Might. In this Universe, Izuku has grown tired of all the Villan attacks and has something of a wake-up call after the Stain incident in Hosu. Deciding they have been focusing on all the wrong things and taking Gran's advice to heart. They have stopped focusing on being like All Might and have instead focused on how to be a good hero, and help their friends. This unfortunately has the side effect of both scaring and impressing his teachers, gaining his classmate's admiration, and attracting unwanted attention from the League of Villians. Also it makes them a bit of a sassy little shit.
Note
Yo, I have another story with three chapters that are already written, and working on a fourth. I'm going to post the first two now and the second two after I clean this up. Also, this will be my first time writing a genderfluid character so hopefully, I don't mess anything up. After I finish writing/editing the other two chapters for this I'm going to continue working on my other stories. hopefully, soon I can finish some of my current ones. Also, I do not own My hero academia.

Failed Rescue

“So now that you two have had a few days to think on—”

“Fuck you, Shigaraki, we’re not joining,” Katsuki snarled at the blue-haired villain, testing his restraints once more. The damn things were strong Katsuki’d give them that. How they got a hold of quirk restraints of this caliber though, was…kind of terrifying.

“Alright then, you obviously need some more convincing, rouge?” Shigarkai ignored Katsuki turning to Izuku, who was still identifying as non-binary, and really wishing they had their binder on.

“If I say yes, will you let me out of these binds?” They asked instead of answering. They weren’t actually going to join them, but if they were stupid enough to let them out, then all the better.

“Nope,” Shigraki answered, popping the p. He might see the green-haired twerp as a rouge, but he wasn’t stupid. Obviously, he would need to employ other tactics when it came to converting the two. Maybe he could threaten to do harm to one if they didn’t do what he’d said. Hmm, yes, that was a viable option, but he’d give them another day. If they still refused to join, then he’ll start by using Bakugou as his bargaining chip. Izuku would be far more effective in tearing down hero society unchained.

“Guess we’ll just have to wait for either the heroes to save us. Or our moms.” Katsuki shrugged in response. Deku might not know, or maybe they do, but he’s pretty sure their moms were vigilantes.

“Yeah, and if I were you, I’d hope the heroes get here first.” Izuku agreed; they were pretty sure their mom was a vigilante but didn’t research that because, well, deniability.

“You two act as if your mothers are some terrifying pair of women.” Spinner stated as he played poker with Compress.

Katsuki and Izuku looked at one another, smiling. Even if their moms weren’t vigilante’s like they suspect, they were still terrifying. Katsuki’s mom was a fashion mogul and one of the top designers in hero costumes. Izukus mom was the Crimson Viper enough said.

“I don’t know Spinner, I’d have to agree with the brats. I’d prefer facing Endickwad without my quirk than the Crimson Viper in angry mother mode.” Dabi spoke up as he once again stopped one of Toga’s knives from hitting him.

“Shit, I forgot about that,” Spinner shivered at the thought of having the anger of the Viper used against him. Not much could scare the gecko, but an angry lawyer who was a mother was one.

“If I could direct your attention to the screen, there’s something we should watch,” All For One spoke through the speakers, turning on the television to show a…newscast?

*With Inko*

Inko waited for her child’s teachers to exit her apartment before she walked towards her room. Izuku didn’t know, but there was a third room in their apartment, a room she also kept Hisashi from knowing. A room where she hid her less than legal activities. Rather evidence of less than legal activities.

Oh, she could have burned these items. Eradicated them even but with Izuku wanting to be a hero, she wanted to protect her child. If Izuku hadn’t gotten into U.A. or any hero course, Inko would have taught them to take up her previous mantle. Though after Izuku’s fifth birthday, this was no longer the only reason she kept her equipment. Shortly after her child turned five, there had been a resurgence of activity. Activity reminiscent of the Shadow King, a being long thought myth. A being who she wanted nowhere near her child.

Inko entered the room, staring at her dark violet costume. It was a simple bodysuit with a utility belt holding up to date medical supplies and a few glycerin bombs. The costume included a cloak with a hood she would attach to her hair and keep on with her quirk. Yes, this was the costume of the vigilante Heart Stopper.

However, now wasn’t the time to reminisce about her younger years. Walking past her costume and towards her phone, which only had two numbers programmed in, she dialed the first one.

After the first ring, there was a click indicating the receiver had picked up.

“Sugar Bomb” Inko—No, this was Heart Stopper spoke before they could say anything.

“Heart Stopper, I take it the reason you’re calling is because the heroes just finished telling you about our kids.” Sugar Bomb grit out.

“Indeed, we’ll give them some time to get our kids back, but…” Heart Stopper trailed

“But if we don’t see results, we’re going to bust down the Leagues door.” Sugar finished for her blood sister.

