𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐥. | 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐱 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫

𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃—𝐄𝐘𝐄𝐒 𝐋𝐈𝐓 𝐔𝐏 𝐀𝐒 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐄𝐗𝐔𝐃𝐄𝐃 𝐄𝐗𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓.

"Hey, Chae, a new transfer came in today, right?"

The brunette looked up, glancing up at you from her book as she leaned her cheek into the palm of her hand. "Yeah, why are you interested in him like almost everyone else?"

You blinked slowly before letting out a small laugh, waving your hand in front of your face in an attempt to wave off her question. 

"Of course not," you explained as you glanced to the side, looking out the window from the corner of your eye. "I was just a bit curious."

A sigh left your lips as you looked back down at your book on the table in front of you. 

It'd be a lie to say you were as awestruck as everyone else that seemed to have come in contact with the new student but it also wouldn't be the truth to say you weren't interested just a little bit. 

You leaned back into your seat as you looked up at the ceiling. It was definitely a bit strange for someone to randomly transfer in the middle of classes and win the attention of everyone with ease. 

"After all, ii's not every day that someone transfers and get's everyone talking about them," you said as a small smile curled onto your lips. "You can't blame me for being a bit curious now, can you?"

She let out a sigh as she glanced back at you from the corner of her eye. "I guess not," she said before looking back down at her hands. "I can't say he didn't make an interesting first impression."

The corners of her mouth pointed down as she buried her face in her hands. Just thinking about how things have been so far since the transfer student showed up was stressing her out. 

It wasn't as she disliked him. It had been less than a day since she's known him and she's only exchanged a few words with him.  

Her eye twitched as she thought back to class with him. 

It was just too frustrating, she could barely pay attention to class with how much everyone was whispering to each other about him. Plus, the fact that he acted as if it wasn't going on and was actually able to pay attention to class wasn't exactly helping her feelings.  

Shaking her head she let out a deep breath and looked back at you with a small smile curling onto her lips. "I guess I can't blame you for being a bit curious. How 'bout I introduce you to him tomorrow?" She offered. 

A wide smile spread on your face as your face lit up. "That sounds great!" You said in excitement as you clapped your hands together. "I can't wait to meet him."

"But—" You interrupted as you got up from your seat, leaning in closer to her. "Do you think you could tell me about everything that happened in class?"

She looked at you with a tired look on her face. 

'Ah, she's really excited, isn't she?' 

Glancing down at you she looked away as she felt her eye twitch and her smile falter slightly. She was hoping to put off mentioning him again until tomorrow at the very least but it was impossible to say no to you, especially with how excited you were to hear about him. 

She scrunched her nose as she felt a bitter taste enter her mouth before shaking it away. "Well," she said as her smile returned back to her face. "If you really want to know, it was pretty impressive when he actually managed to dodge one of Zack's punches."

Your eyes widened in excitement as you practically bounced in your seat. "Are you serious?" You asked in disbelief. "Was it like that scene in Toriko when Shuu—" 

"Alright, I'm going to have to stop you right there," she said, interrupting you as she put a hand in front of your face. "Offense, I'm not really all that interested in hearing you ramble about anime for a few hours."

"Wha—" You looked at her in shock as she simply looked away. "I was just saying it must've been cool if you're saying he dodged Zack's punch of all things."

Her shoulders dropped at your less than believable explanation. "Y'know that you can just say 'that sounds cool' with bringing up anime, right?"

You looked away. 

Her eye twitched as you ignored her stare that you were obviously feeling nervous by. "I'm starting to feel like you do stuff like this on purpose."

Despite her obvious concerns, you couldn't help but laugh as you flashed her a smile. "But really, I can't wait to meet the new transfer student, he definitely sounds interesting."

"Are you still talking about the transfer student Vin?" 

You looked at the rapper with a less the impressed look on your face. It didn't take too long for you to catch up with everything and according to Mary, he's been talking about the new transfer student since the news of his fight with Zack travelled through the other departments. 

It was almost like he didn't know when to shut up. You could already feel the smile on your lips start to falter as the corners of your lips twitched. 

'Can he shut up already? Everybody has been calling him cooler and more handsome since class started!' 

Taking a deep breath you glanced at him from the corner of your eye. He was still going on and being as passive-aggressive as he could.

