"You.. wench! You won't get away with this!" Yuuto narrows his eyes towards the powerful woman smiling ever-so menacingly back at him, her eyes glowing with mischief hidden in those blue-ish orbs.

"Oh but darling, I already have." Asami, with a gun pointed at the fallen man just below her, completely dominating the situation with her own self, exclaims before pulling the trigger, the bullet shooting Yuuto right on the forehead, which bore a little hole on the skin of the now lifeless Yuuto.

"Booooring!" Mary states in a mocking manner, rolling her eyes. It was 4 in the afternoon, with nothing planned out for the rest of the day, Mary finds herself sinking in her sofa, eyes darted at the tv screen for about hours now.

'What an idiot protagonist. It was so obvious that she's the traitor. Psh.. of course he won't believe that, he's blinded by her beauty.' Mary had thought, irking at how it is easy to predict the outcome of the movie she is currently watching. Though having a dead protagonist is a change of pace (as per usual, heroes always win) the plot just had Mary uninterested.

Why watch it in the first place? First of all, Mary is exploring roles she might try once she is back on business. It had been at least two years since her acting career was announced to be put on hiatus due to some.. certain issue. Surely, no one would mind if she comes back, right? Secondly, she does not have the energy to reach for the remote of the tv sitting on the coffee table. The latter is more accurate on this case.

Right at the moment, Mary hears the front door open. She would have been alerted by it but no one knows her passcode other than her closest friend and herself. Mary assumes that this person is not a robber, a paparazzi, or a stalker, rather her best friend.

Which is what she is right about. A certain long dark violet haired with an average height came strutting inside the living room as if she actually owns the unit. Mary eyes her silently, knowing there is a crucial news to talk about whenever she sees her friend—who is her manager, as well—in this serious state.

"Sayaka—"

"Oh! I didn't know you're watching that movie! I could have gone by sooner and watch it with you!" And just like that, Sayaka's mood went different. From having those dead serious eyes to sparkling admiration, excitement filling her body when she noticed the movie rolling on the tv screen.

"I.. I didn't know you're into action movies."

"That's because I'm not. I just.." Sayaka trails off, unsure of what to add. She bites her lower lip as she never looked away from the screen, seeing 'Asami', the antagonist of the movie, displays a sly smirk. ".. love Kirari."

"Kirari?" Mary asks in a quizzical tone, averting her eyes from her friend to the movie. "Ah, so the actress portraying Asami is named Kirari."

"How come you don't know? She's like—popular since her debut!"

Mary was about to retaliate at the sudden burst of the latter—JUST BECAUSE she is not aware of who Kirari is. At least she is honest! Who the hell is Kirari anyway and how is she that famous? Mary would agree the villain role suits Kirari very well but is that just it?

"Anyway! That's not why I'm here." Sayaka shakes her head, though clearly aware of the tint of blush on her cheeks, she disregards that small matter and placed a thick file on top of a pillow, earning a look of bewilderment from the blonde.

Upon realizing what the file is, Mary's eyes widened, mouth agape which she attempted to cover with her palm after a low gasp escaped. "Don't tell me.."

"I got you a movie! I swear this is nothing compared to your other films you played in. This.. this would blow up once it's done!"

Mary picks the pile of paper up, eyes glistening with sparks that showed how her joy is overflowing. She felt a tingly sensation inside of her—something she felt back then when she got her very first movie with her as the main character.

Without any further ado, Mary skims through it, partly using her mind to remake the scenarios, ending up satisfied with her imagination. Sayaka kept blabbering at the background but she did not spare any ear to listen as she is occupied with the script.

".. and I personally paired you with Momobami Ririka—"

Mary's ears perked up. Abruptly, she diverts her attention to her friend with a creased forehead. 'Did I hear that correctly?' "Wait.. what? What the hell did you just say?"

"I said your love interest will be Momobami Ririka—"

"Why her? Out of all the people—that woman stole my fame!" Oh that name rings a bell, alright. Mary fumes with annoyance, huffing breaths out and crossing her arm which might have Sayaka briefly panic. Sayaka is already accustomed to have the blonde sulk every now and then, but in each time, it doesn't end well.

