Ok so,
Sirius thought Remus was the traitor. I don't think this is very on character for Sirius. In my mind, he trusts the marauders more than anything. Especially Moony. Because wolfstar. My theory is Peter cast a confundo on Sirius. He made Sirius think that Remus would betray the Potters. That's the only way I think Sirius would believe Remus was the traitor. This is more of a theory than a fic idea, but anyone's welcome to make one out of this.
