Quantumtale After Life

Frisk was sitting on the couch, her skeleton's head in her lap and Papyrus leaning on her shoulder as the three were going around channels. 

"I'm so bored right now." Frisk chuckled. 

"Me too--" Suddenly, the familiar sound of a portal came through as the three looked at the source of the sound. A skeleton, glitching, random errors going around as threads whirled him through their living room. Sans whistled. 

"they always said 'ask and you shall receive' but damn..." Papyrus tilted his head. 

"ARE WE JUST GOING TO ACT LIKE ERROR ISN'T IN OUR AU RIGHT NOW??" Frisk snorted. 

"He knows better than to try any shit with me AND Sans here so yes. 'Sup Error??" The girl said, smiling. The skeleton groaned, his voice slightly glitching. He was clearly nervous. 

"I'm on break right now so sup? I uhh...I am h-h-here because I p-played a dumb joke on I-I-Ink and a-ate his skittles."

"YOU WHAT?? Oh, you idiotic moron have you done?!" Frisk says, her eyes wide. 

"oh boy...were they sour?" 

"Y-Y-You m-mean green p-pack??" Frisk and Sans both hissed. 

"Oh Dios Mio, may God have mercy on your idiotic soul." Error snarled. 

"H-HE STARTED IT!!"

"And what DEMON possessed you to try and finish it...IT'S INK, GOD DAMN IT! Are you AU destroyer or self destroyer?!" Error was silent. 

"point taken by the kids. soooo...you here to hide??"

"duhh why else would I come in this place?? i-i-i already have a f-f-f-risk."

"good luck finding her lmao." Frisk frowns, smacking her boyfriend over the head. 

"SANS! Shit- Don't mind him, Error." Error Sans sighed. 

"h-h-he is r-right...b-but now I seriously need to h-hide! i-i can mourn later!" The three kids shrugged. That's when Gaster walked in with a mug in his hands. 

"What's with all the-- Holy fucking-!!" The man almost dropped his mug as Error smiled awkwardly. Exactly at that point entered some of their friends. 

"Ayo Friskyy-- HOLY MOTHER RUSSIA!!" Luka says, jumping up. Undyne spurts in shock as Alphys hides behind her and Luka's boyfriend looks just as surprised as Toriel and Asgore. Gorgette and Mk look like they saw a ghost and Mettaton almost short-circuited. 

"uhhh...this is awkward." Frisk sighed. 

"You're still an AU destroyer. He's on break." The kids all seem to relax. 

"Sooo...why's he here??" Louis asked, putting Luka down. 

"He needs a place to hide apparently." The kids chuckled. 

"He needs a place to hide? for real??" Undyne said. Error flushed in embarrassment, glitching a bit more in annoyance. 

"Hey...WE CAN DO THIS LIKE A GAME!" Toriel suggested, clapping. 

"Uuuu~ Some help Error and others wait for Ink??" Luka added. The teens all grinned. Error looked perplexed. 

"Did these demons just gamble on my safety?? Like a game??" Gaster looked at the glitching skeleton and snorted. 

"First time??" Error gulped and sighed. 

"Alrighty let's make the teams!!" Frisk said, grinning. Frisk and Sans ended up as captains, Frisk being on team Error while Sans was on team Ink

Ink stepped through the portal only to find a bunch of kids waiting for him grinning. Time Kid Sans stepped forward smirking. 

"welcome to a game of great importance based on error's safety. we're the team supposed to help you with seeking. the other is helping with hiding." Ink's eyes widened as a dangerous gleam shot through them as they changed colors. 

"sounds good to me!"  The kids and the taller skeleton exited the house, being immediately hit by the cold. The first thing Sans does is groan. Louis quirks a brow. 

"what??" Time kid Sans gestures down. It was just snow. 

"snow??" Sans nodded. 

"no footprints." Toriel hums in thought. 

"They covered the footprints up...but what couldn't they cover? Smell. And the best at smelling is Undyne." The fish monster grinned. Gorgette scoffed. 

"I can help too, you know??" Louis chuckled. 

