Chapter 1
This is a truly fascinating turn of events, the clock has struck 8 and still this room remains empty besides me and my twin. Such changes truly give me rush. Oh how I love to be surprised. Certainly, Sayaka must be in huff, running down the halls completely panicked over even making the slightest mistake. There is the possibility of her being her hurt or perhaps sick, but I would’ve heard by know... unless it happened just minutes ago. Perhaps she is laying somewhere injuried. What a disturbing thought, but Sayaka is too careful to allow herself to be injured in such a reckless manner. Than what could be the cause of this unlikely development? I can only assume that the answer will come soon enough; my lovely Sayaka can’t stay away for long.
Besides me Ririka shifts as she stands. What a strange girl my twin is. Why stand when there are so many open chairs and why wear that utterly horrifying mask? Truly she needs to work on her self-confidence it’s not suited for a Momobami to be so sensitive and unassertive.
“Are you worried?” Ririka questions. With that mask on, I can not be certain if her tone is teasing, concerned, or simply disinterested. Has this change also peaked the interest of my passive sister or is her question simply out of obligation? I should know, yet I do not, but even still what a fascinating question.
“And why would I be,” I answer allowing some amusement to creep into my tone as I tilt my head up to look at her. She grunts in response. Annoyance. She seems to have less patience for me ever since her involvement with that feral blonde.
“Sayaka is late.” She states it as fact almost like it wasn’t the answer to my question. We both know it is and yet I cannot bring myself to give her genuine answer.
“Indeed. It is interesting isn’t it”
“No.” Her voice is cold and I can’t help but chuckle. She truly is such a strange girl to be so irritated on such a nice day. There is a knock on the door and my eyes leave the face of my sister and turn to the face of the clock. 8:06. Six minutes late. Will she explain as she kneels on the floor? Do I even want that? How interesting I don’t think I do.
“Come in,” I call out. The door opens quickly but not too aggressively; a clear sign that it is indeed my lovely secretary who was waiting outside my door.
“President, I’m sorry for arriving late. It was highly unprofessional, and it will not happen again. Unfortunately, if it is possible, I have to ask you to allow me to miss today’s student council meeting as I have family business to attend,” Sayaka states. Her head is bent down, but there is no blush and there is no sign of worry. She seems completely calm. Now this is quite the development.
“Of course Sa~y~ak,” I sing out, “Do you take me for some brute?” Perhaps a bit of teasing will bring out
that blush that I love so much.
“No, President, I would never doubt your generosity, but to simply assume would be simply unacceptable, and if you may excuse me I have classes to attend,” Sayaka answers calmly once again. Still no blush appears on her beautiful how unusual.
“Have a nice day Sayaka.” She nods her head and turns to leave the room.
Once she is gone Ririka says, “I hope her family is okay” and she too moves to leave the student council room. Her family—huh. I do not know anything about her family. Why is that? You never asked a voice tells me, but why would I? Why would I?
