
"Colet, they’re leaving," Aiah’s voice was laced with sorrow as she broke the news, holding a pieace of paper that seems to be a letter. Her eyes were glassy, brimming with unshed tears.
Colet's breath hitched. It was as if the world had suddenly stopped spinning. Her heart clenched, and for a brief second, she forgot how to breathe.
"Their flight will be in twenty minutes" Aiah muttered
"What do we do, Colet? Jhoanna— She’s gone, they're gone..."
The weight of the words sank into her chest like an anchor, pulling her down into a sea of emotions. She wanted to move, to run, to do something—anything—but her feet were frozen in place.
Then, like a flash of light breaking through a storm, an image of Mikha’s smile surfaced in her mind.
That smile—that damn smile that made her fall—ignited something inside her.
She looked at her wrist watch, "I still have time. We still have time," she whispered.
With renewed urgency, she spun on her heels and bolted toward the door, flinging it open as she rushed outside