"You're just mad MK is on the other team. Come on, they couldn't have covered their smells."

Frisk grinned in glory as she purposely let herself get inside the river just to get the smell out of their tail. She used her magic to dry herself and the other and then they started moving again, letting Alphys use her tail to brush away the footprints. 

"Let's go to Waterfalls! From there we can get to Hotland fairly easily and we can hide inside Muffet's old layer. Hope you like spiders." Error paled. 

He hated spiders. 

"What the hell??" Undyne grumbled, narrowing her eyes at the water. 

"what happened??" Gorgette sighed. 

"The smell cuts off." Time kid Sans smirks as we as Louis. 

"smart frisk...hey paps...if you were frisk where would you go??" 

"SOMEWHERE THAT WOULD SCARE THE FLIPPING FLOOF OUT OF ANYONE THAT DARES COME TOWARDS US!" 

"Alright...we're going towards Muffet's." Louis said, smirking. Ink frowned. 

"but error hates spiders." 

"I have a safe bet that not a lot of people can resist Frisk and her genius mind...and one of them surely isn't Error." 

"what the hell is wrong with you kids...??" Error asks, staring with wide eyes at the giant drop they just had. They were now in the dumps. 

"Interesting...I think it was a bit bigger when I was a kid." Frisk said, scratching her head. Mk made some bubbles in the water he landed and Luka gasped. 

"Ah, shit! Let me help buddy." 

"Welp, let's go get Blooky's help!" Mettaton gasped, lighting up. 

"OHH~ BLOOKY!!" Frisk laughed and they all stepped forward going towards the end of the cavern where they met with Napstablook. 

"Blooky!! We need a favor from you! How good are you at tricking people??" The ghost tilted its head. Frisk smirked. 

"Perfect..." 

"uhhh...you sure this is the way frisk went when she got through the underground?? it's a giant drop..." Sans said, frowning. 

"Yeahhh...It was my bad for this one. I cut the board underneath here and she fell all the way there. There's a bed of golden flowers and some water but we should be able to descend fairly easy with magic." Sans scrunched his face up. 

"a 10-year-old fell all the way down there. what the fuck." 

"she falls there in most au's! isn't it awesome??" The others gave Ink a deadpanned look. 

"I'm surprised none of the Frisk's broke their legs." Ink hummed. 

"can't say the same about aliza and frisk from horrotale." If it was possible for a skeleton to pale...Sans would have been whiter than a sheet. God, Horror was cruel...

"Ugh...I don't want to imagine that stuff." Gorgette said, screwing her eyes shut. Sans sighed and they all jumped down. Just as they did they were face to face with Napstablook. 

"Oh no..." The ghost said, sweating. Undyne smirked. 

"Hey, dude...Say have you see the others--" 

"NO! I'M NOT GOING TOWARDS THEM RIGHT NOW!!" And the ghost left. The others didn't know that the ghost leads them the opposite way the kids with Error went. 

Frisk hummed as she looked at the monitors in the lab. 

"It should be safe." Frisk said as she patted Alphys' back. The lizard monster pressed a button and various puzzles turned on. Mettaton chuckled lightly and the kids then strolled towards an elevator that would soon shut down. 

"Man Frisk, you're evil." Luka said as the girl scoffed as a joke as she threw her hair back. Error was silent. He was dreading the moment that they'd have to get to the spider lair. 

"THIS IS SO UNFAIIIIRRR!" Louis said, pouting, as they were trying to pass a particularly shitty puzzle. 

"I'm never underestimating Frisk again. She did this at such a young age!" Undyne said. Sans snorted. 

"your first mistake was underestimating her." Ink chuckled. 

"all frisk's are like that..."

"What's YOUR Frisk like??" Gorgette asked. All the kids turned towards the older skeleton as his face softened, the colors seeming less fake than before. Ink's mind was taken back to jean's overalls and shirt cuffs, dirty with ink and acrylics. A pencil holding hair in place and a strong scent of strawberries. Eyes lighting up like Christmas lights. 