He was, surprisingly, acting even more annoying than he usually is. Well, that is of course, if that was even possible for him to even be. 

"Don't you get tired about talking about other people?" You asked as you looked over your shoulder, a tired smile dressing your lips. 

'It's starting to get tiring to smile while listening to the things that you're saying.'

Despite your attempt to try and get him to shut up already, all your words did was make Vin talk even more. It was as if you said the exact opposite of what you said. 

You sighed as you buried your face in your arms. 

This definitely was not how you ere planning the beginning of your day to go. All you wanted to do was go about your day as normal and possibly meet the person that caused an uproar at school. 

It seemed as if you would have to go through much more than you really wanted to do for that to happen though. Maybe it going through all of this wouldn't be worth talking to him. 

With the way things were going you would be okay if you just caught a glimpse of him and got Vin to shut up for a few seconds. 

"I feel like Chae's revelling in this right about."

Your jaw dropped at her words. 

She just stared at you with a bored look on her face as she buried a hand into her pocket. It was as if she didn't see the problem in what she just said. 

"What do you mean he's not here?!" You said in shocked, your shoulders drooping as you felt your face start to heat up in frustration. 

She blinked slowly before answering your question in a tone of nonchalance that seemed to make you feel more tired than upset. "Its exactly what it sounds like, I drifted off asleep in class and when I woke up he was gone..." She looked to the side with a nervous look making its way to her face. "Along with everyone else."

Of course, this would happen because she happened to fall asleep in class. What else did you expect from her?

"I can't believe this happened!" You whined as you grabbed your head, roughly running your hands through your hair as you messed it up. "I went through all of that with Vin only to not meet him?!"

Lady Luck just didn't seem to be on your side today. 

You spent the next few minutes complaining to the taller girl as she, for the most part, ignored you, only giving you one-word responses and a few hums. 

As expected, nothing that she said or did really helped you feel much better. In fact, your interaction with her probably made you feel worse than before. 

You let out a sigh as you tilted your head up to the sky. 

Despite it looking relatively peaceful to anyone else you couldn't help but think the sky was looking a lot more dreary and depressing that it actually was. 

Shaking your head, you slapped both sides of your face. You ignored the stinging sensation as you felt your cheeks start to burn.

"Come on now, that's enough of that [Y/N]," you said to yourself as you mumbled under your breath. "There's no point in dwelling on it anymore."

All thinking about things was going to do was make you even more stressed and annoyed than you already were. There was always tomorrow after all. It wasn't like he transferred to Jae Won only to be there for a few days, you could meet him tomorrow if you wanted to. 

Grabbing the front of your shirt, you smiled as you let out a sigh of relief. 

'Yup, that sounds good. See, [Y/N]? There was absolutely nothing to be worried about, you were just being paranoid and overthinking things.'

As you went on with your walk, you continued to make strange faces as you acted out your conversation with yourself in your head—not caring if anyone managed to catch a glimpse of your and your strange behaviour. 

Before you knew it, you were already in front of the convenience store. 

"Wow, that was a lot quicker than I thought it'd be," you commented, having almost forgotten what you were doing there in the first place.

You took a step forward, a bounce in your step as you pushed the door open. A smile dressed your lips as you hummed softly careful as to not be loud enough to alert anyone. 

Glancing from the corner of your eye, you gave the cashier a small nod as you smiled at him before you made you way down one of the aisles. 

After a few minutes passed you managed to find everything that you needed much to your relief. At least there was one thing that happened today that wasn't a complete disappointment. 

You glanced up at the cashier, a thought popping into your head that you weren't sure to ignore or not. 

For the most part, you liked to think that you were polite. As far as you were concerned you never did anything to make anyone feel uncomfortable. 

It was just that you tended to have a habit of going a little overboard when it came to things that you were as Chaeyoung put it, "passionate" about. 

There wasn't anything with that on its own, it was more of the fact that you tended to "convert" people to becoming a fan much to your friend's displeasure. 

You were holding back the urge to jump in place as you smiled at the black-haired cashier. 

He seemed nice enough, you were sure that he wouldn't mind if you just brought something up. It wouldn't be too big of a deal, right?