“We’re not gonna just bust their door down, we’re gonna blow them sky high, and If there’s even one scratch on the kids, I’ll be taking my pound of flesh.” Heart Stopper seethed.

“Glad we're in agreement, Sis.” Sugar bomb replied before hanging up the phone.

“Me as well, Mitsuki,” Inko whispered as she placed the phone down before leaving the room. Either the heroes would save her kids, or they would.

*Back at the bar*

“Do you two see now. Society has already labeled you both; you as the villain and you as the helpless victim.” Shigaraki pointed towards Katsuki and then Izuku.

“Though you’re obviously far from helpless.” He finished, watching the two stew in anger at the press or what he thought was anger towards the press.

Instead, Izuku was internally rolling their eyes. They already held this conversation with Tomura. Honestly, the media had no idea as to why Katsuki acted the way he did. Part of it was how he grew up, but the other part was that he naturally had higher blood pressure than most. If he didn’t, then his sweat would probably kill him.

“Dabi, let Bakugou out of his binds. We want him to join us; we should treat him as an equal.” Shigaraki ordered Dabi as he walked towards Izuku.

“Are you sure that’s such a good idea, boss?” Dabi drawled.

“It’s fine; besides, we outnumber him, and he has Izuku to worry about.” Shigaraki shrugged, reaching a hand towards Izuku, who thrashed away in response.

“Calm down, brat. I’m just going to disintegrate your chains.” He said, wrapping a hand around the chains, releasing Izuku but not their quirk.

“Though you’ll still have to deal with cuffs, you’re too much of a wild card otherwise.” Shigaraki stepped back as Dabi finished letting Katsuki out.

Katsuki, in response, jumped out of the chair, palms lighting up in mini-explosions. He was gearing up to attack one of them when he was hit over the head by Izuku. Then all he could do was grip his head in pain. ‘Since when did Deku’s hits hurt so much.’

“Goddammit Katsuki, do you have no sense of subtlety.” They snarled.

“Shut up, Deku, I could take them,” Katsuki yelled.

“Katsuki…no, just no.” Izuku sighed as they plopped down in a chair.

Honestly, Katsuki could be so stupid sometimes. Shigaraki may be a man-child, but he was trained by AFO and had a quirk that could disintegrate at whatever rate he decided. Kurogiri could literally warp them back or cut a limb off. Dabi was trained by Endickwad and lived on the streets, probably learning how to fight dirty. Toga was well—Toga and Izuku did not want to fuck with her. Magne could pull them both back. Compress could throw shit at the with minimal effort. Spinner, well, Spinner had that colossal sword. Don’t even get them started on the fucking Nomu.

“Whatever you’re just to—”

“If you say I’m too much of a coward, I will murder you.” Izuku cut him off, glaring at him.

“Murder me as in kill me or…”

“Murder you as in your reputation.” They answered Katsuki, who, in turn, cringed in fear and sat down next to Izuku.

“Now that you’re both—”

“Hello, I got a pizza delivery here.” A voice called through the bar door.

Izuku and Katsuki nodded silently at one another. They tensed their muscles, preparing to jump out of their chairs and make a run for it.

“SMASH” The wall caved in, and All Might came through. The kids didn’t waste a minute breaking into a run towards the only escape route available. All Might was here, and he would keep the heroes busy, but he wouldn’t be able to do so if they were in the way.

The two made it safely towards the police, far enough away for the heroes to do their jobs. The two grabbed each other's hands tightly, watching as Kamui bound the villains in his quirk, and Kurogiri be knocked out of commission along with Dabi.

The two sighed in relief, glad it was all over. All Might soon joined them, gripping them both in a bone-crushing hug. Izuku couldn’t help it. She started to cry in relief. She was terrified of what they might do to her and Katsuki. She knew she shouldn’t have antagonized the villains. Still, since her sass had kept Shigaraki entertained at the mall, she figured it might keep them alive…She was still taking Endewhore down when she got home.

“It’s alright kids. Why?” All Might wiped away Izuku’s tears.

“Because YOU ARE HERE,” Katsuki and Izuku laughed. Yes, it was childish, but they were still children.

“Now then, my…

“Girl”

“Now then, my Girl, why don’t we get those cuffs off you?” All Might said as he was given a key by Edgeshot.

“Yes, please.” She responded, holding out her arms. No sooner had the first cuff been removed when Izuku’s original quirk activated.

She didn’t know what it was, but it felt similar to Kurogiris’ quirk. Izuku opened her mouth to warn the heroes. What came, however, was pitch black slime that covered her entire body, taking her away from the heroes.