"yeah...i know that look." Tiny Sans said, snorting. The others were now walking ahead, satisfied by the skeleton's look when Ink looked at Time Kid Sans. 

"do you think she'll ever forgive me...??" Sans hums. 

"there's one thing i noticed...this seems to happen in every au." Ink nodded. 

"so i bet, even if you left yours...that bond, or whatever it is, still stands." 

"We're here!!" Frisk said as they stepped in. Error breath in and stepped in. It was pretty dark and everywhere he looked he could see cobwebs...more importantly threads. His soul was hammering in his chest, guilt washing over him. 

He looked around and spotted a peculiar lump of threads together and his eye-lights went out. 

Instead of the webs, he was now seeing his own blue threads, around a girl. She was glitching just like him and screaming for him to stop. He didn't. Error screwed his eyes shut and sighs shakingly. Frisk looks at her friends and her eyes soften when they land back on the AU destroyer. She gets up from the spot she took on the floor and hugs the skeleton. 

He jerks but relaxes immediately. So touch starved. 

"Want us to find another place...?" Frisk asked. Error looks at her for a second and smiles a little. 

"it's seriously hard not to believe the 'all frisk's are kind' bullshit when all of you act like this...n-no thanks..." Frisk nods. The glitching skeleton looks at the group of kids talking among themselves about evasive maneuvers and sighs, crossing his arms. He turns around towards the threads he saw earlier but they're back to being webs. He closes his eyes again and suddenly, he feels a warm feeling. Like something is hugging but...but nothing at the same time. Like that thing doesn't exist. 

Error frowns, even more, focusing on the feeling. He swore he could feel a small thread going around his ankle nut everything broke as Ink burst in, launching himself at Error. 

"HOW DARE YOU EAT MY SKITTLES?!"

"uhhh....oops??"

"NO OOPS! COME ON! We need to get back now. I chased a ghost halfway through waterfalls until we realized it was fake."

"HAH! IT WORKED!" Frisk said smirking. Time kid Sans flopped next to the girl and groaned. The other monsters were panting as well.

"alright. see ya brats."

"bye-bye time kids!!"

The teens all waved at the two skeletons as they went through a portal and Ink then patted Error on his shoulder. 

"i'm sure she'll soon turn up if it helps..."

Frisk walked through the whiteness of the place to only see his older glitching version leaning back. 

"Hey..." She said, sitting down next to the girl. Glitch turned towards her and smirked. 

"Sup kid?? What brings you here?" She asked, small glitches highlighting her frame like a 3D movie without glasses on. 

"You know he misses you right?" Her eyes widened for a second before she smiled slightly. 

"Heh...I-I didn't expect that...You know...since he kind of did this and all..." Kid Frisk chuckled and then stood up, letting her hand extend so the girl can stand as well. She did, small threads extending slightly, this being the first time she stood in a long time. 

"Time to go home, huh...??"

"Time to go home..." Glitch laughed. 

"Sometimes I hate this stupid bond..."

"But only sometimes eh??" Frisk said to her, her blue skin darkening just slightly. 

"Never change kid...K?"

"It's time you go home as well...It's your turn to be happy. We did it." Glitch smiled and patted Frisk's crazy curls. 

"Man, you look like Paint with that hair of yours...only that Paint has colors in it."

"Say hi to her from me!" And just like that Glitch was gone. She appeared in another white space, only this one had threads and at the far end, it extended into an echo flower cave. The girl slowly walked her way towards a figure sitting down, watching one of the flowers. 

"You're boring." She admitted. Error turned around, his lights off. Glitch just gave him a big bright smile. In a second, he was on his feet, hugging her. Apologies spurted left and right. 

"I know buddy...I know..."

Time kid Frisk and Time Kid Sans stood at the other end of the room, smiling, with Paint and Ink behind them, smirking. 

"OOOO! GLITCH HAS A BOYYYYFRIENNNDDDD!!" Paint yelled. Glitch turned around. 

"WHAT THE FUCK PAINT?!" 

Maybe they were in for a second round of Hide and Seek.