"That'll be—"

"Have you ever read Chevalier?" You asked in excitement as you leaned forward, placing your hands onto the counter as you smiled at him. "Oh!" You said in surprise. "Sorry for surprising you, I was just curious."

"[Y/N], I'm going to tell you this for the last time. Stop trying to get random people into your stupid webtoon," the taller girl said in exasperation. 

She swore you were going to be the death of her. It was frustrating that she only had to leave for a few minutes for you to try and sink your claws to someone.

"Fine," you said as you rolled your eyes, looking away from her as you crossed your arms across your chest.

You shook your head as you ignored the fashion student's warning. It wasn't as if she could do much if she wasn't here, plus, she wouldn't be able to do anything if she never heard about it, right?

By that logic, you basically had nothing to lose. 

Staring back at you in shock, you continued to ramble on—failing to notice the flustered look on his face as you went on and on in your attempt to get him interested. 

"I have an idea!" You said, pointing a finger up in the air before quickly digging through your pocket. "How about we exchange numbers? It'll be a lot easier to talk that way!"

Daniel had no idea what to think of the situation that was unfolding in front of him. One second he was working and a pretty girl walked through the doors and the next second she was asking to exchange numbers. 

This night wasn't going as he originally planned it to go. 

Somehow, despite his nervousness throughout the entire interaction he actually managed to get a few words out and by the end of it, for the first time ever he had someone's number in his phone. He still hadn't able processed that he not only got someone's number in his phone but he got a random pretty girl to give him her number and ask for his in return. 

You didn't notice the inner turmoil that he was going on as he turned on your heel and walk over to the door. "Anyway, I should get going. I'll talk to you later!"

"Let's go look for him right this second!" 

The older girl looked away from you as she let you pull her up, not doing much to stop you as you pulled her around. It was almost as if she didn't care what you were making her do which was probably not too far away from the truth. 

"Do we have to?" She asked, glancing back at you from the corner of her eye. "He's probably already made some annoying friends and I don't want to get any more dirty looks for just talking to him."

It was as if you didn't hear a single thing she said. You simply gave her a bright smile as you flashed her a thumbs up, "Don't worry about it, I'm sure we'll find him quickly."

Her eye twitched. "Did you even hear a single thing that I said?" 

"Not at all."

"Wha—"

She wasn't able to say much of anything else as you pulled her along, forcing her to enter the cafeteria with you as she simply groaned. 

"Here we are, so," you said as you glanced up at the taller girl. "Do you see him anywhere?" You asked as you let go of her hand, letting her stand up completely. 

She squinted her dark brown eyes as she surveyed the room, stopping as she fell onto the transfer student and his... bizarre ensemble. "Ah, there he is," she said as she pointed over at him from across the room. "But he looks busy so let's just—"

You didn't give her any time to say anything else as you wrapped your hand around her own, pulling her along as you walked over to his table. 

The excitement you were feeling was too much for you to bear that the moment you arrived at his table you greeted him immediately. He was barely given any time to look up at you and register your sudden appearance. 

"It's nice to meet you!" You said as you plopped down in the seat across from him. A wide smile dressed your lips as you leaned your chin into your hands. "I'm [Y/N], you must be the famous Daniel Park that I've heard so much about, right?" You asked. 

"I— Uh..." Daniel tripped over his words, that is if course if you could even call them words. They sounded more like failed attempts at speaking as he stuttered. 

His face started to burn as you watched on with confusion. It was as if you didn't even realize or notice the effect that you were having on the flustered teen as his face started to burn, 

You blinked slowly as you looked him up and down with wide eyes. "Is there something wrong?" You asked as you sat up straight. 

It seemed that much to his dismay, you were finally noticing his flustered state despite how unaware you were initially. Just how lucky was he that you finally realized there was something going on with him?

Not at all, he wasn't lucky in the slightest as you looked him up and down in confusion. 

Despite the fact that all you were doing was trying to understand why he was so nervous, all you were doing was making him even more flustered and nervous as you continued to scrutinize him. 

Not exactly sure what to do, you tried to speak up but were cut off. You barely had enough time to get anything out before Daniel immediately turned to suddenly start up a conversation with the bespectacled teen sitting beside him. 

You dropped your head as you let out a huff of disappointment before you looked back at Zoe. You shrunk almost immediately as you looked back at her, you weren't completely sure what to think about the sharp glare she was shooting you. 

