16. Grave Mistake
episode five , you reap what you woe
Â
JOSEPHINE MONROE had always been the apple of Uncle's eye. If there was a proud father moment, Uncle would be there. He remembers when Josephine used to talk, and when she went swimming in the lake near their home with her friends. Or at the balls her mother would host, how she would dance late into the night.
"Aren't we each obliged to one phone call?" Wednesday stood before a police officer behind the bars. The officer raised a brow before shrugging and grabbing Wednesday by the arm, bringing her over to the phone.
"You have ten minutes." The officer shoved Wednesday in the phone box where there was a phone dial.
+44 (020) -***-****. Wednesday remembered the numbered and typed it in quickly. "Hello, this is S.O Drosselmayer speaking; this is Josephine's phone though."
"Drosselmayer; i am at the jail with my family. Do you mind bringing in Josephine to prove my innocents?" Wednesday's voice was struck and to the point, which made Uncle laugh loudly. "This is not funny, I have one call that's only five minutes." Wednesday snapped at Uncle who gave a breathy laugh.
"Yeah, you know what? I'll send Phie over there now." And with that, Drosselmayer ended the call and turned to Josephine, who was sitting next to him. "We should prepare a case."
🦇
Everybody knows that Josephine Monroe should have been a lawyer, especially from the moment she started to talk. She would make a fake court cases against her brother, talking to her stuffed animals who were the members the jury, she would have her uncle play witness and her favorite stuffed animal (a small reindeer).
The Addams, however, didn't know this. They were not expecting a sixteen year old girl wearing a blue suit pants, black heels with her curly hair into a French twist. She had on her nicest pair of earrings, neckless and watches. She was also holding a dark brown suitcase, with all the information she had. Josephine strutted through the empty narrow corridors of the city hall building.
Â
At the very end of the hallway was a massive door that read, MAYOR, NOBEL WALKER II. Without knocking, Josephine busted into the room, not bothered by the pretty white woman on his desk, her blouse undone and her skirt hiked up. "Mayor Walker." Josephine looked at the mayor, who quickly zipped up his pants and wiped his hands with baby wipes that were in his desk.
"Miss Monroe." The mayor stuttered as he walked over and attempted to shake her hand, Josephine recoiled in disgust but waved off the fact that the prey little secretly bolted out of the room.
"I have several different files, record and a hard drive to prove my soulmate along with her parent's innocents." Josephine opened her briefcase, pulling out her computer, several case files and a hard drive. "There have been several records of alterations within the biopsy of garret gates— who was the grave that Mortisha Addams was visiting. It says in the original biopsy report that Garret Gates that he died from nightshade poisoning, and the night he died according the to the police report," Josephine pulled out a report from the eighties.
"I have no intentions of being rude, Miss Josephine. But I cannot sign." Josephine stated at him, "further more how did you get these files?" Mayor Walker sighed as called an interpreter, that he would hopefully would understand what he was saying. Soon; that same pretty blonde woman from before walked in with Uncle walked in with a sly smile.
"Now. I have several different files, record and a hard drive to prove my soulmate along with her parent's innocents. There have been several records of alterations within the biopsy of garret gates— who was the grave that Mortisha Addams was visiting. It says in the original biopsy report that Garret Gates that he died from nightshade poisoning, and the night he died according the to the police report the testimony made by Francois Mostler— Donavan Galpin's deceased wife. She is commonly known as a Hyde, hyper sensitive and can see more things than they show off. Francois states that,"
"Garret and his friends, Elias and Morgan, I think, they were planning something— something huge! I remember them saying something about night shade, I think. Something about putting it in the punch." The tape, that was playing on Josephine's computer, sounded just like eighteen year old Francois. Uncle of course, translated all what Josephine had stated previously to Mayor Walker.
"Which means that you— the detective and chief of police of the time, must have known that Garret was both stalking sixteen year old Mortisha Addams (when he was nineteen nontheless) and that he attempted to murder to an enemies group of people. That is technically, attempted genocide. All of those, lying under the oath? Those are all punishable charges in the United States Mister Mayor. We could all avoid going to court, if you give a full pardon to my soulmate and her family, along with," the mayor let out a deep sigh as he heard Josephine's 'along with', he had been sitting her for multiple hours listing to different evidence and plot holes they covered up years ago, "state pardon with compensation for not listing to her multiple, filed complaints." Josephine stacked a full ten different leaves complaints and files supporting the claims that Garret was stalking (and sexually harassing) young Mortisha Addams.
"Yeah, erm, of course." Mayor Walker didn't want any more problems. "I'll talk to the judge about it." Josephine walked out, stopping at the door, letting Uncle translate.
"If you don't want me to go the press about what u walked in on, then you'll get them free by tonight. Or guess whose faces will be on the front side of tomorrow paper." With that, Josephine and Uncle left the Mayor's office, feeling better about themselves.
"I think we deserve celebratory coffee and tea." Uncle chimed as they walked through the small town of Jericho. They made it to the Weathervane, where Tyler thankfully wasn't working there today. "Go grab us a booth, I'll order us something."
A small 'ding' went off as Josephine raised an eyebrow at her phone. Checking her phone, Josephine swiped to see an unknown phone number.
+1 (802) *** - ****
Josephine, this is Wednesday. I just bought a phone. Where are you?
Josephine Monroe
Hi Wendi, I'm at the Weathervane with Uncle Drosselmayer. We are having celebratory coffee/tea.
+1 (802) ***-****
I'll be right there. I'm being my parents, they want to get to know you.
Josephine Monroe changed ' +1 (802) ***-****' to 'Wednesday Addams'
Josephine let out a noiseless laugh as Uncle came back with an earl gray tea with sugar and cream, and a mocha frappuccino. Uncle sat down and looked over the texts, he then looked at her and raised his eyebrows.
"Shut up!" Josephine slapped uncle's shoulder, who gave a boastful laugh before sipping his tea like the posh man he is.
