Rescue and Return
The group followed Aizawa as he led them to a big but empty room, the walls were a metalic silver and in the middle of the room there was a large table surrounded by a black leather couch. Everybody sat down after Aizawa and they sat in silence for a moment before Aizawa cleared his throat to get their attention and started speaking.
"Okay so the plan is simple, first of all we're gonna need a location of a missing kid. There would be no other way the boy find these children besides missing posters. It would have everything he needs aslong as he can search it up and it would also tell us where the child was last seen. This kid doesn't like to wait around so we gotta be fast. Hawks, you will stay in the sky but not too obvious and wander around the neighborhoods till you find the newest missing poster. Once you get it I can arrange everyones quirks into a plan. I selected you guys because I know no matter where he saves that kid you guys will be useful." Aizawa took a deep breath and stood up, his heart filled with determination that he wouldn't show but the look in his eyes say otherwise.
Everybody stayed silent and watch Aizawa walk out of the room only to stop midway there.
"Meet back in this room within a week, don't let this distract you and also even during weekend train your quirk, I don't want to see any of you guys slacking around." Aizawa said as he made his way to the door and shut it with dead silence.
Hawks was the first one the move as he processed what he had to do, he sprint walked out of the silence and on he way out he gave everyone a snap back to reality yelling, "Last one out is a rotton egg~!"
Everyone scrambled out of the room after that whether it was to hit hawks or to not be the last one out.
Shoutos' heart was pounding, well atleast he hoped it was, he didn't know if he was in the heavens or what, he couldn't bare to open his eyes if he could as his thoughts filled with a dead child, what if she died? Did I fail? Why can't I open my eyes? Am I in heaven? Most likely hell but still-
His thoughts were interupted when he heard a cough and a cry which he was sure wasn't his own as he finally pried his eyes open taking in the scene which was still in tact by what it looked like, the villain was still impalef with icicles going through his body but that wasn't important right now. Eri was.
He looked down as he let out a long exhale not even knowing he was holding his breathe or even breathing at that. The child was alive. Still breathinf and he realizing the cough had come from her and the tears fell down her pale face, she was scared, probably traumatized, she could have died, and all of it would be Shoutos' fault.
He had to shake the negative thoughts away as he noticed the bomb was still on her, he quickly froze it completely and gently but quickly ripped it off. Why didn't he rip it off in the first place? He could have thrown it or something at least get it off the child. Was he that stupid?
No, it's not his fault he was just caught up in the moment, he couldn't think clearly and the only thing on his mind was deactivating that bomb so the child wouldn't die. This had to be one of the few times Shouto was glad his now dead sister taught him how to deactivate a bomb.
He of course missed her as an image of her popped in his mind but it wasn't the time to mourn over her death, his whole family is dead and they had it coming. He wasn't saying he wouldn't die too but he atleast was doing something good, atleast he thought so. Sometimes the rumors from his customers do get to his head but he couldn't let that take over him. He's been called slut, villian, mistake, threat to the society and many more, at this point he might aswell make a counter.
Right, he's getting off track, Eri. I have to make sure she's okay, Shouto thought as he brought a hand up to her cheek wiping the tears as they slowly stopped falling leaving her eyelashes wet and eyes puffy slightly red at the rim of her eye sockets.
"Hey Eri," Shouto said in his usual soft voice he always uses with kids but it's more shaky and soft since the child had just been put through the thought of her life ending, he gulped at the thought but continued. "My name is Shouto and i'm here to help, your alive and safe now but I need to make sure your relaxed before we make our way out of here."
Eri seemed to slowly understand and responded with a slight nod as her sobs went to a quiet whimper and Shouto waited patiently for the poor little girl, he knows that she's still shaken up from what just happened and was willing to wait hours if that's what he needed for the girl to be ready to move but at the same time he knew he had to get them out of here before it gets too late and people may have heard the fighting or seen a few peaks of ice.
Thankfully Eri had cooled down and gave a slight nod to Shouto that had waited patiently on one knee in the comfortable postition incase he had to grab Eri and run or if he was gonna he waiting for a while.
Shouto reached out his arms slowly as Eri watched him, he knew how these traumatized kids felt about touch so he has his own techniques of making sure to pick them up in the ways that he knew they would be okay with which in this case her being on his back which was his usual to be able to climb and he pulled out his on stand by hankerchief that was always in his belt that had all his different tools stored in compartments not to heavy things that weighed down his belt though.
He placed Eri gently on his back making sure to quickly tug down his mini box skirt (that wasn't exactly made for fighting but good enough for climbing and getting his job done) and then opened the hankercheif using it almost as a thin blanket for Eri and placed it around them grabbing the loose corners from the back to bring them under his arms and tieing it in a knot at his front right on his belly button as the hankercheif exposed his stomach more and the crop top flowed just above the knot Shouto had tied.
He quickly glanced around the area and found a decent sized branch and burned it, he the placed the burning twig over the dead villian not even taking time to watch him burn to ashes since the child was still aware of what's going on. He flashed a pleased smirk at the man which was soon to be a pile of ashes before he started a sprint home
Least he did what he came here for, it may have been one of his most risky plays in awhile but for a child Shouto would risk it.