Upon realizing your eyes were on her, she shook her glare away as she flashed a smile. The dark-haired teen laid her head in the palms in her hand as she just smiled innocently. 

A nervous laugh left your lips at the action. Zoe always was a bit more... tenacious than most so her behaviour wasn't too out of the ordinary. 

The brunette wasn't exactly sure what to make of the scene, she wasn't sure what she was expecting but it definitely what she was witnessing. Anyone with half a brain could see how awkward and nervous Daniel was being and while she wanted to get rid of the awkward air there was only so much she could do. 

It was that and the fact that she was having way too much fun watching everything go down. 

While it might've sounded a bit mean spirited she couldn't help but think it was a bit amusing to see someone that everyone was head over heels for to get flustered so easily. Though she had to admit it was a bit strange to see, you'd think that someone like Daniel would be used to getting attention from people. 

But in the few days she's known him that didn't seem to be the case, he seemed to get nervous by the smallest sign of positive attention. Forget about the way he reacted when he got any nice attention from girls, it was all a bit too strange for her to ignore for long. 

She hummed as she looked the flustered male up and down, arching a brow as she hummed to herself. There was certainly something off about him, she just couldn't put her finger on. 

He couldn't help but feel like there was someone watching him, more than the usual feeling he was starting to get used to. Despite, his better judgement, the black-haired made the decision to look away from Jiho, glancing to the side from the corner of his eye. 

Before he could say something a voice cut through the awkward air causing him to jump slightly. "Yo, Daniel, why did you transfer to J High?" 

He blinked slowly as you turned back at him, taking a deep gulp he gave a nervous laugh. "Oh, I thought it'd be better if I went here since it's more helpful for the future."

You got up from your seat, leaning forward as you looked at the nervous teen in excitement, your eyes practically sparkling to the point that he could've sworn there were stars in your eyes. "Is it because your last school didn't help you nurture your talents enough?"

"Where did you hear that?" The brunette asked as she gave you a judgemental look. 

You flinched slightly at the blunt tone of her voice, laughing awkwardly as you glanced back at her. "Oh, well, I heard it in a movie and I thought it'd be cool to say in real life."

"Of course," she sighed in exasperation. 

And just like the five of you got to know each other even though it was clear some members at the table weren't exactly fond of the idea. 

Even if Chaeyoung wasn't exactly ecstatic with the outcome of the situation, reluctantly giving her number to more people than she ever dreamed of, at least you were finally able to talk to the infamous transfer student. 

You let out a deep sigh as you stretched your arms out above your head. You slowly opened your eyes as you let your hands drop to your sides. 

"Well, today went a lot better than yesterday," you remarked as you looked up at the taller girl. 

Compared to yesterday and everything you went through aka your disappointment from dealing with everything only to get nothing in the end, today was perfect. 

"Was meeting Daniel really that impressive?" She asked, her arms folded behind her bag as she took small footsteps forward. "I get that you were excited to meet him and all that but..."

You looked up at her and flashed a small smile. "Of course," Your cheeks started to burn as said student popped into your head. "He was so much more handsome than you said he was!"

Ah, there it was. 

Her eye twitched as you began to ramble on much to her displeasure. 

"Though, I have to say that I'm a bit surprised that he's in the fashion department of all things," you said as you looked away. "I mean, you'd think that someone like him would be in vocal and dance or practical music department, right?"

"I guess," she sighed as she looked to the side. "He's alright I guess but I'm surprised you already like him so much, it usually takes you a few days before you decide that you like someone."

She was a little surprised by how quickly you became interested in him, it wasn't like it was too out of character for someone like you. After all, it usually took you a few days before you came up with your opinion on someone and it was almost never negative in nature. 

"Of course!" You said as you gave her a thumbs up. "He reminds me a lot of Bo-gum Park, it's almost hard to not like people as pretty as him, don't you think so?"

She sighed. 

It was impossible to escape talking about him, wasn't it?  

At this point she was starting to regret even offering to introduce you to him, it was bad enough when you talked about people like Eli or Jay. She wasn't even sure what she was going to do at this point, all she knew was those pretty people were too much for her to deal with. 

Well, it looked like you certainly had an interesting year ahead of you.