Mary could easily recall that platinum-haired from her physical features to her attitude. They may or may not have crossed paths once or twice while the blonde is taking a long break, and it was not on purpose. During a fancy dinner (Mary could afford expensive food from the effort she worked hard on), Mary did bump onto Ririka. Though only short interactions occur, she could say that Ririka is a shy girl.

And heavenly beautiful.

"Okay, look, she did not steal anything from you. She worked hard to get what she has now—I mean, they were born with silver spoons but it's not easy to start a career, alright? And I wouldn't say she is more popular than you. She's just.. you know, the talk of the town.. for the last months.. wait, I question how you know Ririka and not Kirari."

"That's not the point here." Mary brushes that specific topic off, waving her hands out of dismissal. "I am NOT acting with her."

'What Mary wants, Mary gets.' Sayaka thinks, releasing a sigh. She was about to nod as an agreement, that is, until, a lightbulb flashed on top of her head. Wearing a little smirk, she speaks; "So much for your comeback, huh? I know you've been wanting to get back on track and I pulled lots of connections just to let them get you.. I guess you'll have to wait for another two years—or more."

"Oh hell no I ain't waiting any longer! Fine, I'll have this.."

'Jackpot.' Sayaka mentally celebrates in triumph whilst watching Mary whine out of defeat. "Good. The producers are throwing a welcoming party this weekend. I'll pick you up. 6:30 pm."

"Alright, please wait here. I'll have to speak with the director." Sayaka sternly eyes Mary before leaving her side. They arrived at the said party—which is a rented room big enough to fit a lot of people. It is nothing like a crazy Saturday drunk party or anything—this.. this is formal.

'God, I need booze.' Mary inhales, the cold air coming from the air conditioner breezing inside her nostrils as she makes way to the table that displayed various of beverages.

Just as she was about to grab a glass, someone had beaten her right through it. Mary could feel the soft, milky skin of the other though only briefly when she retracts as soon as she could. Gazing at the culprit, her eyes widened to land on such beauty.

"Erm.. sorry, I didn't know you were taking that one." Ririka's lips quivers, cheeks flushed with embarrassment as she pushes the glass closer to Mary. The blonde stood still. She had no idea what to do. Her 'rival' is in front of her—talking to her! 'Huh. She looks prettier than before.'

But it seemed like Ririka is still talking to her. Mary couldn't hear anything but she is fixated on the latter's plump lips moving as she speaks. Why couldn't she hear anything? And why does those lips look inviting?

".. Saotome-san?"

"Muh, wha.. what?" Mary shakes her head, bringing herself out of her trance. 'God damn it! Was I fantasizing about her? Shit!' "Sorry, I gotta go."

"Oh.. okay.."

"Not so fast, Saotome-san." Before Mary could even take a step, someone called her again. She is used to it, yes. She always get called by her fans whenever she walks around in public and all that.

Looking back, she is met with a carbon copy of Ririka's. Mary immediately noticed who she is, judging from the way she and the character she watched—she is not mistaken that they are the same woman. Yet Mary chose to be clueless. "Who are you?"

"Momobami Kirari. Pleasure to make your acquaintance." Kirari flashes Mary a smile, similar to the one she wore at the movie Mary watched. It was as if she is ready to mock Mary. "Unfortunately, I'm not in the movie. I'm here to accompany my dear sister only. But I am certain we would have had so much fun on set."

The way she spoke is something Mary could not bear. It was harmless and all, but the least Mary likes is someone teasing her—someone she is not fairly close friends with.

"Mary!" All of a sudden, a raven jumped onto the said name, embracing Mary in the warmest hug she could have. Yumeko smiles widely, expressing the happiness she is feeling. "Teehee! I missed you dearly, did you miss me too?"

Not being able to receive a response, Yumeko glances at Mary, only to see the blonde eyeing Kirari with an irritated look. "Aw, your glare is so sharp that Momobami-san might melt here~"

"G-get off me!"

"Interesting." Kirari mutters, amused to see the two friends in an intimate skinship. She decides to follow Ririka—whom actually walked away when none had acknowledged her presence. Very unlikely. She is aware of having Ririka in the dark, but never did she complain. Why walk out all of a sudden. 'Interesting, indeed.'
